I'm using my NAS drive to backup gamma, and it doesn't sync half of the files due to path length override (255 max path cap) with win11 file system.

Not sure if it's fixable at all, but the .Groks Modpack Installer is mostly the culprit.

Is it safe to delete the .Groks Modpack Installer folder?

I removed some paranthesis after these folders, they were named something like:

Does the same apply here - safe to edit the name of subfolders, or would it screw up the mod somehow?

I changed both the name of the mod, 101 BAS scopes, also these subfolder names.

If you have "dubious ownership" error, do the following:

1. First try to close the Gamma launcher, and run it as administrator again, click install/update and see if the error is gone.
2. If it doesn’t work, close Gamma launcher and go to GAMMA/Grok's modpack installer/resources and run git-bash.exe as administrator.
3. Copy and paste the indicated command line from the gamma launcher black window ('git config --global --add ...') to the git-bash.exe window and press enter. (picture for reference below.)

• Note: Pay attention to what you copy, if the line has spaces in-front, or is missing characters at the end, the fix will not work.

4. Now close the git-bash and run GAMMA Launcher as administrator again and click install.

3. If you have a NVIDIA GPU, you can enable Triple Buffering, and set Low Latency Mode to Ultra in NVIDIA control panel

5. If you have a beefy GPU, use Anomaly (DX11) (no avx)
6. Don't use the Turn this on if you stutter mod

Does anyone have any news or advice on how to reduce stuttering in the game? I installed everything perfectly, and my PC consists of an RTX 3060 with 12GB VRAM, 32GB RAM, and a Ryzen 5 5600X. The game runs with plenty of FPS, but the stuttering is quite constant and sometimes very severe.

1. Update G.A.M.M.A. to the latest version (open GAMMA Launcher with admin rights, click on Install / Update)

3. If you have a NVIDIA GPU, you can enable Triple Buffering, and set Low Latency Mode to Ultra in NVIDIA control panel
4. Open Anomaly Launcher via MO2 and tick Prefetch sounds
5. If you have a beefy GPU, use Anomaly (DX11) (no avx)
6. Don't use the Turn this on if you stutter mod

4.) Save the file
5.) Delete the folder Anomaly/appdata/shader_cache
6.) Play the game

just rerun gamma launcher as admin and update, that fixed most of my errors

1. Open your G.A.M.M.A. Launcher as admin;
2. Make sure all 4 checkboxes are enabled;
3. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. and wait for the install process to be done;
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

Turn your anti virus and firewall off (Defender, McAfee, Norton, etc) temporarily to just update / download the GAMMA mods and when done, turn it back on.

@Oleh I also came to the same conclusion when I saw it in my list, and I reenabled it. Save starts. Whoops :D. Got a black screen when playing though. All the pop up menus show up but the environments ink black. I assume this would be fixed with shaders recompilation.

@inland vapor If you are failing to download all the mods and still don't have #📍577-mods-in-mo2, then ensure you are doing the mandatory steps below:

• Completely disable your antivirus software for the duration of installation. Do not enable it again until you have a working install. For more information, go to #🤖bot-commands and type !antivirus;
• Exclude both your Anomaly and Gamma folders in Windows Defender. To learn how to do this, go to #🤖bot-commands and type !defender;
• Once the above steps are done, ensure you have the latest launcher as seen in #💽how-to-update and start it as administrator.

Hi, can anyone please explain this bug I've been having? Around dynamic light sources, there's been these obnoxious squares with black lines. I think it's an issue with ScreenSpaceShaders, as I had this same issue with this mod in base Anomaly. Here's an example of a campfire in Limansk.

Instead, do this:

1) Go to GAMMA RC3\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_patches\appdata
2) Copy the user.ltx file you'll find in there.
3) Go to Anomaly\appdata and paste the user.ltx there, and replace it.

1. First try to close the Gamma launcher, and run it as administrator again, click install/update and see if the error is gone.
2. If it doesn’t work, close Gamma launcher and go to GAMMA/Grok's modpack installer/resources and run git-bash.exe as administrator.
3. Copy and paste the following command:
   git config --global --add safe.directory '*'

Show the helper that gave you these instructions a screenshot of the git-bash window before proceeding.
