Hey guys, I've just done a fresh install of Gamma onto a portable hdd in the hopes of being able to transfer it onto my computer and a friends to save downloading Gamma twice. So my question is, if I copy the Gamma and Anomaly folders I've made to both computers do I need to update any settings to tell it where to look?

For something unrelated, more along the lines of a minor annoyance: What's the deal with the game deciding to open itself only to the bottom right corner of the screen in borderless? usually goes away after starting the game over if it's bad enough, can sometimes be fixed by getting the game fullscreen then back to borderless if you can reach the "Apply" button in the settings menu.

5) Overwrite/replace all if asked
6) Go to your \Anomaly\bin folder and delete d3d9.dll and dxgi.dll files.
It won't delete your save files.

1. Open your G.A.M.M.A. Launcher as admin;
2. Make sure all 4 checkboxes are enabled;
3. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. and wait for the install process to be done;
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

The Gamma Launcher freezes when I try to update.
I am currently on 6.0.0.0 but didn't update for a week or two, (might have been more, unsure) due to not playing. Now, when I try to update, the launcher freezes, no interactions possible, cannot move, cannot click on anything. Only method to close is to do so from the task bar or manager.

Terminal readout follows:

Do you have a good CPU? Use AVX (if you have a crash, it probably means your CPU doesn't support this function).
Do you have a good GPU? DON'T use AVX.
Do you have both? Try for yourself, see what's better.

Actual explanation:
AVX is a way for your CPU to do calculations on a large array of data simultaneously. This is the same kind of job GPUs are primarily meant for.
So if your GPU is decent, AVX is (in most cases) outclassed by the GPU itself. Best way to know which is better for you, personally, is to try both versions and see what does or doesn't crash/performs better.

If you have "dubious ownership" error, do the following:

1. First try to close the Gamma launcher, and run it as administrator again, click install/update and see if the error is gone.
2. If it doesn’t work, close Gamma launcher and go to GAMMA/Grok's modpack installer/resources and run git-bash.exe as administrator.
3. Copy and paste the indicated command line from the gamma launcher black window ('git config --global --add ...') to the git-bash.exe window and press enter. (picture for reference below.)

• Note: Pay attention to what you copy, if the line has spaces in-front, or is missing characters at the end, the fix will not work.

4. Now close the git-bash and run GAMMA Launcher as administrator again and click install.
5. You might have to repeat these steps for the next 2 git folders, aka:

2. Make sure all 4 checkboxes are enabled;
3. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. and wait for the install process to be done;
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

Hey guys and gals, so I've had a problem for a little while and i was just going to try to do a reinstall. I found my save data folder and was wondering if i copy and save the save files somewhere else on my computer will i just be able to move them back into the new save folder when i reinstall? will they still work or will that mess something up?

If your Scavenging skill level is too low, items have a chance to despawn from the bodies you loot:

• F-1 grenades (100%)
• Nosorog exoskeletons (85%)
• Cz-M10 Spartan helmets (50%)
• other items except weapons and armor (0.25-4%)
  To avoid the despawn your Scavenging skill has to be level 17 or higher.

Additionally, in order to loot an outfit or a helmet from a body a certain rank value is required. The requirement is almost negligible, rank value as small as 7000 is enough to meet a rank requirement for any equipment.

Fresh install of gamma and my pda is bugged (it will lift the pda + arms above normal position) and when "using the pda" it will zoom in normal position (but the pda is now above).

2. Make sure all 4 checkboxes are enabled;
3. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. and wait for the install process to be done;
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

Why do we have these mods in the mod list if we can't activate them?

Because G.A.M.M.A. is STILL IN BETA.
NO, Grok can't simply remove these mods. Version 1.0 will have a clean mod list.

Hello I'm new to gamma and I absolutely love it ! So thank you to everyone for your work on gamma. But I am having some frequent crashes when loading into areas and sometimes just randomly. Problem solved. Inside Stalker Anomaly directory, I deleted gamedata folder after learning that this folder re-generates himself at start. After deleting said folder, I booted Anomaly with no mods to have the folder regenerate himself, and then booted via mod manager to add remaining files
