@idle yoke If you have the OpenAL: Failed to create context error, you can try these fixes:

  • Re-plug in your headphones or speakers before you start the game (Also try different ports)
  • Play any kind of music or sound file as you open the game, e.g. music on your PC or on Youtube
  • Change your audio device in Windows
  • Enable Instant Replay in Shadowplay, apparently?

Hi, the Clear Sky questline when you have to meet Scar in Zaton and help him broke my save it seems like. HUD broken, Scar has random merc voices, game always crashes eventually, can't save either. Any idea if I can workaorund and fix my save?

Hi, im playing in DX8, because my pc would burn if not, i set everything to min specs and deactivated every mod that the FAQ for dx9 compatibility says should be unchecked, but there is a lil thing about the body health sistem, some months ago i played a lot and i could change the show of the sistem in my HUD with H, now i cant see anything else than stamina and PSY health, is this because of an update in the mod or is something about DX8?

Excuse me, I'd appreciate some help ^^'

I followed the steps to disable the Body Health System, but it seems that medkits / first aid kits or whatever they're called from base Anomaly aren't back, so I don't have a reliable way of healing (I believe Yadulin makes my character dizzy which makes it hard to aim, so that isn't the best idea in combat), is there a way to recover the original medkits from Anomaly into Gamma ? ^^'

I keep getting this error
I am not using a D drive so not sure why it is pointing there
I had a previous version of gamma with the older 5.0 installer, but since I saw a few people having issues I decided to just delete everything and reinstall
I dont have any red x on my mods
I have already tested with Anomaly and it works for all direct x versions but for gamma it keeps crashing like this on launch
One thing is when it launches now, I see the Anomaly launch image not a gamma one.

one last thing is I see there is an update for Mod manager from 2.4.4 to 2.5.0 I have nto updated that

havent played gamma in awhile, reinstalled the launcher and ive tried 4 times already to install the new addon mods but i can never get over 412 mods on the mod launcher, also after each failed attempt it still shows "update available" next to the gamma addons status so idk. im thinking it might be easier to just reinstall the whole damn pack.

@tranquil breach If you are failing to download all the mods and still don't have #📍577-mods-in-mo2, then ensure you are doing the mandatory steps below:

  • Completely disable your antivirus software for the duration of installation. Do not enable it again until you have a working install. For more information, go to #🤖bot-commands and type !antivirus;
  • Exclude both your Anomaly and Gamma folders in Windows Defender. To learn how to do this, go to #🤖bot-commands and type !defender;
  • Once the above steps are done, ensure you have the latest launcher as seen in #💽how-to-update and start it as administrator.

If the above steps still do not solve your issue, then verify your hosts file by going to #🤖bot-commands and typing !hosts. If that still does not work then connect to a VPN and try again.

If none of that works, then make sure your game is installed at the root of whatever drive you are using, e.g.: C:\Gamma, D:\Gamma - notice that there are no periods between the letters...

Usually i am warned by the shift + f5 save not working, or loot disappearing when disassembling, heavy stuttering, or in the last case, the interact keybind not working at all (F) In these cases i usually work my way to a campfire to save + load which so far has fixed these bugs

!busyhands // There it is. I believe your problem is actually Turn this on if you stutter mod, as it MAY cause busyhands to occur more often. Try to disable it and load a save to before you experienced any of the issues you listed. Instead, go to #🤖bot-commands and type in !core0
Also, while you're at it, check out the rest of the Busyhands FAQ, and check out the Busyhands Watchdog script mod. (Install it via Ctrl+M in MO2)

@fierce hamlet "Busyhands" is the name of a bug that softlocks your game by preventing you from performing basic game functions. Common signs include:

  • Broken health HUD (all red)
  • Can't do any animated actions (use meds, eat food)
  • Crashing on area transition
  • Can't open inventory
    If you have it, reload an older save. Eventually this may not work any more, you'll be in permanent busyhands, then it's time to start a new game. Read more here: #╭📖faq message

1.) Go to GAMMA\mods\190- Screen Space Shaders 15.0 - Ascii1457\gamedata\shaders\r3
2.) Open the file check_screenspace.h with any text editor
3.) Insert // in front of the line #include "check_screenspace_FOG.h"
4.) Save the file
5.) Delete the folder Anomaly/appdata/shader_cache
6.) Play the game

Stash missing? It's not near the floor, on the roof, in the pipe, in the cocrete pipe frame, outside, or apparently anywhere. I checked that playlist that one dude made for stashes and it's not in that video either.

In order to remove the voice of your character in the game, disable these mods in Mod Organizer:

  1. 15- Voiced Actor - DesmanMetzger
  2. G.A.M.M.A. Voiced Actor
  3. 95- Doom-like weapon inspection - Grokitach

If you want to change Mercenary faction voicelines from English to Russian, disable these mods in Mod Organizer:

  1. 8- Better Merc voicelines - YankeeGolf
  2. G.A.M.M.A. Better Mercs Voices

So i'm having a loading problem when trying to teleport to Cordon. I was inside the Chernobyl power plant, went outside, tryed to teleport to Cordon and it crashed the game. 1. Open your G.A.M.M.A. Launcher as admin;
2. Make sure all 4 checkboxes are enabled;
3. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. and wait for the install process to be done;
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

  • In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
  • If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

i have a lil problem with the Body Health System, idk why but no matter what i do the HUD doesn't show up, Key H does nothing and weirdly, in the MCM menu i cant find the BHS window to make changes the mod settings, i made a clean re-instalation of the whole Anomaly and GAMMA yesteday and at the start, the modlist showed 443 mods active instead of 444, i thought i shouldn't worry about that but maybe i should have worry about it, also, i made every change necesary to play in DX8 by following the FAQ to play in low-end/potato pc

@pseudo garnet "Busyhands" is the name of a bug that softlocks your game by preventing you from performing basic game functions. Common signs include:

  • Broken health HUD (all red)
  • Can't do any animated actions (use meds, eat food)
  • Crashing on area transition
  • Can't open inventory
    If you have it, reload an older save. Eventually this may not work any more, you'll be in permanent busyhands, then it's time to start a new game. Read more here: #╭📖faq message

it doesn't change anything, numpad enter hides everything and shows up the whole hud but it doesn't change the BHS health HUD, and for now, pressing H does nothing, i have played the game before and it made a weird sound with a load animation of the HUD in 2 different settings, but right now it doesn't do anything, and i find it weird that i can't find the mod settings in MCM, unlike my previus run months ago

mhm it's weird, i have go to every save i have made as a soldier (just 2), one is the first created when u start the game and another after a few test, i reloaded the firt one and nothing, BHS still doesn't show up, i thought maybe my game was messed up from the start so i began a new game with soldier again and this is what it shows, stil can't find the MCM setting to change it to text HUD

I dont know if this is the right place to ask this but:

Does anyone know why the Radio Playlist instructions say to change the audio files to mono channel instead of stereo?
I ask because rather than following the instructions I wrote a python script to convert YT playlists to OGG files and it worked but it keeps them in stereo because I simply forgot that part of the instructions. However, they still play in game and seem to be in stereo in game. The file properties confirm they are definitely in Stereo.

1. Open your G.A.M.M.A. Launcher as admin;
2. Make sure all 4 checkboxes are enabled;
3. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. and wait for the install process to be done;
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

  • In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
  • If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

Depends, but I suggest making sure GAMMA and Anomaly folders are in antivirus exclusions, and that your antivirus is completely off for the duration. It's also not good to watch YouTube or use any streaming services while the download is going

Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

  1. Collapse the categories in MO2, by sorting mods by Priority and close the categories by using the arrows on the left side (first picture for reference below).
  2. Screenshot your MO2 by using Shift + Win + S.

@potent orchid To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

Uhm... Weird issue here. I was playing earlier today and everything was working 100% fine.

Now I can't launch the game. It just doesn't show up and the mod organizer just goes back to as if I had just opened it. I tried setting it to bypass the anomaly launcher and telling it to go directly to Anomaly DX11 and it says that AnomalyDX11.exe does not exist.

@twin crag G.A.M.M.A. isn't built with Warfare in mind and Warfare, per se, have bad perfomance, bugs, issues, etc., this is why it isn't recommended.
You can play it if you really want to, but forget about #🔨base-gamma-support, this channel support is only for G.A.M.M.A. vanilla (which basically means no extra stuff at all) and is also used by Grok for bug fixing.
Since G.A.M.M.A. vanilla doesn't use Warfare, you'll need to use #🔨modded-gamma-support.

  • Increase texture detail to 3/4 or 4/4, or enter texture_lod 0 in the in-game console, and then restart the game.

If the steps from above didn't work, try this fix instead:

  1. Download the mod from #🔨base-gamma-support message
  2. In Mod Organizer 2, click on File -> Install mod
  3. Find wherever you saved the Jubs_Low_Texture_Red_Dots.rar file.
  4. Click “OK”. Name it however you want. It will be at the very end of the mod list.
  5. Enable this mod.
