Was looking to get some help with crashes I've been consistently having. The crashes span multiple playthroughs, all around the a similar level of progression into the game where upon transition to Agroprom or Great Swamps the game throws up the attatched error message. Don't verify stuff with the Anomaly Launcher, you're using Mod Organizer 2 to launch the game and to manage the mods used in GAMMA.
The error you'll get is harmless and doesn't mean anything, that's not the problem you have with your game.

@severe seal Anomaly has a limit of a total of 65535 objects (IDs) in the game. Whenever the game engine generates a new enemy with items, it tags the object ID number to the enemy unit and its items.
The same goes for traders & their items, every time you interact with the trader and visit a new place and kill an enemy and check their loot, you make the game engine generate ID numbers. If that ID number reaches 65535, the game crashes, and you won't be able to play anymore on that same game file, unless you "free" some IDs.
You can lower the amount of used IDs by letting items despawn or by selling/donating them at any trader.

You have to reinstall Anomaly, follow these instructions:

  1. Add your Anomaly folder to your antivirus exceptions. For Windows Defender, do as instructed here: #πŸ–₯️how-to-install message

  2. Now delete all the content inside your Anomaly installation folder.
  3. Move both the Anomaly 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 update .zip files into the now clean Anomaly folder.

I think the RF Signal stash spawn in Northern Farmstead (Swamps) might be broken. I've been calculating the area it's in and I know it has to be in or around the NE house, but the chest is empty and there's no more loose loot/unmarked stashes for me to interact with.
Might be a skill issue which I will accept if it is. Just afraid it'll lock me out of RF stashes if it's a bug.

If you have already updated to 1.5.2 and still having problems, it means you did something wrong.

  1. Download the 1.5.2 update from here: https://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly/downloads/stalker-anomaly-151-to-152
  2. Open the archive, you'll see 4 folders and a text file
  3. SELECT the content of this archive (4 folders and a .txt file)

well, being not a legasthenic, I followed the instructions on this server whenever they could be applied. sometimes references were wrong, and overall the whole section was a chaotic mess. seemed fine in the end, during the update routine all went well and moddb organizer shows 422 mods in the end.

You have to reinstall Anomaly, follow these instructions:

  1. Add your Anomaly folder to your antivirus exceptions. For Windows Defender, do as instructed here: #πŸ–₯️how-to-install message

  2. Now delete all the content inside your Anomaly installation folder.
  3. Move both the Anomaly 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 update .zip files into the now clean Anomaly folder.

  8. Now, always inside your G.A.M.M.A. folder, go inside the .Grok's Modpack Installer folder and open the G.A.M.M.A. Launcher as admin, press First Install Initialization and select your Anomaly folder in the popup, don't open it, you just need to select folder.
  9. Untick/deselect all the options under the Install/Update G.A.M.M.A. button and press it to install and finish.

1. Check if you are blocked from accessing and browsing https://www.moddb.com/ (you'll see a big red screen)
If you are blocked, then WAIT for the indicated time + 40 minutes and then try to visit the website again.
Alternatively, you can use a VPN to bypass the block.
Don't check every five seconds if the timer is going down, it can lead to problems.
Don't delete anything unless we told you to do so.

If you're not blocked:
2. Open your GAMMA Launcher and check if you have the latest launcher, which is 5.0.0.0.

If you don't have it, go in #πŸ€–bot-commands, type !50 and follow 2), 3) and 4) of the steps, then continue with this guide
3. Disable antivirus temporarily

@leaden plover To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

Having a really persistent annoying bug where in story mode disabling the brain scorcher works (quest changes fire, sound fx fire, mono's spawn etc) but does not disable the brain scorcher psy field effect (IE still needa slam psyblockers to not perish - even with psi helmet - which was already weird bc I thought the helmet would protect me but oh well).

Ran into it on vanilla setup and tried restarting the run made no diff, deleted user.ltx made no diff. Don't wanna miss out on the little bits of story mode but its rough.

Yes, I have tried debug mode and deleted common squads. I waited more than 48 hours in game time and tried to enter wild territory. The game still crashed.

@minor quail Fix missing/misaligned red dot:

  • Increase texture detail to 3/4 or 4/4, or enter texture_lod 0 in the in-game console, and then restart the game.

If the steps from above didn't work, try this fix instead:

  1. Download the mod from #πŸ”¨base-gamma-support message
  2. In Mod Organizer 2, click on File -> Install mod
  3. Find wherever you saved the Jubs_Low_Texture_Red_Dots.rar file.
  4. Click β€œOK”. Name it however you want. It will be at the very end of the mod list.
  5. Enable this mod.

  • Increase texture detail to 3/4 or 4/4, or enter texture_lod 0 in the in-game console, and then restart the game.

If the steps from above didn't work, try this fix instead:

  1. Download the mod from #πŸ”¨base-gamma-support message
  2. In Mod Organizer 2, click on File -> Install mod
  3. Find wherever you saved the Jubs_Low_Texture_Red_Dots.rar file.
  4. Click β€œOK”. Name it however you want. It will be at the very end of the mod list.
  5. Enable this mod.

Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

2. Enable the top 4 boxes under the installation buttons, make sure they're selected
3. Click "Install / Update G.A.M.M.A." and wait for the install process to be done
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make also sure that you have #πŸ“577-mods-in-mo2

This procedure does NOT remove saves, you're NOT going to redownload everything from scratch and it WON'T delete your progress, your save is... safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall/fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated, will be updated, that's it, nothing else.

In case you want to save your in-game or MCM settings (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #πŸ€–bot-commands.

The 65k object limit is an engine limitation, so no one's going to mod that out of existence any time soon. Every time you start the game and load in your save, there will be a line in the .log file generated that says how many item IDs are associated with the save. New games start around 30k, and in my experience you legitimately have to try to run out of IDs if you are playing in vanilla GAMMA, no warfare, no mags mod.

your inventory/stash will start lagging out long before you hit the item limit. when it starts lagging out, take it as a sign that you need to do some spring cleaning

ALL right I finally got the 422 mods, a few flags but I already know the big three that are borked.
I just got a single question on a flagged mod thats new. Tactical Fonts for Anomaly 1K. Its hitting me with the funny red X.
Whenever I select to reinstall theres like 10 different checkboxes and I figued I'd ask before I do some more funny things and bork everything into the shadow realm.

I can't enter Army Warehouses at all, get this crash every time. I've been off and explored the southern regions for three game days, but it's still happening. I don't have any weapons with a Leupold scope, so I'm guessing it's the same NPC it's trying to load every time. Any way around this or is this run borked?

1) Go in this folder: [YOUR GAMMA FOLDER]\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_patches
2) Copy these four folders (check pic)
3) Go to your Anomaly folder
4) Paste these four folders (check pic)
5) Overwrite/replace all if asked
It won't delete your save files.

For whatever reason, spawning in the game as a new stalker with either the TOS-34 or the APS pistol whenever you try to use said weapons your characters arms jsut vanish and you cant do anything else. You remove the gun from the slot and you can do things again but other than that it looks like you simply cannot use those guns.

You have to reinstall Anomaly, follow these instructions:

  1. Add your Anomaly folder to your antivirus exceptions. For Windows Defender, do as instructed here: #πŸ–₯️how-to-install message

  2. Now delete all the content inside your Anomaly installation folder.
