good stuff. I found what i was looking for with the tooltip thing. There is a mod. Two of them actually. One has an instant tooltip, the other gives it a delay. i changed the delay to be more suitable to my taste.

i'm not new to mod organiser or modding in general, so i can probably give it a look in the lists and just make sure it's not wacky in there.
i'm just thinking if it's one offending mod then i can give it a once over making sure it's the correct launcher version then focus on fixing it myself if it's still blowing up

1) Download the old BaS version:

2) Extract what you downloaded wherever you want
3) Copy the gamedata folder you'll find inside
4) Open your GAMMA RC3 folder and go to GAMMA RC3/Grok's Modpack Installer/GAMMA/modpack_addons
5) Create a new folder exactly named 76- Boomsticks and Sharpsticks - Mich
6) Paste the gamedata folder inside this newly created folder
7) Now go to GAMMA RC3/mods and look for a folder called 76- Boomsticks and Sharpsticks - Mich.
If you have this folder - delete it, if you don't have it - skip this step.
8) Open Gamma Launcher as Admin
9) Uncheck every box, but leave Force zip extraction box checked.
10) Click on Install / Update G.A.M.M.A.

Mod list
To bring your mod list back to default, inverting any changes made by you:

To bring your in-game settings back to default, DON'T press the "default" button in the game menu - you'll mess up everything. Instead, do this:

You haven't updated to 1.5.2, that's why you're seeing this error.
If you already updated to 1.5.2 and still having problems, it means you did something wrong.

  1. Download the 1.5.2 update: https://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly/downloads/stalker-anomaly-151-to-152
  2. Open the zip, you'll see 4 folders and a text file
  3. SELECT the content of this archive (4 folders and a .txt file)
  4. DRAG AND DROP the content of this archive inside your Anomaly folder

just reporting back, didn't actually fix the save i was trying to load - issue was crashing on loading into cordon (presumably because someone had the offending texture). Reloaded into cordon and there's no crash this time, so time will tell if the issue was resolved - i figured chances are having just changed the textures with the redownload might be causing the crash so, yknow, we'll start there and if i get the same crash then i know which mod is causing it and i can try mending it.

What about animations? Can I enable them?

DO NOT ENABLE ANIMATIONS THAT ARE DISABLED BY DEFAULT, IN MCM IN GAME OR ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE MOD LIST.
They are disabled for the same reasons written above.

Why do we have these mods in the mod list if we can't activate them?

Because G.A.M.M.A. is STILL IN BETA.
NO, Grok can't simply remove these mods. Version 1.0 will have a clean mod list.

If you really want to use stuff that is disabled by default, forget about #🔨base-gamma-support, use #🔨modded-gamma-support instead.

because when it was installing i saw it it was installing some weird character model mod and it was stuck installing for like 30 minutes so i just cancelled that specific mod install and then the other mod installs ran just fine

  1. Update G.A.M.M.A. to the latest version (open the launcher with admin rights, click on Install / Update)
  2. Bring your modlist back to default (type !default in #🤖bot-commands)
  3. Enable the "Turn this on if you stutter" mod in your MO2 (you can found the mod under the G.A.M.M.A. Fixes separator)
  4. If you have a NVIDIA GPU, you can enable Triple Buffering in NVIDIA control panel
  5. Open Anomaly Launcher via MO2 and tick Prefetch sounds
  6. If you have a beefy GPU, use Anomaly (DX11)

You haven't updated to 1.5.2, that's why you're seeing this error.
If you already updated to 1.5.2 and still having problems, it means you did something wrong.

Why does every update completely reset my keybinds/my settings/my mods/my stuff in general?

G.A.M.M.A. has a default mod list and a default list of keybinds and settings, just to make sure everyone has the same things.
When you update, everything goes back to default for this reason, so yes, it's normal.

To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

Hello, not sure if this is the right place to ask for this, but I'm not sure what to do in regards to this. I play normal Gamma and for some odd reason after about 15 to 45 mins after playing my game will just freeze and stop responding. G.A.M.M.A. has a default mod list and a default list of keybinds and settings, just to make sure everyone has the same things.
When you update, everything goes back to default for this reason, so yes, it's normal.

With my performance being good now, I'd like to get rid of aliasing artifacts as much as possible as they're my biggest visual gripe with games. Can you upscale? My 1070 probably isn't the best gpu for this, unfortunately. Whenever that gets upgraded, it should be much easier.

1; No 378 since i ticked stutter fix in mod list, 2; no 3: just did the full fresh install yesterday so yes. 4: fresh save aswell. :So I am getting a weird frame issue (checked the pins but the 2 solutions for stutters in there had no effect) Its not a real stuttering issue although that happens every now and then. but I load into a save. The game runs mostly stable apart from a dip to 50ish fps at times but then after 10-15 minutes the frame rate suddenly sinks 70 to 50 and continuing playing makes it sink lower and lower from then on. Reloading a save does seem to fix it for another 5-10 minutes but then the same fps drop happens where it just starts slowing down till its laggy.

Ok so a few strange things happening. FPS goes from 100 - 400 rapidly on main screen before being in game.

In game everything is good and then all of sudden 1000+ latency on engine side.

Boars have run amok in cordon and they can run behind the counter. Also the vendor and the tech are god like beings lol.

I did finally manage to get the game to work I had to run directly from bins in gamma folder in order for game to launch(this was not an issue previously so I'm not sure what happened there). If anyone can't launch for hte life of them you can run the bins from gamma.

I was having ctd with no error message upon initial start up.

I also had to make a new game because it couldn't open the mags I had previously downloaded. (I recall adding the mags redux to fix something else, but now I can't remember).

ANYWAYS, the boars can run behind the counter AND the traders are invincible so.. I guess moral of the story is you want these guys as your companions.

So after updating to 0.9 I'm getting a crash to desktop when trying to enter a new game (no old saves). I can't get the error message to reappear but a few times yesterday I had the error stating "The instruction at (big number) referenced memory at (big number). The memory could not be read.". I've deleted the shader cache directory and tried updating the modpack a few times. The crash happens regardless of faction or zone I try to spawn into. I have not altered any of the default mod configurations in Mod Organizer or added new mods.

Try 2x AA and see if that does anything for you, if it tanks FPS too much as expected for many users, just keep it off. AA implementation is pretty meh on the engine imo, I would look into alternative methods to make it look nicer. If I have a high-end GPU like a gtx 1080 or better I would probably do something like enable DSR in the nvidia setting which allow me to render the game at a higher resolution and then downscaling it to 1080p, doing something like this should be a better alternative than trying to make AA work in Anomaly imo. You can also ask the folks in #╟🎑reshades for advice as well on how to make the game look better for what you have right now. Feel free to poke me if you figure anything out that works for you though, I'm definitely interested. For now I have to take off in a bit but we can def revisit this another time.

To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.

Mod list
To bring your mod list back to default, inverting any changes made by you:

2) Uncheck every box
3) Click on Install / Update G.A.M.M.A

To bring your in-game settings back to default, DON'T press the "default" button in the game menu - you'll mess up everything. Instead, do this:

To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

So I'm having a problem with MO2 maybe not loading all mods, because after I launch GAMMA through MO2, it goes to a vanilla Anomaly menu, and I have to back out. It seems like MO2 is not recognising all the mods or something? idk

yeah this is some missing dependency shit. make sure you've got the other two things. if that doesn't work try picking one of the other Anomaly options e.g. DX10, DX8

Why does every update completely reset my keybinds/my settings/my mods/my stuff in general?

G.A.M.M.A. has a default mod list and a default list of keybinds and settings, just to make sure everyone has the same things.
When you update, everything goes back to default for this reason, so yes, it's normal.

You can backup your keybinds and mod settings following this guide: #╭📖faq message

each time i update through launcher I see some downloads are aborted and then I see flags on the mod organizer; I am seeing the same 2 files having aborted downloads - grulag dead bushes and fixed artefacts under map; is there a way to update/verify mod files or should i do a fresh reinstall?

1) Download the file from GitHub, by pressing the Green "Code" button > Download zip.

2) Go to your GAMMA RC3/downloads and delete gamma_large_files_v2 and gamma_large_files_v2.meta if you have it
3) Download the file from Github. Make sure it's called gamma_large_files_v2 and NOT gamma_large_files_v2-main, rename it if it has "-main" at the end
4) Make sure that the very first folder inside the zip is named gamma_large_files_v2-main and not gamma_large_files_v2
5) Drop the downloaded zip in your GAMMA/downloads folder AND DO NOT EXTRACT
6) Launch GAMMA Launcher as admin
7) Uncheck Update Large Files and Force Git Download
8) Click the Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. button.
