pair that with the fact that 2k doesn't have the words "optimize" or "optimization" in their vocabulary and you have the main reason why it's not one universal version

It wrecks systems because they don't optimize it. If these systems can run things like Planetside 2, how in the world could they not run next gen 2k?

That's just one example, I could rattle off a bunch of very intensive games with massive maps and lots of particles on the screen but it would be unnecessary.

There's very little on the screen in 2k besides the environment. If they would just set it up properly and optimize it, you could run it on nearly anything.

Especially on PC where most games have a vast array of graphics options to make any game work on nearly any rig.
