It's not worth swapping them around. Being able to Jab behind you is useful enough to keep it the way it is. This aint Smash, you can turn your jab around so..

It's not based on completing rifts, it's based on the levels of your gems. Granted, playing through the easier difficulties should help for gem xp. If you haven't yet, I'd recommend getting the stars on other rifts of that same gem color, and if you've done that already just make sure you're getting the daily rewards and doing that on the highest difficulty you can

This is like when players try to reach lvl 70 bp faster with grinding every 24 hours per day in pvp and buy bp earlier (not really wrong about this second way)
But we can reach it without them if we can finish all daily, weekly, event, etc. It really efficient and not really exhausting, but it need more patience

That means you only need to do just over 1 difficulty a day between now and the end of season to get Smith for free.
Pace yourself out and you'll do fine. The easier difficulties are basically free if you fill out your star meters

That megaladog insanity rift IS beatable without buying (I did it). However, I would not recommend going through that. It is genuinely unfair, and the slightest mistake results in taking 70 minimum

You need to do any 20 difficulties across all rifts for Smith, but starting with easy for the first 3 and working your way upwards helps smooth out the difficulty curve
For reference, by the end we'll have 32 difficulties across 8 rifts total.

You see those challenges you have when entering a rift match, like using a certain character? Those give you stars.
Those fill the star meter, and when you hit certain milestones, you get a lot of gem exp.

It's very possible, you have 8 rifts in the end and if you have all of the difficulties, that's 8*5 = 40 bosses

Even without the looney difficulty you still get 32 tiers

I have no idea but the game had a terrible launch for Xbox in terms of performance for series consoles specifically and it was just recently fixed but suddenly after this patch the game started consistently stuttering again and I'm quite sure it isn't running on stable 60 or 50 fps even.

It might be dropping to below 30 at some points which makes the game feel SLOW.

The infinite tier should be working now at least, I was able to get fighter currency from redeeming it earlier.
The bp nerf does suck and it's never a good sign that they did it without mentioning it in the initial patch notes, especially since you needed 40 games minimum for a level when it was 50/25

It isn't really much of a problem, for me I can play at least 15 to 30 minutes to finish up daily and some of the event missions and I'm done, if you got a proper schedule out you wouldn't be able to miss anything nor play for hours on end

I will argue that the base game sfv was soooo much more grindier to get all the characters, but it wasnt like hey log in everyday or you wont get this and that

I come from league, valorant, r6 and game alike that already had the battlepass mechanics and where you had to play a bunch to get everything you want

Next to that i grew up on smash where was a full game you paid for and the very little content that was unlockable was unlocked by playing

So far the missions that required those skins were doable in rifts i believe
And those that were not were simply optional that gave a boost in progression speed to those that paid while not making it impossible for those that didnt

Welp i really don't have much to say about this cause i don't relate to a lot of stuff that you say, but i played genshin and the thing that makes it different and easier to complain for a lot of people i guess is because the content is so much bigger than mvs. To be fair, technically mvs is a "new game" And sadly not everyone knows that the developers were forced to change the game engine, that's way the developers seemed that didn't do much for the game, even though then again, it is a free game lol

It's a different story if this f2p live service game really suits a platform fighter game, as it's such a nieche genre

Sure but these are all for cosmetics. Not a single reward in the game, beyond maybe perks, are required to play the main multi-player game. You don't even need other characters, but they don't cost real money either.

Anyone complaining about too many requirements for winning a skin or gem XP or whatever is forgetting that they aren't entitled to it and it is not necessary to have.
