Hey, has anyone had an issue with launching the game all of a sudden? I'm playing with a few friends and after giving the one a rebreather he suddenly couldn't control his tadpole and then when he went to restart he literally can't get back into the game. Hes been uninstalling and reinstalling for over 30mins now and still nothing. He's on a steam deck if that matters.

Its more of a why tho situation hooking lights into the power point system is not really doing anything to gameplay it feels bad given the modules dont have integrated lighting like last time and aside from that its simply an annoyance for annoyance sake rather than something that needs to be there. Basically the way to do it is lights are set to baseline power if the module is powered the lights are on if it is not they are off and it does not actually consumer power points reserving those for actual high load machines.

Like I dont mind micromanaging base lighting but dont make it a chore

Minerals don't respawn. You're missing 2-3 nodes, as there's 10 all up. ||Get a metal farm going to avoid having to search high and low for the other 3, and farm it that way till you have ~16, 5 for metal farms, 10 for endgame, 1 for the metal farm "seed" ||

It doesn't, only plantlife respawns, I've kept track of all the areas I've farmed. Mineral nodes do NOT respawn. Not even the quartz you got from the coral at the start of the game. Same as water slugs.

It's 10? 20? power (sorry I can't remember), you stick the resource you want inside, timer will show up, a metal rod will extended above the farm, you then use sonic resonator like it's a node for more resources. Best part is, the resouce you use as a "seed" doesn't get used up ||

The depth module mk1 can get you to the ||alien ruins|| fs, just try to hug the surface of the water. But that should be doable too i think

Quarz ||Go North west from the life-pod. Behind a fracture are corals with much Quarz on them||
Batteries: ||For batteries you need to knife the thing that gives you the healing gele right under your life-pod.||
Lucifer Rotsac: ||Can be found On top of plants, is glowing orange||
Lithium: ||Can be found in caves in the heat zone||
Gold: ||Can be found in caves in the heat zone, also occasionally on the floor||
Sulfur: ||Can be found at the "Blackbox - Zip" cave and generally in the heat biome.||
Alien Enamel: ||They're the tusks found on the rock, and those are found at the needlers nests which are Straight East from the lifepod.||
Salt: ||Can be foundin the heat zone & in rock spire caves.||
Necrolei Cyst: ||Can be found About 250 Meters northwest from the life-pod in the blue biome, can be harvested from ontop of the small blue plants.||
Celesine: ||Can be found everywhere behind the Research outpost. Looks simular to Quarz but flatter.||
Aracamithe: ||Can be found 1500 Meters east from your lifepod around the Alien constructment||
Conduit Crystal: ||Can be found at the Karakorum Power Plant||

** -DNA Modifications 🧬 -**
Food Mod.: || near blackbox 1, touch the pink part of the big blue tree||
Heat Mod.: ||150m-200m west to north-west from the life-pod is a destroyed flower that gives you the modification if you repair it.||
How to repair the flower: ||follow the destroyed veins (2 total) and destroy the neon cyan flower things. after that they will be at the huge flower and you need to defeat them once more.||

Yes because the story is very very VERY well done and the lore is captivating. the gameplay is smooth even with the bugs due to early acces. i personnaly love the new biomes and mobs and overall i think it is better than the the 1st game BUT i'd say no because as of right now the game is not finished and so it is pretty shot

Many times. In the tadpole did nothing. Afterwards i decided to destroy it with hit damage, somehow managed meanwhile I only rotate / stationary. When it got destroyed, i respawned again back into the tadpole. Except that I had no oxigen. And funny fact the battery was still kept being consumed

Na, the range is dookie, you'll see the node before the sonic echo does. I actually do have criticism with most the biomods being fairly weak though, especially this one given how you obtain it (25m range is no bueno). Just look for the uranium lookin rocks, should be 2-3 nodes around still... somewhere

I personally found that there's too much danger down in those spots, so I just built up by the research base instead. Unless we get ways to ward off creatures or better blend in, or creature behaviour is adjusted some places are just very annoying to base build in and there's not much a player can do yet.

Well I have 2 saves running side by side with my friends

One save I completed with my friend on launch day in like 7 hours.

I cant lie, lets stop lying to ourselves, the story and NoA were horrible, it got rid of the deolate feeling from SN1 , when it was just you and the radio exploring the ruins of the world, with rare short and quick dialogue. Now its just a 24/7 voice line confusing exposition dump and you dont feel alone because of it. If it were just some small voice logs hinting at the infection and the mystery of the tree, and saying like 'Don't trust NoA' rather than boring exposition that is required then it would be better

They have said that the the collectors "home biome" will come later in EA and i would guess that's where we'll see an adult collector leviathan
