So I was in creative just seeing how far I could go. ||I went all the way to the tree|| then I went down and found the sea floor and followed it until the sea floor and water above split to reveal what I can only explain as a rip in space, just bright lights in a gap, obviously the only right thing to do would to be to swim into the rip in space and at that point the sea floor no longer exists. That point is around 4000m deep, so I just kept going down and it forced me to stop at exactly 10,486 m and I am no longer able to move.

Kind of feels like a tech demo right now. I would play below zero first as it is fully complete. So far Subnautica 2 looks very promising but isn't a real game yet.

For example the small annoyances (which add up) in my playtime so far.

• Lots of placeholders
• Creatures deal 0-5 damage, your health gets reset to 100 every few seconds (you're basically invincible and always in creative mode)
• All items other than the scanner use basically 0 charge (dunno why)
• You're stuck at a very slow movement speed, basically you need a seaglide 24/7 (and its slower too)
• Missing animations

So if you like playing with commands and creative mode, Subnautica 2 is probably it, if you like Survival, play below zero and come back later

tbh subnautica 2 looks absolutely insane. got everything on High, reflections and textures on EPIC and god damn, the game is pure eye candy.

opti for a day 0 early access build is beautiful, runs super smooth. only thing a bit wonky is piloting the mobile underwater vehicle, feels kinda clunky, but whatever. also co-op/multi working perfectly on day 1?? massive props to the devs, chapeau bas, that's how every launch should look like.

only tiny complaint is the night lighting, feels way too weak. even with the bigger lights unlocked, it's still pitch black inside the base. might just be my fault for picking a bad starter spot with barely any bioluminescent fauna outside, but yeah, could use a small visibility tweak. biomes aren't super diverse yet either, but i'm not worried at all.

the foundation here is crazy solid. unknown worlds cooked hard with this one. can't wait to see how it evolves!

I feel my friend and I are perfectly playing the roles matching out Career paths.
My friend got Base Architect, I got Xeno Biologist.
So while my friend is relaxing and adding another room to our base.
