DEVS I have no idea how tf yall managed to make this, but the game been running smoothly on my laptop (with a GTX 1650), this is honestly amazing, I've been a fan of subnautica for years now but couldnt play the game since I had no console or PC until I bought this one, so this is my first time playing it myself and I'm honestly surprised with the fact the game is so well done and optimized that I'm getting 60fps on full screen medium graphics on this old gpu LOL thanks for your hard work!!

writing is a bit lacking i think same problem as below zero.. gorgeous environment, i wish the lifepod had a ladder same as sn1 so we could climb on the top so we can just sit and watch the sky. I tried to do this from the water but water kept washing over my screen and that's fairly irritating. There's a lot of ways to criticize capitalism without repeating the same talking points other pieces of literature have already said time and again, and I am hoping that they incorporate more show don't tell on the final release

I've only played a couple hours, but I think story and info is unfolding too rapidly. Too many PDA entries too fast, too many techs too fast, too many NoA things too fast, etc. I'll try to slow it down from my end, but it'll be difficult and I wish the game had a slower burn... like drinking a fine wine rather than gluggling down a big gulp 😄 So much comes at you that PDA entries, scans, and NoA words overlap and play over each other and what not pretty frequently. Items should be scattered out more, imo. Like you have all the bare necessities in 10 minutes

They have this thing where they just go swimming by your side but far away and if you go up they go up if you go down they go down and using an Air Bladder is so fun because they keep coming out of the water with you

Great people of Subnautica, good evening. I am sorry to interrupt the conversation guys, but it seems endless, and I don't think I can fin a better place to ask my question.

For those of you who playing Subnautica 2, is it better to make first playthrough alone or with some friends? I know it is very individual, but I can't decide and would like to hear your opinion. I really value the game's atmosphere, and I am a bit afraid to play with my friends because i think it can make immersion worse, but at the same time the multiplayer concept is there for a reason and seems pretty reasonable and fun. I also have good friends I can play with, so I was trying to solve that dillema for the entire evening. Your thoughts?

Hey Steam Deck folks! If you run into the black screen issue, please try switching to Proton 10 via the Gear Icon - Properties - Compatibility (it's at the bottom of the list). You'll probably see an error pop up, but feel free to just hit OK on it. The game should continue to load normally after that.

We're actively investigating this, but this seems to get most folks going again.

there is a big issue where the current will push you against rocks pinching you and there's literally nothing you can do you can't exit tadpole or move will keep posting till someone helps this is a total game breaking bug you can not continue even unstuck doesn't work
