Okay so for anyone getting the crash when launching the lifepod when playing on a mac with Crossover, it's because the game fails to play the video of the cutscene. What you can do is go into Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Subnautica2/Subnautica2/Content/Movies and rename LifepodVideoLowest.mp4 to something else (or delete ig), and then rename LifepodVideoLow.mp4 to LifepodVideoLowest.mp4.

It'll play as a black screen in-game but you can just watch the video from the files.
