Getting back to this base power thing: if you have multiple energy sources in your base and lots of stuff consuming power, it's important to realize that you probably cannot keep your base power full all the time. Base power going down is not a problem as long as you have unused reactors (basr power sources are used one at a time until it's empty)

Simple example is water filtration machine and 2 bioreactors: given time (and removing water bottles/salt and adding biofuel) the base power will stabilize at 500/1000.

My Base Hull Strength is 16.7, which as far as I know is very safe for a base, but I keep getting holes for some reason. Idk why, I've never had this issue before.

Feels hollow is an interesting critique that I have to disagree with for the following reasons: The biome has new creatures and fauna you havent seen before. Theres a good supply of valuable resources. and you can even stumble into a ||ghost leviathan|| which had likely not been seen up to this point. I also find the argument that there isnt incentive to go deeper kind on unfair. ||The thrive Degassi base is down there filled with all sorts of valuable blueprints and even a cuddlefish egg.|| it also leads to a ||Lost river entrance||. I think the terrain also sets itself apart pretty well that makes the biome interesting to explore.

You are right that the biomes dont hit the same after the early game. But I dont think thats a bad thing and can stem from expectations. Games are experiences and experiences are meant to evoke many different feelings. To expect the game to evoke the same exact feeling over and over i would argue stems from an expectation issues rather than a game flaw. The biomes i listed are great in their own right. Not in the same way that the Mushroom forest or Jellyshroom cave is.
