Basically any edible plant works🤷‍♂️ Some like lantern trees because they don't need replanting. Some prefer bulbo trees and/or melons for getting high amounts of both water and food. Gel sacks are kinda good because they don't spoil (but water bottles and cured fish/nutrient blocks are more inventory efficient carry-on food)

And adding more thought: does inventory efficient affect that much, since you can eat the food to relieve inventory space🤷‍♂️ Especially gel sacks give 4/5 food and water, so you can eat them frequently or lots at a time to free inventory space 🤷‍♂️

The thing is that large rooms have 4 slots for bio/nuclear reactors, and alien containment uses 2 of those slots. So you can fit 2 containments in same room, and then above/below you can either stack perfectly aligned, or align in the middle, when fusing containments works little differently.

The biome map of subnautica repeats itself outside of thr actual map for reasons we dont know

Possibly a bug with coding considering the actual area you're allowed to go in is way bigger than the map itself
