As soon as it's ready! The gaggle team develop quickly, and we release patches fairly often. We don't often give out firm dates because it's either going to be a lie if we're wrong, or it'll be a rushed product that might sacrifice quality for speed. This could translate into releasing something without sufficient testing and creating lots of bugs for the game.

I'm talking about lobbies with 7 ducks/neutrals, and 9 geese.... it should ALMOST be a coin flip, but yet, there can be nights where you play for hours and stay stuck.

Honestly, it's just the luck of the draw. The roles are randomly assigned, so you're just as likely to get a new role as the same role. But it does make the game more fun when you play with more people, because then you can play with more of the special roles!

That requires the assumptions that 1. There was a reason to write that code. 2. That code has been in since the start of the game with no one noticing

If we are to assume that something is wrong with the number generator you are making the following assumptions, 1. that the generator is somehow flawed and not giving out numbers randomly, and 2. that the devs completely missed this until someone brought it up

Given that the game has been out for over a year now, with hundreds of thousands of people playing, it would honestly be worse evidence for the randomness of it if people didn't get the same role multiple times once in awhile.

The entire process is random, but it's very human to interpret patterns where there are none. If you had encountered a bug about the role assignment, it would be more likely to be an issue if it the results were absolute - For example, no player ever getting the Assassin in any of their games, or someone 100% of the time getting the Birdwatcher.
Players are also notoriously prone to exaggerate, and might interpret someone getting vampire three games in a row to being ten times in a row.
In short, the role randomization isn't bugged, your brain is bugged.

PS: I was asked to rewrite this and to also up the tone of hostility level from 2/10 to 9/10. Have fun playing GGD!

A lot of people don't realise speed and jitter are two different things, and that just because you're home connection is stable, somewhere along the hops, a packet drop could have happened, causing instability and making the game think your internet dropped out, kicking you from the game.

If you had encountered a bug about the role assignment, it would be more likely to be an issue if it the results were absolute - For example, no player ever getting the Assassin in any of their games, or someone 100% of the time getting the Birdwatcher.
Players are also notoriously prone to exaggerate, and might interpret someone getting vampire three games in a row to being ten times in a row.
In short, the role randomization isn't bugged, your brain is bugged.

PS: I was asked to rewrite this and to also up the tone of hostility level from 2/10 to 9/10. Have fun playing GGD!

As soon as it's ready! The gaggle team develop quickly, and we release patches fairly often. We don't often give out firm dates because it's either going to be a lie if we're wrong, or it'll be a rushed product that might sacrifice quality for speed. When you're the host, open up the Options menu, go to the Players tab, and click the Kick button beside the undesired player. They will stay booted until you make a new room or click the "Pardon Kicked Players"

This game is really fun but when the host leaves and you are left being host, there is little instruction for new players to handle issues.

If you don't like being host, you can always copy the room code, and leave/rejoin.
I believe they are considering allowing hosts to pass along the host powers, not sure. Haven't heard much about it in a while.

Someone in a public game is being toxic/abusive/swearing/racist

Unfortunately, we cannot control when bad actors enter a public game, but we do empower you by providing tools to help moderate these games. Conversations that go on in public games are still private, and we do not have access to the audio in any way. You can block or mute the relevant players in-game and use the in-game censoring filter. You can report the offending player as well, and these reports will be attached to their account, and may result in bans. If you are the lobby host, you can kick the offending players, and if you are not the host you can ask the host to kick them. Players who are kicked will not be able to rejoin the game unless permitted back in by the host. If the player in question is the host, and a sufficient number of players block their mics, they will be kicked from the game, and once again that will be reflected on their account.

Given the structure of the game, I would assume the geese are constantly worried a duck is watching them. And they would usually be right.

The ducks, naturally, know that geese are watching them, but they are here to kill them, so they're OK with it.

If you are regularly losing connection to the game, a good first step to try would be rebooting your router if possible. Most connection issues are router or ISP related. Can also open a ticket in #troubleshooting-and-bug-reports if it is a persistent issue

Several things there.
Animations are hard to add (or so I'm told it's not as easy as adding static images)
Budget - who is going to draw each frame of that animation? Somebody needs to be paid to do it.
Memory - they don't have unlimited texture memory to waste. Some sacrifices must be made.

I expect a custom animation for each time Xizta gets thrown out though...
