As soon as it's ready! The gaggle team develop quickly, and we release patches fairly often. We don't often give out firm dates because it's either going to be a lie if we're wrong, or it'll be a rushed product that might sacrifice quality for speed. This could translate into releasing something without sufficient testing and creating lots of bugs for the game.

Draft mode is locked to X-Large task pool. In larger games, yes, the task bar never really gets close, but in smaller draft games, I have seen the task bar fill up quite a bit. Part of it will depend on who is playing.

But Draft mode is also designed for more serious play, where you're more likely to find the ducks or get killed by them than reach a task win.

The way I see it, you aren't supposed to win with tasks. The task bar more acts as an incentive for the ducks to come out of hiding and make plays.

Of course this only applies to draft mode and certain settings for classic. You can set the task bar to fill however fast you like it in classic.

Kind of like how you rarely see geese lose to a poison sabotage in chapel and manor. It's an incentive for geese to be forced to group up. Not that those sabotages don't win games, just that it's extremely rare.

As soon as it's ready! The gaggle team develop quickly, and we release patches fairly often. We don't often give out firm dates because it's either going to be a lie if we're wrong, or it'll be a rushed product that might sacrifice quality for speed. This could translate into releasing something without sufficient testing and creating lots of bugs for the game.

If you find none of that explanation sufficient, as Herbert always says, today we are one day closer than yesterday.

Unfortunately, we cannot control when bad actors enter a private game, but we do empower you by providing tools to help moderate these games. Conversations that go on in private games are private, we do not have access to the audio in any way. Players themselves ultimately have control of who enters private games. You can block or mute the relevant players in-game and use the in-game censoring filter. If you are the lobby host, you can kick the offending players, and if you are not the host you can ask the host to kick them. Players who get kicked will not be able to rejoin the game unless permitted back in by the host. If the player in question is the host themselves, you and everyone else bothered by their behavior should leave and form a lobby of like-minded individuals, with your own agreed upon rules. If no one else in the game agrees with you, you probably shouldn't be playing in that lobby anyways.

I also would like to know the difference between the check and the question mark when selecting the roles. I read that the question mark gives a 50/50 chance but what happens when i check more roles than i have players? Then they will only have a certain chance to appear too, right?

If you have about ten just have 2 geese and just standard ducks til you get a feel for it, then adjust the settings how you like

Basically, it gives a 50/50 chance of it being added into the round, If they are, they will be randomly distributed among all the players.

That explanation is a bit lacking.

A checkmark will take priority. If there are 10 players in game and 10 roles are checkmarked (taking into account neutral and duck distribution numbers) then every player will have a role.
Is there are 8 roles checkmarked and two on ? Then 8 roles are guaranteed and two roles might appear or may not on a 50/50 chance.

If there are more checkmarked roles than players, no ? Roles will ever appear in game

There is only one exception to this that I know of. If you have say 3 ducks in a 16 player lobby and 13 or more goose roles checkmarked plus two duck roles and the rest on ? Then you may potentially get a lovers or hitman /bodyguard roles take priority, despite only being on ?

you can always try draft mode in all the maps, then people will play a variety of roles, and you can then choose later on which ones you want to make in a custom lobby 🙂

there is no right or wrong choice when it comes to the settings 🙂

another way to see common game settings, is to join one of the rooms in the LFG channels, then you can go to the settings console in the lobby and see what people have their role and timer choices as, to get an idea of what is common

I personally enjoy a faster movement setting, and turning vision lower for vulture, as it already gets a visual indicator for bodies. other role visions i generally leave alone unless i want to troll my lobbies by giving everyone flashlights.

@sonic jolt Regarding base settings, I would probably leave everything to the default for the first few games. If you find you are getting a bunch of task wins, make the task pool one size larger. Similar for other settings as you're going through: if you don't like something about it, tweak it slightly.

Instant confirm is a bold assumption. Firstly the engineer would need to be ontop of them, and then also assume it didn't come from the other side of the wall they're currently both standing near. Or potentially it was called in a massive group of people.

That info about the sabotage circle is interesting. So it's about as reliable as a FFXIV quest marker, where 'find five things in this area' usually has one on the very edge hidden on the other side of a wall or something.

I mean, that's situational. If there's no wall seperating the circle, it is instant confirm. Assuming you can escape as engineer and tell others. Which mostly depends on how fast the duck reacts to your presence and if they have their kill cooldown up or not.

But yeah, standing in a group is a good way to hide yourself which does prevent that
