yeah, we don't learn history of music with this subject (though sometimes it's beneficial if you know the characteristics of the time period of the pieces that you play, since it greatly affects the way you interpret them, but that's mostly for us folks that want to profesionally wreck our brains with it), but we have to learn how to properly teach our instruments to other people, which is a whole another type of art

The only takeaway I'm getting from this is that Silco found Palia on Jinx's phone and opened it once out of curiosity before accidentally falling in love with it and now he has a meticulously-tended digital garden, an immaculate MMO home, every possible cosmetic, and isn't sure how or when things got this serious, but refuses to give up the new habit.

It's pretty intense. Ducks have very fast-moving parts, for lack of a better analogy. They eat whenever they can to keep everything working properly and that means frequent bathroom breaks too. They're just fast little dudes.

Coincidentally, this duckspeed is what makes our moderator so effective.

Worry not, Gezelle! While we do want some user-driven events, we are definitely going to also have both seasonal and non-seasonal events. Players can hunt Palian wildlife with a bow and arrow for their hides, meat, and other valuable materials to craft and cook.

I'm assuming the difference being that while Combat means you will be attacked, Hunting just means you will try to Hunt smth while it will try to run away

Now as I see you keep calling the game an "MMORPG"
understand that palia is rather described as an "MMO Community Sim"
stats like in regular RPG doesn't seem to be smth to be focused on

There may be gameplay items that are visible, but they are not intended to interfere with any “look” you are trying to achieve. This gives players more choices to express their identity, rather than picking gear for the best possible stats.

Newer cars regularly don't come with spares, or tools, they come with a flat repair spray and a pump so you can temporarily fix it to drive to a shop where you can buy a new tire. Preferably from a specialist shop so the manufacturer you bought from makes more money. You can't even reset the air pressure sensors in a Hyundai without visiting a shop

I wouldn't mind loot boxes but only for 'special event' cosmetics that were "rare colors" of already accessible cosmetics.

Example: For a Halloween event there is a black witch outfit and an orange witch outfit in the standard shop. In the "Special Event Rare Color Loot Box" There is a purple witch outfit that glows that looks exactly like the standard outfits just purple and glowy but there is also glowy black and glowy orange outfits. All three of these would have roughly equal chances of appearing, not some skewed 'one sided thing to get people to buy all the boxes and gib all da monies". Yes luck would enter it but it would be a realistic number of boxes unless your luck just totally bit dirt.

And to ensure that people don't mess around with economy outfits can be "Traded" but not "bought on marketplaces." So people could give/trade doubles whatever but you couldn't 'exchange rl money for in game money' easily.

that once you buy the regular one there is a slight chance that you may get the rarer one, but you would only be able to buy 1 regular cosmetic so getting the rarer “shiny” version is purely luck and can be done only once per account and not “buy 200 of these boxes to have some chance to get it”

If you are interested on Palia I think that the basic thing you must know abt Palia is that it is not a game that will focus on combat
It has been said multiple times and is one of the things the game markets on
I think people should make a minimum of research for the game before asking a question, the same way that the monetization questions or the "when" questions seem offensive to me personally
