Yes, we used to have them all over the place here, but they were considered dangerous so everybody had to legally change them for fake gas ones. Back at the farm, we'd just throw rubbish on it. We also had a giant firepit outside in the yard and a giant tanker of diesel, uhhh, as kids we'd uhhh, nick the diesel and go nuts with the fire pit lmfao. Jesus maybe they were right to make us get rid of fireplaces.

There are a few neighbourhood type groups set up but they might not be the same group of people when the game releases. If you see the letters in brackets after their name you can ask if their neighbourhood has any info on it.

For example my one is PNN - Palia News Network. It's not really a neighbourhood as I am waiting to see if having a news network is as useful as my initial thought was.

Off the top of my head we have TWC The Wandering Compass - I think they plan to be an adventuring neighbourhood. ART (Name forgotten but about Art) is Berry's I think QoL ( Queendom of L'Asea) is Lady Brittany's neighbourhood.

And of course, because we don't know how extensive the neighbourhood system will be, it might be worth waiting before deciding on your release neighbourhood.

I see, thanks for the clarification. So, I dunno if this is a question, but, there are Neighbourhoods, but also other ways of distinguishing people into groups right? Are neighbourhoods something you can join just one of, for example would I need to hypothetically commit to your PNN thingy to find your news stuff? Or are there other guild thingies which you can make a PNN of that we can join multiple of?

We don't know much about neighbourhoods at all. At the least they are like other mmo guilds but .. ( https://www.mmorpg.com/previews/singularity-6-reveals-trailer-for-upcoming-community-driven-mmo-palia-2000122165 ) this news site attended a preview event about Palia and states that they were informed that there was so much in the neighbourhood system it would need a separate event of its own

With Palia not having a set server system, it sounds like neighbourhoods may be able to span the servers, but, it would depend if, the server allocation uses the neighbourhood to decide who to place you with. Can neighbourhoods span multiple servers ? That's a question I have been waiting to be answered. Can you be a member of multiple neighbourhoods ? It would be nice, but is it possible ? Good questions there too

The best we have is based on a dev comment of much less than 3 years .. when they first announced it. But they are basing release on how well the tests go. So that time frame may change. We are currently in alpha testing phase with a few more expected this year.

I'm excited about bug catching and tentatively about fishing. Depends a lot on how it's implemented. Personally, I enjoy fishing in games when it's something engaging like in Stardew Valley or utterly mindless and able to be done while watching a show like in World of Warcraft. I am unsure about how loot boxes was explained on palia website - please tell me you will not have any kind of loot boxes at all. The game will be banned in several countries if you have loot boxes, and they're just not good for people's brains. I understand there won't be any progress items for sale in the store, which is great, but I think avoiding loot boxes altogether is crucial, as more countries are realising how bad they are for people
