It's seriously just a waiting game .. we have had 1400 in 2 waves of pre-alpha and at least 3k in 2 waves for alpha - the second wave had no numbers provided and the first wave had about 1k-2k a day for 3 days. I really hope there’s animal husbandry. Feels like a corner stone for many games in the genre. Standard animals would be solid (like chicken and sheep), but having stuff unique to Palia would be fun. Kinda have to because I had a pint glass shatter on me from the temp once which may have mildly traumatised me

I find heating up the glass with some warm-hot water first helps to prevent it from shattering~ ^.^ but I usually avoid pouring super hot water into glass >.<

👀 When S6 has positions for remote customer support, that's when I'll apply. I'm one of those weirdos who actually likes working with customers and resolving issues. Good to know that approved remote locations are something they're considering for some of their available openings.

I imagine it depends heavily on the kind of work you'll be doing, whether they intend to allow remote work long-term, and whether you're trusted enough to land a position without being able to meet in person. Best guess ATM is that remote locations would still be within the state where they're based, but I actually don't know for sure.

It's means that while I've never worked on a game, I've worked for a lot of companies that played games with money while the rest of us made sure enough money came in for them to do it.

No, it's a paid position. Sometimes you work at a desk in a cubicle getting files sorted, conducting data entry, taking calls, and arranging meetings and such. Other times it's more front-facing secretarial work.

For me it was a mate im playing online with 10+ years now.
We had the idea of doing games for years now ...
Guess we are at a point, where stuff gets serious now xD

During the last 4 month in preperation to set up the company i got alot of stuff for deeper art learning and i love the opportunity i get here. Pressure is hard, deadline is short. But we will make it. We have to.
And if we fail ... well ... we learned alot and we got alot of experience in game design workflow etcetera.
So ... whatever happens. Win i guess :p

To add to what Simuel said .. it's all dependant on the job. In my case the Stock Control Clerk didn't require me to talk to external customers, but I did have to talk to other branches when doing a stock take. Otherwise I just dealt with the warehouse guys.
The Data Input Clerk job was pretty much do everything they ask you to. So I dealt with customers, chased them up for payment for the accountant and entered delivery orders and printed the labels for the delivery drivers .. needless to say that one was the most stressful but the only job I could get in the last 20 years
