Im looking for a game I can sink my teeth into, mobile games (for me) are just very short ways of killing time

Assuming low minimum specs means low quality game doesn’t make sense. The core game loop needs to be fun. This day and age it’s easy to go with an art style that’s unique and engaging without requiring a high end PC to run smoothly. Having played in all the play tests, I can say the low system requirements don’t make it feel like a mobile game at all. This is very much a PC game

People really hate Minecraft, League of Legends and countless other games because the graphics and platform.

I'll stop bringing up other games in here but I would like to say that Dwarf Fortress has some of the most complex systems out of all gaming, extremely rich and the graphics are literally just ASCII

If graphics matter to you, that's fine, but you're completely cutting yourself off from great experience if it's the only thing that matters.

I like cartoony 3D, some 2D and pixel graphics a lot in games
But I only judge based on graphics if it gets too much for my laptop to handle

From the public content I've seen of the game i.e screenshots and whatnot, this is not something that would be of concern in my opinion, its got this cartoony looking aesthetic to it. It's not like it's a Crysis game with potential to get nerfed to run on mobile.

I want Palia to look great, as I am kind of a stickler for graphics sometimes- I care more for how Palia feels. How well it’s performance is. Smooth gameplay, actions feel responsive, etc…

Genshin is a good example. While I don’t play it very much at all, the game felt good to play on PC and mobile.
I don’t know where all Palia is going, but if it’s just on PC (which would be fine with me), then I think S6 will find that sweet spot with graphics and performance.

Last time I played Eco, I had the entrance to my store right on the edge of my claimed chunk, while I was in my store sorting my goods, another player purchased the chunk touching the entrance to my store, and walled it off, so I couldn't get out and no one could get in.

Are there any plans to use something other than Discord for Palia? It may be a deal breaker for me if it's the only way to read patch notes, get help, discuss the game, etc. I tried to send out my two invites but both the people I sent them to turned Palia down because of Discord. Could we not just have a normal forum like every other game? There's too much social media as it is.

Discord is just a live feed forum combined with voice chat features that uses to require running a separate prog. It allows a more private and focused experience than FB or Twitter. I'm not sure why people feel like that's a bad thing. I would expect some kind of traditional forum further down the line on the official website, but we're in so early in development that managing something like that is probably less of a priority than just setting up this discord and grabbing a few mods to be eyes and ears.
