I don't know if there will ever be a win scenario with Palia so there likely won't be a pay to win issue .. end game ? doubt there is anything like that that could be sped up as the main story line would result in the end of the chapter waiting for the next. So if anything it will be the battle between those with money able to buy something and those without money having to work for it .. the middle man will likely be more comfortable having the choice to do either. Money is always a sore subject .. hopefully their solution will work well enough for everyone

Eyup. One thing I always wanted to live by was the idea of some kind of trading wagon or camper as a home. Just camping and farming at places for days, then come back to process it. with the camper itself not being a rabbit hole and has some furnishings or crates for cargo inside.
I'm pretty sure that this will not be possible very soon, though.
One thing I dislike about Stardew Valley is, that I can't start without the plot of land and instead be a camping person just besides the town. >_>
also I only wish to do that in virtual environments. IRL I never want to do that.

One of my best gaming experiences in mmo's was just gathering ore, wood and other stuff in lords of the rings online to craft them to equipment and just selling or equip me and friends. All the while my fiancee stood in hobbiton field to grow crops and cooking them.

Being a bit off-topic, there still is a community with a working private server of SWG. But to get in you have to own a valid and original version of SWG. That may be the reason EA doesn't shut it down for good.

for me most relaxing gameplay loop was just using my trade wagon with my 4 horsies to to some trade between the cities.
Always a nice feeling entering the cities at different times of the virtual day.

I'd still do that to this day if not for my "conserve my graphics card until I have enough money for a possible replacement" policy.

Another idea for a possible gameplay loop. Just transporting either documents or trade goods between towns with own trade wagons on a commission or job-like basis. May be on either reputation basis or just randomly generated. I like some progression, still. ^^
