Yes we had a dev time frame of much less than 3 years 6 months ago, it was revised a month ago by the same dev to less than 2 years 7 months. Last week he said after 1992 which is true, and less useful ChapaaChuckle But, we do have a closed alpha approaching in the first half of next year, so if you haven't signed up for your chance to get in game earlier than release, you might want to 🙂

Hello! Pre-alpha testing just completed. Alpha testing is expected to occur in 2022 (wow, it's almost the new year!).

In June, the approx timeline for release was "less than three 3 years" according to the devs, so we guesstimate release will be in about 2.5 years. You're welcome to enjoy the wait with us!

Just bare in mind that the number of people getting to be invited is likely not nearly as many as the number of people interested. As a guide line Pre Alpha was 1.5k people invited out of approximately 80k people. Amelia has said that Alpha will be more people than pre-alpha but still a moderate amount and we currently have over 110k people interested. So cross your fingers etc , good luck to everyone playing the Palia testing lottery 🙂 🤞

The "neighborhood" concept functioning the same as "Guilds"/player groups is something I think sounds cool since it implies your houses/areas would be next to each other and you can maybe go to each others little farmsteads and give boosts to people plants and stuff.

I wonder if the solo element of the game can be played offline? 🤔
Like, you have your multiplayer aspect and the game can be played solo, but I wonder if that implies an offline capability as well. As in, you can play with the internet turned off, and when you log back in the save data from that time will upload into the game and your lands/farm/etc will update to match.
If it doesn't it won't be a serious blow since thats something most mmos dont do, but since this game is so brand new I know very little about how it'll function.

Without treading too far into #🎮│other-games , Elder Scrolls Online supposedly has a pretty involved cooking system. As for fantasizing about systems you might want in Palia, this is kinda the prime time to do it since things aren't finalized.

It is a good idea not to overhype yourself though. Always keep in mind that the reality of the game could be different, and allow yourself to enjoy what you can of it rather than settling for disappointment.

The thing is, we don't really know what the game's supposed to be about, only vague ideas and descriptions, really. So, any suggestions that are made sort of appear out of thin air, based mostly on personal preference. It's fine when you're the one making the game, but when you're not involved, it might mess up the vision for the game if it were to be implemented. When the actual core of the game becomes more clear, then the real, implementable suggestions would begin to appear. Just my opinion, of course 😄

Being that they are veteran devs from big game developer companies I am sure they will have considered all these type of issues and have plans to resolve them. Such as this statement regarding transfer of items EinarHugBestHug — 06/03/2021 I feel like we have a pretty unique approach to how we want to handle the transfer of items between players but it's in early stages so we're not quite ready to talk about it. 😄 When I read that the first time my immediate thought was that we would physically pass a box / crate etc to the other player rather than click a few buttons and tada. Then when I noticed the general store it made me think of another way they could have items transfer between players. And it could be a good way to keep the prices within a range they can control. What if .. and some of you already know this idea .. what if, you sold your items to Zeki and he accepted a price within a range .. and then the items gets added to the store for someone to buy and they'll be able to buy the item at a similar price range, probably with a mark up price for Zeki ChapaaChuckle To help with his underground business ChapaaChuckle

It will all depend on how they develop the game .. is there a currency? We don't know. Can we transfer items ? Yes, they have said that players can transfer items. Can we buy and sell items ? So far we only know we buy stuff from the general store such as seeds and grown food. Whether that is player grown food or NPC grown food is not specified 🙂

Will palia have full loot pvp or full loot pvp zones or does it have pvp at all, as a fan of mmo rpg games i would love to see pvp at palia and i would love to see full loot pvp zones even more. meaning if you die all your loot that you carry with you will be dropped to ground for other people to loot. that would make the game more interesting in my opinion and it would give some feelings towards the game itself, i mean will it really be funny to play in safe zones 24/7 where you just farm farm and farm everyday. also these "full loot pvp zones" could have some rewarding system, high risk = high reward.

Where Palia is an mmo community simulation game with some elements from adventure games there isn't the normal rpg elements you've seen in other games. No armor, no death, no health bar. Currently no traditional combat or combat pvp ( if they do add it later on it will be on an opt in basis ) . There are dungeon like adventures you can do alone and harder ones that groups can do in a comfy kind of way.

Palia dev team should really take a look on game called "Albion Online" its game looking like league of legends but it has so much cool ideas inside it, like dungeons and stuff and that game also has pvp and full loot pvp zones.

And yes, after the initial introductory quests to get your tools etc you can do what you want .. whether that be following the main story line, working on the npc friendship and romance story lines or just skilling up or just sitting and chatting with your friends

i also watched an youtube video about the game and it said that palia does not have strong pay to win thing and thats good in my opinion, my proposal is that palia would have something like "palia premium" which would give player some effects like 2x xp and more recourses per node, "palia premium" would cost inside game money, i dont know if palia has that but i mean that you have 2 options. buy inside game money from irl money or grind the game and buy it with the money you earned trough playing.

Honestly I like the idea of no player killing in the game, long and long have i been looking for n mmo where you don't require to kill mobs neither players, and can sit back relax just fram fish woodcut build your house etc, and that in a multiplayer setting, It sounds peacefull to me and I fully endorse that

scontrary to palia, there is a story, and skilling system,

as goes to the pvp, I fully understand that people would love a pvp system,, but what I hate about games with pvp systes is that you most likely get rewards that are not obtainable other than pvp in games
I don't mind a fish competish where someone has to fish the largest maybe heavier fish, just for the sake of fun, and a little friendly competish, but to go hardcore mode try hard mode in order to be the most competitive player in the Leaderboards, is a little bit of a stretch for a relaxing game
