No, I'm serious. Perhaps a dragon can convert a portion of it's food to hydrogen. It's buoyant, which helps it to fly, and if needed it can ignite it in a breath weapon.

If it's not combat it could be survival is what I'm saying

Like someone is good at chopping wood and someone else is better at hunting

But someone that chops wood good isnt a good hunter and depends on the hunter

Yes things like that are fine but there is no sense of danger in the game of the type you are envisioning - largely devoid of physical social and emotional threats

Anyone playing this game can simply sit at the side of the lake doing nothing if they want :). Or you can fish, hunt, grow, cook etc or socialise as little or as much as you want.

What if there are synergies, like increasing you skill in forging, grants a bonus to other skills that use fire, like cooking and ceramics. Like they all have an aspect that is based off of you ability to control fire, so increasing your skill in any of those 3 helps with the fire portion of the others.
