Everyone I have spoken to who was a pre-alpha tester is very excited about the future development of Palia, and doesn't want to hurt future development of the game by leaking any sort of information. This community is very wholesome, and for the most part everyone is very respectful of testers and do not try to pry information out of them, either.
If someone signed up to be a tester specifically to share info with outside sources, and then broke the NDA they signed, it could not only ruin their experience for this game, but possibly other testing opportunities in the future for other games - a lot of devs know each other and it wouldn't surprise me if there was a "blacklist" so to speak of people who are known to leak info and to not let into private tests

It could be like in Entropia Universe (Heavily pay to win, do NOT recommend). Crafting you need sufficient skill. Plus you need blueprints. Blueprints start out at quality rating 0 and go up slowly as you craft. There's also a crafting slider for condition (more successes, less profit) or quality (so I heard you like failing 100 times before you succeed. But as a reward for succeeding, here's a butt load of materials and profit). The more you improve the quality rating of the blueprint, the higher chance of success.

Pixel Worlds has fishing. There's a limited amount of fish, a limited amount of different lures, only a handful of rods, fishing gear... and you go to player created worlds to fish. different water types and depth affect the fish you can catch. It's the closest I've come to finding a chill fishing thing in a game. But the devs don't listen to the playerbase and keep pushing dumb updates no one cares about instead of improving what needs improving and creating useful updates. So I got bored.

Only if the imported goods don't include armor/weapons/clothing/gear. Want to keep that as community crafted only. However resources from way off in the map, like say elderberries or something could be bought. Then you deconstruct them for the possibility to get seeds and plant your own so now there's a local source.
