hi Gamer . There won't be too much if any combat in Palia, and if there is it won't be an important factor in the game. There is a day and night cycle if I remember right ( that info is from a news site ( https://www.mmorpg.com/previews/singularity-6-reveals-trailer-for-upcoming-community-driven-mmo-palia-2000122165 ) and seasons are there but no details on what they are and how they may affect game play and the world. Mounts if not there on day 1 are on the list for later addition. We're not ready to talk about seasons at this time, but we will definitely have a dynamic weather system that will impact a wide variety of the gameplay content in the game. In response to mounts question [S6] BuscoBear — 06/03/2021 We see these categories as "Fast Travel" and "Pets". Both are in the roadmap in some form

Half the fun of playing games is anticipating them, there is however a major risk that you need to be aware of, the developers may not be making the game you want, if you follow a game closely for extended periods of time you may read into many things and be very disappointed when it releases though the game is actually really good (Cyberpunk as an example).

Palia has me really excited, but until I get my hands on it myself, I'm trying to keep my excitement in check, especially if we're ~2-3y out from release, many things can change in that time 😄

npc relationships are grown via a set of quests .. there is a quest line to build your friendship and for those that are romancible you can work along a romance building quest line. 8. Instead of a 'romance' option for NPC's--could we get a 'friend' path--you know, for those of us who aren't into the whole polyamory thing, or who want a deeper relationship with a character but don't want to have to 'marry' them in order to achieve it? I'm thinking like Persona 4 -- the romance options there could also end in a friendship option instead, but you still got a very similar story arc. Hi Argentrose, Absolutely! In fact, the “main” story arc for each NPC is unlocked through the friendship system. The romance is intended to be a separate arc that players can engage with completely optionally. Completing the romance portion of the story adds flavor and specificity to your relationship with the NPC but it will NOT affect your ability to complete their story arc. While we do want the romance to feel meaningful and satisfying, we don’t believe that close relationships need to be romantic in order to be meaningful. And neither do the citizens of Palia!
