I have read the paliablog and a new wave of enthusiasm awoke inside me. When I didn't get to pre-alpha, I started playing the mobile game that I still play. So I didn't have time to chat here. (I'm a gamer for all my head 😅 ) But I still watch all the announcements (and vote in villager-vote). So I am looking forward to further development of the game. And I am very glad that now, in the mids of growing anger, there are people who are trying to make the world around us kinder and more comfortable. I understand that rivalry is an inherent part of our biology. And many games use this. But feeding it leads to increased aggression. (In the next room, my husband is cursing while playing the HotS 😁 ) Therefore, I am glad that Palia should be peaceful and cozy. Do your best! (Thank you thx , I just wanted to speak out. In germany we have Hexenbrennen. It's not on the same date as halloween or Dia de los Muertos. It's at the end of april We light a huge bonfire, gather around to laugh and dance. It's meant to scare of the mean spirits of winter, so a quick spring and summer may come so the crops can grow. I like that holiday a lot as well

And since it's not that well known it's really all about coming together, celebrate the winter's end and hope for a good year

Based on what I've seen...now that Pre-Alpha is over it will be a while until a large-scale test (probably Alpha) is going to occur. However, in the middle they will be running small scale tests to test individual mechanics. Make sure to sign-up on the website for a chance to be included in a small-scale test, and eventually, the Alpha testing! 😄

Way back in the day in swg it was never an issue, they had a mechanic that when you started your city the server auto locked land around you for a certain distance out that only members of your city could build in. It's a relativity easy problem to solve if you want to solve it

it depends on how procedurally generated it is .. if they are limiting to a set planet size then it won't expand unless they change the planet size .. however, if they go for the neverending procedurally generated world ,, it won't be planet like ( walk x million miles in one direction and arrive at your original location ) but will allow unlimited space up to the number range limit and scaling system they are using.

Hello my name is Wippit and I'm a non-alpha spouse. It has been 2 days since pre-alpha ended and my wife came back. We may have had a teeeeensy little setback since our initial reunion.

It seems Passion has started playing Stardew Valley with the people who were in her Palia neighborhood. Part of me understands: she made connections in pre-alpha and she's trying to keep those new relationships. But, perhaps strangely for someone hoping to play Palia, I don't play Stardrew Valley. I think it's the reminiscient-of-the-80s graphics. I long outgrew my Commodore 64.

So, ironically, we're once again playing separate games. I'm hoping tomorrow brings some progress, since I get a day off, and perhaps we could find a common game to play. If such a game that isn't Palia exists. I mean, she's no World of Tanks or Path of Exile player.

... I supposed there's always Minecraft. Be nice if the Millenaire mod was updated to 1.16 more quickly, though.

There were only 1400 spots in the pre-alpha so most of the server didn't get into it, so you are not alone 🙂 They did say there will be more tests with more people so, hopefully after they have time to apply any necessary changes and additional changes to progress the game development some ( hopefully many ) of us will get to see the next version of the game for a short while.

One favourite is that their control of (magic) power went to their heads or overpowered them .. they either killed themselves .. or it killed them accidentally. Or somehow teleported them elsewhere .. or something similar

It's going to be someone that you get close with to really have that twist... otherwise they can just put any evil being underneath some type of mountain... I think that Einar would be the one that I would write that was involved as he is incredibly old so it makes the most sense

I have found a document that mention that there will be some form of books, the document was made with answers from a Q&A! Not sure how reliable that is though 😦 thats nice to know aswell, Im glad it will be done in a way that the players will have impact on the story as it updates rather than just one predetermined narrative
