Hello my delicious Palian Friends. I was wondering what is hyping you about Palia or what appeals to you more than what the current mmorpg’s or soon to be released actually offers ?

cozy, the art style is gorgeous, and like sir berry i love that the focus of the whole game isn't combat. seems like a lot of mmos are heavily combat based

I’m also very enthusiast about a different approach on mmorpgs, I’m fond of housing. But I can’t help but wonder what will the [DEV] find as a guideline to keep people playing and going further into the game.
I know all is not about endgame, and the journey toward the end of the path holds more intensity and meaning than the goal in itself. But community based game in my experience tend to die slowly if not motivated by something of interest

I mean farming simulator has you going for days and weeks on end, if that was an mmo I'd play it. Stardew keeps you occupied as well, mmos in my eyes have just sadly become all about endgame grind for min maxing gear, when they really don't need to be. If this game is just sims multiplayer I'll be happy

Basically what I'm saying, there's so many ways they can keep you playing, I'm sure they've thought of several. They have expressed having a plan long term as well already, so that's reassuring

I also enjoy house/farm/character/etc customizations in games! And yep dev team seems to have a plan in place to grow with players long term, expanding the game etc as time goes on

not sure what exactly they have planned, but they are definitely thinking about that issue

I enjoy a good grind, I played WoW semi competitively for 14 years, but the mmo scene is so uniform in that: "endgame or not worth it"

So my hope is that no matter how long you play, majority of things you do won't become obsolete

One of the biggest things that puts me off in MMOs is the constant urgency to race to endgame. I want to take my time. I want to explore and see all of the hard work the devs put in. I want to appreciate the world that's been created. And because of it I never join guilds and I rarely group. Because I am a couple of odd work shifts away from falling behind all of the people I play with. Because I don't want someone to rush me through missions for the sake of achieving some number that will catch me up to everyone else. And because rushing through everything just makes high level noobs. It sours the relationships we could gain with the game and each other for the sake of trying to reach the end of a story that never ends.

Because the game as a whole doesn't put importance in getting to the end to do some special stuff .. instead, play at your own pace .. someone wants to get to the higher end products on their first day and make lots of money .. good for them .., someone wants to take their time and sit around and chat with friends then thats good too 🙂 nothing wrong with playing in either scenario

Now .. if grabbing lots or all of the skills will be challenging to keep up ... does that mean not using the skills mean you lose some of the skill ? While you are playing that is .. so those that stop playing for 6 months aren't penalised but if you picked 10 ( assuming there are that many ) skills but only did 1 of them on a weekly ( or some other time frame ) basis .. would you slowly lose some of the skill levels gained on the others ?

And I'm posting this early today because it's been TWO FREAKING MONTHS since pre-alpha took my wife, and I wanted to post that in ALL CAPs, you know, just in case something might, could, would happen... 60 days, people. There are prison sentences shorter than that.

I have, however, discovered the most annoying part of this whole pre-alpha absense I'm being subjected to. It's when Passion connects to Discord via voice, and someone asks her a question and she answers, "Um, NDA." and then I sigh, put on my headphones, and turn up the volume on some music. So she can talk to her whatever-they-are. Neighbors, I guess. Unless there are people who aren't in her neighborhood, anyways it doesn't matter. She socializes, and plays the game, and laughs, and I just smoulder listening to minimal techno at full volume. Annoying.

And I have no idea how a shirtless Reth posing with a Santa hat is my fault. I certainly wasn't talking about young shirtless cooks working in hot kitchens all day, in the heat and the steam.

So, advice for interesting dreams-
Hydrate well (but not toooo well)
Don’t eat or drink anything besides water within 2 hours of sleep
Think about things till you fall asleep (but not stress)
And most important!
When you wake up, keep your eyes closed. Don’t look at your phone or lights if you can help it. Think about your dream, hold onto it. This trains your brain to focus on dreaming, making them happen more often and more vividly.
Probably not any advice you couldn’t find online but nowadays I write down all the dreams I can. Some would make great books~

So... This year I got bed bugs, window in the flat I was renting started to leak, someone's cat shitted on our doormat, my ex broke my heart again, sink in the bathroom started to leak too... What else, hm...

It's also weird. People around me start to drop things accidentally, and almost always in a way that I can catch the object.
Last time some old lady didn't pay enough attention to her shopping cart and it almost hit a nice, black BMW, full speed. I catched it of course
