In that video, the girl reads out a few answers from Vlad as she said he was credible (and yknow he obviously is to an extent). And he mentions that elves are the next race getting added. But people misunderstood this.

what he meant by that (as far as I've gathered from additional context messages) was that elves were literally the next race in the world itself that would appear. Like as npcs and whatnot.

'Guilds will also be present but are known as Neighborhoods. I did ask if the equivalent of guildhalls would be part of Neighborhoods? They said that there are so many features for the neighborhood system, and it would need a separate presentation session. Though one feature most requested by players is cooperative builds.' and this one .. 'With a day/night cycle and dynamic weather system that will impact gameplay. While the initial world will be a smaller game space, the team plans to expand it over time so players will have more to explore as the story unfolds. ' And ... 'The team plans to continually expand on the cast of characters over time as the story progresses.'

Minigames are something that are often hit, and miss. Sometimes they work great to add to a game... and other times they get frustrating. That's a very difficult balance to achieve.

I've seen games where mini games make the game just impossible to play through without getting frustrated. On the other hand, I've seen them where they really enhance the game itself.

I know an easy fix to this, make only the good minigames that enhance the experience

I like mini-games that award stuff that can also be gotten elsewhere, so they're an alternative rather than a necessity.

Like do they just.. get a invoice like: Just make some bad looking level 7 shoulderpads? Or what decision goes into implementing an escort npc, that walks so slow, and it's non skippable, and they stop if you walk farther away than 5 steps, which makes you consider if watching drying paint would be more fun

I can't speak for the escort quests, but when it comes to armors, typically the developers will tell the 3d designers a general idea they want, and present them with 2d art that should suggest how things work, and then leave it up to the 3d designers to create it.

The thing about this is that these aren't decisions made to purposefully reduce QoL. Either someone on staff thinks the armor looks good or three teams are working on the escort mission and not communicating amongst themselves. No one sets out to make a bad experience.

Well, all I can say is that S6 seems to be a very closeknit company, so there should be a minimum of botched implementations.

Honestly, the only time we ever saw anything feedback wise, with some of the companies I've worked for, was "This armor is clipping through the model here."

The rest of the stuff, far as I could tell, was generally ignored. Sad as it is to admit that.

Though, as a side note, one former employer has gotten in a bit of hot water recently due to the actions of, ironically enough, a player.

what did the player do and what happened with the dev?

I used to work for the company that released "War Thunder". So, recently they included the more modern Challenger 2 tank for the British lines. One player noticed that it wasn't built perfectly to spec of the real thing. The player knowing this because he was (past tense being important now) a British Tank commander of that particular tank. So, to prove their model makers wrong, he sent a bunch of documentation over to them. Classified documentation. The Ministry of Defence is investigating the guy for breach of the Official Secrets act. They've also seized the documents from the developer. The irony is, one of the devs looked at it and went "We... we shouldn't have this" and contacted the MOD.

Big oof moment that.
