I know for me i like in game holiday fireworks bc its the only way i can experience it and enjoy it. I can't say I'm a linguist in any terms but from my experience with borrowed English words in languages it's all the modern ones. The best guess for this is Globalization and the domination of English worldwide. There's plenty of native classical words but the modern ones weren't given a chance to develop compared to their English cousins. Borrowed words in Japanese might be the best example of globalization accelerating borrowed words purely because they're represented in Katakana versus kanji and hiragana

yeah, if content feels like a timer it really just loses a lot of appeal to me. I am fine with time gating progress to a degree (IE 1 day crafting times to make you come back tomorrow) since it keeps me from blowing through things too fast, but something that just makes me wait to progress is just infuriating (IE waiting on a node to respawn)

I just like immersing myself into the worlds I think. Some weird magical guild chat always feels like not being part of the world. Ragnarok had a guild chat I think, but i far more enjoyed going to whichever spot my guild had for hanging out and chatting there haha
