honestly the idea some of you guys are spreading that there is even "qualified" and "unqualified" testers is a bad take. they want opinions of casual players who don't know the ins and outs of every game detail, who aren't experienced testers, because the opinions players gather at face value is actually really important. they also want people to test who aren't typical social game players too to know if they can reach that demographic.

Keep in mind that this is just pre-alpha, the people that do get to test won't be playing on a version that is remotely close to release.
There's absolutely no reason to just do a 180° of your hype just cause you don't get to play in the pre-alpha (mind you, the devs really didn't think it would blow up this much. Only 1400 pre-alpha keys).
Testing phases are for testing first, fun second.

And unless the devs have changed it, which I doubt, the pre-alpha is under NDA, which means that anyone who doesn't partake in the pre-alpha won't see pre-alpha footage.

I literally have nothing to do all day (because I'm recently disabled..I didn't just quit my job fyi) I love games...have a gaming pc. I'm intelligent so I can relay issues and bugs and my dad taught me a bit of computer programming, I have a long attention span and could test this game for hours for free and I literally didn't get picked. I could have tested this game and given feedback for hours and hours on end and I didn't get picked. I congratulate the ppl who got in and I hope you guys do what I wished to do...and don't take this for granted. 😭

Just wanna point out for those that are upset about not getting picked, keep in mind there's 84,600 members in this server. It's highly unlikely that the dev team is picking each individual alpha tester. They probably have certain things they're looking for in the answers you gave to the questionnaire and then I'd imagine they're using some sort of random number generator to pick from that shorter list. You aren't owed anything because you've been here longer than someone else. Take a deep breath and relax, there will be more testing waves and sooner or later you'll be able to play the full game. Think of Einar. He is your rock.
