IT'S A PRE-ALPHA! It will be buggy and barebones, it will NOT be a fun experience if you don't have the testing mindset!
More tests will come in the future. The devs underestimated the amount of hype the game would attract, which is why there's only 1400 pre-alpha spots. And when the game releases, YOU'LL BE ABLE TO PLAY IT!

Don't hold a personal vendetta against the testers, they didn't choose to get chosen. If you're still mad, you have a problem and need to ask yourself some questions.

It can be quite the time commitment, and testers will most likely be expected to bug hunt and playtest certain things (sometimes repetitively) as the devs ask for it, rather than it just being a free-for-all early-access situation. Nitro had absolutely NOTHING to do with selection. It was purely down to the types of people they wanted to have involved and those who would actively help the game improve. The pre-alpha is largely for testing purposes, keep in mind. None of us expect a finished game, and shouldn't do so. I'm very excited to be in the pre-alpha and to those who didnt get in, don't feel bad. It came down to luck largely.

You can't see the full list of all 1400 testers. Do you really think the developers care about that? Server boosting is nothing. It's worthless. NDA = you cannot talk or stream or any thing about the game and its processes other then to other testers and dev team. in the applications they were looking for people who can help smash out bugs and come up with ideas to help flesh out game mechanics they wanted to see what games you were familiar with it has nothing to do with being a nitro booster. IF you are selected its a huge responsibility if not maybe you'll be selected in the next round where they think you might be able to help given your experiences.

Selection process: You had to fill out both surveys. The only factor that could net you a better chance of getting a key is your response on the second one, as it was used to filter applications. This means that participation in Discord, boosting the server or anything along those lines have no influence on the end result.

NDA: An NDA is a contract the people who got to be testers will have to sign that prohibits them from sharing certain aspects regarding Palia. Without knowing the specifics, they will not be able to stream or share any type of gameplay, talk about the story etc. They won't be able to talk about anything that isn't public already.

NDA is a notarized contract. If you break it you are breaking the law basically..so don't ask the testers to reveal info. They are under contract and breaking it will be very bad for them legally and for the game too

Just to clarify, minors CAN sign contracts. However they are protected if they decide to break said contract because in the eyes of the law they are unable to understand the implications of a contract. They are also able to back out at any time without any backlash.

It’s not boosters that are being chosen at a suprising rate it’s more people who were active in the chat and I have to admit it is a little interesting how many of those were chosen but it’s probbaly more to do with activity and enthusiasm being shown. If I was testing a game and I see that people who applied to test my game was also being active in the community and sharing feedback already they’d probably be my choice also. There’s also regulars that don’t have tester however.

When scrolling down through the member list, the first set of people available for testing you see are server boosters, so youll know if they have the role first. Theres also the fact that a booster is more likely to have filled out both surveys, and done so in a manner more likely to get them in

Why did you start talking about US law then? Also the agreement is nowhere in the law, the law only makes framework for such cases. Minors in the US can forego agreement in the us, however a little bit limited. So you're wrong in that case too.
