Yeah, my issue was with the voxel design. Bit of a nature lover, so need a good world design that's nicer to look at.

I'm totally okay with Voxel games, just so long as they're blocky enough. If voxels get small enough that each block is a single pixel/color, it gets... hard for me to make out details.

Source, I've played Minecraft for over a decade with no real sign of stopping/quitting

I've played Minecraft on and off since before it released. I love the modding scene for it.

yeah, it's carried by mods but its reach I think was created by its unique timing

Minecraft appears to be a great way to get kids into scripting/coding though. Both my kids was major into minecraft and eventually started looking up ways create changes to their game

I play largely vanilla, mods don't have anything to do with my playing of it other than keeping me active when I'm burnt out

It's a game that allows you to be so incredibly creative without restriction that not really anything else can match it for how easily it's able to do so

Minecraft allows the player to do whatever they please hence why there is numerous servers that allow different types of play styles so the person chooses, whether it'd be strictly pvp. strictly pve, pvpve, free roam, building etc. you name it and it probably exist

I'm a big fan of sandbox games, I have over 500 hours of just building on Ark, but I'm also a huge completionist and I love games like World of Warcraft where you can just collect collect collect, I think about little niche things like maybe Palia will have a garden system where you can breed plants/vegetables/fruits and produce rare dyes for when you decorate your house, and collecting pets out in the world! I love the challenge of a grind, and I hope they don't go too casual

That's neat! They have a similar thing on Runescape 3, it's a little orb that explodes every 10 minutes and give's a passive xp boost to everyone around them, and people have certain worlds/locations where they craft/herb so they can grab the xp boost
