Here is the idea word for word of what I submitted: "It would be helpful to have a book/log of sorts that tells you the locations as well as the time of day where creatures/materials can be found at. Similar to how there's tabs leading to different things, it could be an icon or tab that you go to, to help you find what you're looking for. The book/log could either unlock each discovery as you come across it with maybe some lore on it, or simply only tell you the location and time of day to find it."

Alright so I've done the daily flower patch event a fair few times now (the one at noon in Kilima, not the elderwood event.) Is anyone else a bit dissapointed by the sheer amount of sundrop flowers that drop in comparison to everything else or have I just been getting insanely terrible rng?

There’s no pity system so it’s just suffer till either you give up and not complete something or keep trying and that could take days. The game used to decent with rng but now it’s “would you like more rng with your rng?”

I think the biggest thing is there's no way to opt out of the rng. Which is at odds with the cooperative spirit of the game that we're supposedly being provided. Imo if the game were truly about cooperation every single item would be immediately requestable, because it shouldn't matter why someone is requesting it. But having to collect the item once first before you can ask for it makes it a moot point.

In a similar vein I still have gripes w the fact I can't fill people's requests for crops, because i'm at the farming lvl where I exclusively get starred, and you can't fill regular requests w starred crops.

if you meant for quests (sry late reply) any purple flag is a “main quest” and the other ones are “discovery” iirc. there is no rush to do any of the quests but if you want to get certain materials/a let (tho that’s bugged atm) you need to be caught up on the current main questline

the shepp quest is also a main quest but you don’t have to do that one at all (or take as long as you want) as it doesn’t effect the other main questline

The in game description of Whitestone (which the statues appear to be made of)- An extremely hard and durable stone. The Ancient Humans reinforced it with Flow and used it most of their construction.

So one could reasonably assume that the headless statues were Ancient Human depictions.

We all understand and know this is business, specially considering its F2P (which isn't charity) but truth of the matter is, if they don't treat their customers better, then they won't make money.

Not to mention the fact that the prices are not very accessible in many counties outside NA/EU due to the exchange rates and purchasing power disparity.

As customers who are investing time and some money into it, we are allowed to leave feedback/criticism. And while there's been some improvements, it's also hard for many to regain the lost trust or burnout in the game.

With regards to feedback, we certainly do listen. I forward feedback from various sources (this Discord, Reddit, Forms, etc) on a daily basis.

Some feedback doesn’t lead to immediate changes, but it is still important and is heard. Bringing older or ongoing concerns back to light can be especially appreciated, particularly if it predates my time joining S6.

VFX toggle. A way to turn off visual effects in general (not just outfits, but things like fireworks, other flashes, etc). And yes, the flashes when you hit trees, bugs, etc.

A way to do Temple of Gales (and I know other temples, but this is usually the main one)-- whether it's a skip, some alternate way to progress with it, something. Me, along with others, can't access the rest of the main story due to this. I have little to no reason to play the game, or go to Elderwood, because of it-- since i cant even do anything with essence since it's locked via Main Story.

Issue we've been seeing are newbies getting access to it and it's delaying a lot of the beginning quests since Naio and Auni are location locked to those quests.

Which is causing a lot of frustration and confusion as they dont show up on the map, their locations vary, and you have to reach a certain point to ask about other quests or get the dialogue.

Some people have mobility issues-- so they struggle with gliding, climbing, etc with it. I know some folks have also gotten motion sick.

For me it's a bit different, and is just me struggling with heights. So I know my issue is a bit more niche.

I know vega mentioend in the past they were wanting to work on a skip or alternative way to progress Temple of Gales, though. I just hope it's up there in priority, since it's locking some ppl with main story.

The platforming in Palia in general is a bit rough imo. Gales is very much harder with so many of the jumps requiring a bit of timing, specially the wind gusts. It took me a few falls ro figure out how to catch it.

Adding to it, a jumping line/landing indicator would help a lot with this. Similar to the one in Nikki that can be toggled to be a mark or a shadow.

I honestly think a lot of quests should be locked behind other quests because the game throws way too much stuff at you all at once. I started over on an alt once and gave up because it was overwhelming. I don't think I'd play at all if I hadn't been here since day one.

But I know others also genuinely have mobility issues, and can struggle to hold down a mouse button, or just being able to platform or do specific tasks as a whole for one reason or another. I can't speak for everybody, of course, though. And again, some people also just get motion sick because of all the wind gusts and stuff, too.

For me, I just don't like being high up like that, or feeling huge empty spaces of being in the sky bc of heights. (it's also why the temple of gales plot skin i avoid, because it's.. a lot for me.)

Since last year when the team initially made the announcement that a "trade" system would come in. Then released a system that only limited it to Plush type items. [Which I should add was a bit of a bait & switch for anyone like myself]

We have sent in feedback messages about how we would very much like the trade system be expanded to all decor items. And at least in my feedback forms, I've listed the reasons for how this would be a positive change for the community as a whole.

Yet it is near a year later & those feedback forms have gone unanswered.

The S6 team has now created 2 separate Trading systems.

1 for Stickers & 1 for Artifacts. Yet there's been no mention of an expansion of the trade system to even be on the team's radar.

So it's a bit hard to believe that our feedback is being listened to...

So, I've got the purple medallion for essence farming and I'm running around trying to get to 2500 for a purple stone to upgrade it to red(last one). And it's a griiiind, I've quit many times. Ranging from 1 to 20 something essence depending on the source. And I need several thousands for all the shop items later. Does the red medallion drastically increase the drop or is it like 50 essence if your lucky... And some stuff cost 10-30k, that's insane.

Infected Essence can be obtained by hunting, fishing, foraging, and bug catching in Elderwood after completing part 4 of the quest: The Nature of Shadows.

Tips for Collecting Essence

• Upgrade your Relics to Tier IV as soon as possible!
• Party up! When in a party, Relic buffs are shared with other party members even if they do not have that Relic equipped. It is suggested that party members each equip different Relics in order to combine multiple effects.
• Drop a Honey Lure and catch as many infected critters as you can (ideally in a party). A4 on the map grid is reported to be a great spot for lures!

The easiest way to maximize essence gathering is to stack relics in a party. Relics being at Tier 4 is the best. You need 1 bag of illusions, 1 guiding lantern, and 1 brighteye amulet. In a party, every member benefits from all the relics each person has.

When you stack the relics like this, for example -- 1 infected beetle caught with no relics is about 13 essence, but with relic stacking, that same beetle is about 30 essence (or just around there). The relic system really brings in the multiplayer/coop aspect to the Elderwood 🙂

Yeah, it is tougher to do solo, but doable. You can either use the Brighteye amulet or bag of Illusions, depending on if you'd rather not use Tamala's potions, and start chopping down trees in a small area to "force spawn" infected trees.

It's still gonna be a grind but it's one of the easier ways, at least for me.

It'll depend on how often you play, flirt with him, and if you gift him the romance gifts.

There's quests at each level too and part of it is gifting him a pin you craft- which depending on what you choose and have in your inventory can also impact how long it takes you.

I really love them overhauling the underpinning of the game to allow for growth

• i think something else i'm forgetting a few patches ago
• first iteration of animal husbandry - multiplayer coming later
• first iteration of housing lines - expect for it to evolve

I do like the idea of having a Player Profile, and having more earnables in the future.

I did skim the video, so not sure if I missed it, but i was hoping to hear more about accessibility imrpovements they were looking at. Will probably look at the vid more later on, either way. But it was nice to see they were wanting to work on additional accessibility improvements, at least, under the "looking ahead" section.

But yeah, def overall seems like a promising patch and promising to see what's being worked on.

• time limited in game items being available the same way or with more limited currency earned via game play a few months later

Correct! Currently hair and makeup and with being able to do color changes they stated they added 1000 colors.

Then later on we'll be getting earnable outfit and makeup pieces and they'll be expanding colors.

I’m not going to lie, I’ve had major fatigue with the game in the past two months. With content spanning just a little over a day or two for me before getting burnt out. I’ve been trying to grind hard for my little community and this is absolutely promising and since Lacie’s inauguration: Things have been getting better slowly and I couldn’t be more grateful for the direction the studio is headed. If this is how much we’ve grown from one year ago, imagine what this game will look like in one year.

Nikki housing had so much potential, it allows SO much customization in your landscaping and house layout, being able to build a house from scratch, and my first thought was "oh they are eating Palia for breakfast in this category" and then I saw all the timegating and materials needed and how hard it was to place things and how janky it was and was like "nope, heck this"
