Yes, most players would consider that a "rude" action. Asking first is always best policy. Some players don't care, as well.

This isn't true though. If you aren't partied up, or have multiple groups and your group doesn't get a hit, you lose out on that loot. Some bugs go down with 1 hit and if the interloper who is not partied with your group took that down, your group doesn't get the loot. That's usually the main issue and why some players feel it is a "rude" action to join without asking.

agree, but usually most people aren’t hunting for the 1 hit bugs. also you can still have multiple people hitting one hit bugs together because of the cooldown

if anything just server hop and place a lure down in a quieter server, no place is owned by a specific party

Yes, as long as you get a hit in, you can usually get the loot for yourself/your group. Even the higher level bugs can go down with 1 hit depending on bug bomb and belt type though. It's just best policy to ask politely since these are other people's resources.

typing during a lure is time consuming in itself, most people can’t have full convos lol. personally i’m a fast typer so idc, but again it’s a public server and people are welcome to jump in wherever as long as there is no malicious intent. it is a multiplayer game with public servers after all. respectfully disagree. gate keeping is not swag

I don't think anyone is gatekeeping, the person simply asked if others would consider jumping in a lure without asking rude and the answer is yes, players do consider that rude. It's a topic that comes up often.

I was simply explaining why that could be seen as rude and the solution that is often discussed (asking before joining). I don't personally care what others choose to do or how they play in the game.

It’s the grove situation/lure all over again. Mining used to be controlled but they fixed that. Maybe it’s time to look at how bugs is collected as a whole. Chopping trees was made easier by allowing us to have farms. Maybe it’s time to allow us to have bug farms on our plot.

Anyone else annoyed by the outfit color choices? Like if I pick green on one top, its different green than bottoms on other bottom. Its near impossible to mix and match, especially with founder's outfits. There's like 5 different greens, from bright green, normal green, dark green, etc.

my personal rule of thumb for the honey lures is if someone calls it out in chat or drops on at a flow grove, they are open to having people join in without asking. if there is no call, or you join a server and didn't see if there was a call, don't join

When I'm luring for the weekly tasks, I put down the lure near the home gate in Bahari (a high traffic place) to ensure someone joins.
When I'm luring for an epic bug, I don't call my lure out and put it in a place where not many players would go.

I my be wrong but I also think the original game was designed for individual players to work together as a community and not a game for party’s. As the game grew, and sold things changed and s6 made the decision to make this game for party’s. If some of the OG jumps in they may have came back after a long break. MOD game changed more to party’s going from a big community to individual communities which is okay. I understand it’s a personal resources but if it helps alot of players will gladly fill request. I am often invited but I don’t carry lures but in return will fill the request. Hopefully they will work out the kinks for party and non party players. I also thought before partying that any bug hit within the lore everyone got, but since the parties and plush its not. Again I could be wrong but I think that is why nobody cared if someone else just popped in. Switch users dnt use chat because it takes away playtime so for them with the ogs to the newer players especially the increased amount of parties I don’t or I hope they assume everything is okay to share and help because the lack of-the switch. I use switch so I relate, since xbox and ps5 the switch doesn’t handle the amount of chat,and affects the game so in order to play stream chat is off most times along with emotes and stickers. I will flare things, jump to acknowledge most times vs typing. Good luck and hopefully they introduce a new solution soon

I think it has more to do with the fact that the toxic positivity of the community and how everything must be to the benefit of the group kind of drove away the vast majority of the solo players.

I enjoy partying and grouping with friends, but I have no desire to waste hours of my time each day waiting on random people.

Another swipe at the home tour mess. A couple of months ago the Palia folks, perhaps reading some posts here, realized that the "1" key is the common default for speed-tourists. So I gather they decided their most "coveted" "Cozy" and "Love it" reactions would never more rotate to the "1" spot. That's great news for the other T4 nameplates, of course, but a real pain for those "coveted" ones. It's been that way now for three months or more. Whether this is just a way to keep people in the game trying to earn the nameplates, or for some other reason, I don't expect it to change soon.

I like grinding for things and resources in games but for some reason there's a shift when it comes to the current Maji market :c I think the spawns for chapaas got reverted to the old one too. The market spawns are messed up. Chapaas got reverted back and aren't spawning as many. Even balloons I found are lower. Used to do 900 to 1000 per balloon pop, last few have been 500 or less Just not as many blue balloons like before. Doesn't help we only have those two events late into the night cycle and they collide with the new EW event and grove times.

i wanna preface this by saying I love the game. The team seems like they care. But especially now that I'm heavily in the Elderwoods content, the game feels way too grindy, (I on average get way more iron from each node than i do Palium!) and a lot of the time I wonder if maybe they're focusing more on releasing new (expensive) premium content than listening to the genuine problems people have with bugs, overly-grindy sections, and accessibility. They're definitely better about it than a lot of other games, but a part of me is scared they're heading down that path.

i have seen it happen so many times and I have seen games die because of it, and I do not want that to happen to this game 😦

I absolutely adore this game and it became such a comfort to me when I just want to escape from things like work sometimes I stopped playing for a while due to work and college but came back a few months after the Elderwood patch too so the experience just kinda felt like a in-your-face-here-have-this yet I still see a lot of bugs that haven't been resolved with yet.

Ok, I have a dilemma that I need help with. I put a dessert bowl on top of an elderwood chair and it sunk into the chair. Flea market type area (When maji isn't on-going, or a little spot in kilima), where people can craft and create their own stalls, and being able to decorate them.

Can set up trades/goods there. Possibilities with that: Items having a set price (similar to Zeki's, however it'd be a bit higher to help compensate for players time), and/or have trades that were 1-to-1 (Rare <-> Rare, or Epic <-> Epic, for example)

NPCs could go over and have random dialogue, "Oooh! That's so cool. I might have to get this!" (for example). And decorating stalls could help give some self-expression to those who like that kind of thing. (Always loved the idea instead of the stickers, that we get, could be used as decals or decorative purpose for that. Some could even be diff patterns like floral or diff objects, and would love those on building blocks for the home plot too tbh.)

Just overall would help with accessibility, making it feel like there's more of a 'community' (imo), and just overall have different (and better for some) ways to get specific items.

The only problem with that is the player economy would crash, because there's lots of veteran players with tons of gold to spend and easy access to make anything. If Zekki sold something for 10gp, then players could undercut him and sell it for 1gp, etc.

Yeah auction house would make things dicey real fast. I play a browser sim Flight Rising and (aside from the auction area) items have set values so it would be reasonable for things to be sellable/tradable for a "game set" price and it would just come down to availability by the player.
Another option could be a whole other category of items that can be traded around instead of existing ones but unsure of how the RNG and general availability of original game items are per players. Since RNG is a fickle thing and it tends to hate some more than others.

When you submit a ticket, you should receive an automated response email that confirms your ticket was submitted. It also says you can reply to that email with any additional information. I always reply to that email even if I don't necessarily have additional info. I think that helps prevent it from being automatically "resolved" because I've always gotten a response when I've done that.

The RNG is very low to be honest.

You'd probably get 1 claw machine token out of that entire spend, if that. The random purchases don't pay out very much for the tokens. Some people get lucky, but most people do not. I've seen people share they've spent upwards of 16,000+ tickets and no tokens, when buying items not priced at 6k.

Some people may not vote in game (just reacting to receive the react back) or you can only vote once a week but people will continue to react to your posts throughout the week so for example 4 reactions on discord could be from the same person but you'd only get their 1 vote in-game. Yes, something like a timed event... and capture so many flags in under 30 sec, the flags spawn randomly in Deep Woods... The Devs cannot use God Mod! I say under 30 seconds because that is how long a Elderflower last before despawning after being picked. 25 secs for other things... You cannot fly from one tree to another in that time!

I am not a player that believes in watering down games, but that time is in need of an adjustment!

A event that shows them how difficult and completely impossible some things are... like getting to the flowers, mushrooms, taters, and other foragables in Elderwood. I have timed them from the time they are picked... ones I have seen pop in front of me and I knew when they got picked the very first time.
A lot of people cannot even climb to the highest part of the big Elderflower growth trees in the Woods in 29 secs.

Everytime Maji-Markts starts i hope they rework it a bit. Cause my Stamp Card is full and i cant get more tickets except from the games whish they could add more milestone. Exampale for Ballon shooting they could give you at every 500 more baloons some extra tickets and for every 1k a claw-token. They should increase the chapaa spawn rate or should decrease the ppl on the server cause its very hard nearly impossible to catch 25 chapaas in one round cause this goal was set back when we didnt got switch player and more chapaas would spawn.

They should change the price to get token to 5k cause i dont wanna buy my 100th maji gate cause thats the only way to get a save token. Cause with 5k i can buy the new maji plushie and maybe should increase the price of some other plushies so the chance to get a token. Cause i would love to get more plushies and not so many gates. They should program in a counter that at least after every 5k tickets you spend you get a save coin so if you buy some food or other stuff and couldnt get a token you would get atleast one if you spend 5k tickets combined.

I like that they add new stuff to the claw machine but its kinda a tourter if i need to play nearly 4 or 5 markets thats 4 or 5h to only get a chance for the new set.

Some other QoL things for the Maji Market woudl be if you could play HotPot for Tickets even during the day so you could get more things to get some tickets. I still dont understand why the only put it on Luna Market.

It's been reported a few times. Somethings you can try is leaving the server then syncing to one of them.

i have found the easiest way to get black pearls is to go on a nice schmole hunting spree and get a stack of 150+ elder clams, and then open them all at once. at least 1 or 2 will come out of that batch.

I was talking on Reddit about NPCs moving in and how they should do pre-decorated rooms like Stardew valley that we can buy their room and then add it to our house, - allowing the NPC to live there and interact with the furniture. Like… Their living quarters are so well furnished imagine being able to add a smaller version to our house 😭 and that way we don’t have to worry about the path finding issue with furniture etc, as that is usually the main problem is path finding through everything people put in their houses…
