Just ranting a bit as the Highland hunting for me personally leaves a bit to be desired even with the madks

Jaakcats - love the design, the little screams too but they are little too similar to chappas and should be a little faster given they don't burrow away, chasing them down is half the fun.

Royal Sernuk - Their recolour is not bad but that's the knly real positive. The drops are way too similar to their Bahari cousins and they require more arrows to kill, they should be given thier own special hide or antler to distinguish themselves alot more and I am also worried that they will not be given thier own Plushies at some point as I've seen some people get the regular drops.

I'm hoping to see some more creatures or changes coming in the next few months cause it does feel a little lacking at the moment.

That's funny actually, the azure chapaa has a higher drop rate than the regular ones due to it spawning so much less,
It might help to know that only 1 magic chapaa can spawn at any given time as far as I'm aware,

yeah its supposed to be 1% yes? compared to the others which is .1%, and ive become a pro at hunting them now, i catch them pretty much immediately when they spawn so im getting the most use of the hunting horn as i can. they typically spawn like 1 min after one goes down, and yes 1 at a time. Idk, ive killed over a hundred easy at this point but still nothing ;w;

starred RTB is a hard find, you will have the best luck throwing lures right at 3am in pulsewater plains. it can take many attempts. Theyre fast and spook easily.

the best place to hunt cats is at enfield manor, at the royal hunting grounds. but note that if you're also going for the star masks there is only the fire ones there and some others outside the manor. so if you're purely going for the plushies/level up then i'd stick to the manor and hunt the masks elsewhere.

so it all comes down to how lucky you get, my first one was the hallowed one, i got 2 more after that, then the red one and lastly the midnight one (which was the one i was going for from the very start so ofc i get it last)

and yes, you can get them from the masked ones. i got 2 hallowed ones from a masked fire one. but mind you i've been hunting these cats since day 1 of royal highlands release.

The hollow jaakcat I think can be found anywhere you find jaakcats? I typically have good luck finding them in the hunting grounds by the manor or on top of the standing cliffs. You’ll know it’s a hollow because it will have a shot of bright blue fur on its tail

since i finally got one, i won't be collecting any more data, so while this isn't a confirmation that they DON'T appear at certain hours, it is at least a confirmation of some of the hours they DO appear at. Still believe they only appear during the daytime hours, but oh well don't have enough proof they don't appear at night so if anyone wants to give it a try... given how rare they are (1 or 2 per lure) i'd recommend sticking to confirmed spawn hours

I’m not sure about my luck hunting insects today. I spent 90 minutes (guessing) running around the Elderwood looking for a Will o’ Wisp and never found one. I had this idea to clear out the grumpy granite rockhoppers, thinking it might encourage a Will o’ Wisp to spawn in. It didn’t. I did end up with TWO plushies, a grumpy granite rockhopper, and a rainbow frogbert. Suggestions for how to catch the elusive Will o’ Wisp are much appreciated, thank you!

I think it's f9, there's a ledge, and I've found a lot there. A lure there often will spawn one or two, but not always. I've also found them nearby on that little hill with a bunch of trees, and in some places along the river, maybe i8/i9.

they're found anywhere in Bahari during the day and sunrise. use a lure, and catching everything that spawns will help increase spawn rates of all critters- it's rng so you'll likely need to use multiple lures
