Anyone else a little salty with Palia? New purchases are thrown at us each update, which I get we don’t have to buy; meanwhile, bugs continue to persist or get worse. No updates from devs or even acknowledgment that it is an issue has me beyond frustrated, especially this sacred flower bug. I think I’ll be taking a break and won’t buy any new costumes to support the game until they fix some of these issues.

And please don’t come at me with the “it’s still in development” they are releasing versions on every platform other than pc as if this game is complete. PC is the only version that states early access.

They updated us in April saying they were skipping a month in patch cadence to take extra time for more bug fixes than usual and those are set to come in the June patch (including some of the bugs they ran down in real time with players in this server the week of may 13th) - we'll see if that bears out and how the bigger issues the individual devs said they were working on get fixed in subsequent patches.

I get the frustration given their track record just odd timing to renew the complaint, since they've been communicative and collaborative on that front lately.

Not exactly helpful but they have the next 1 and sometimes 2 updates 'locked' and ready in advance because of something to do with how nintendo works and they have to update all at once (this is going off a comment made by a dev from a while ago probably pinned in sixtracker) so anything they cant fix with small hotfixes which isnt that much, it can take a while :( (dont get me wrong some fixes have taken way longer than that to fix but thats kind of an explanation for some of the wait)

oh, for sure - having (temporarily) improved communication doesn't mean they've reached good communication. That would require permanent up-staffing most likely. We did see in April that they are capable of issues comms outside of discord but it was probably a one off.

not on someone's housing lot in tours unfortunately, BUT I did find out that it is the waves of water wall paper, when glitched onto the floor it makes straight lines and presents as very shiny!! I was helped out int he DECOR section and was able to place it on my floor 🙂

No, that's specifically a feature in housing tours after the update! Go try it out, press G and you can point at items to see their names

okay so I went and tried it out, it works really well but you cant get information of wallpapers or floors that have anything on or too close to them, so like walls with shelves or a wardrobe touching the wall it wont let you read the wall paper, and floors ... essentially if there is anything in the room on the floor it wont let you read what texture is on the floor, for me anyways

I wish we were able to buy just the pants of a set, sometimes I’ve really liked one item piece in the premium shop but have to buy the whole skin to match a outfit of my choice. I think deffo a discount for one piece of item would be really could but I fear I’d spent too much that way too 😬🤷‍♀️🌸

It's not out on Switch 2. The Switch 2 is backwards compatible and you can play the Switch 1 version on it, but they didn't release a Switch 2 version

As far as I can tell, Switch 2 version amounts to raising the FPS cap an incorporating some of the system's features like mouse controls. I very much doubt they have anything remarkable planned. Also since there's been long wait times, that ticket was probably submitted before the team got it working on the switch, so I stand by what I said.

judging on comments from other devs who had their games on the list it was nintendo who did something to make those games run

the only difference for palia (and most games that had no additional update for switch 2) is the higher fps, bcs of the better hardware of the console

if they plan to work on an actual switch 2 port it would probably be mentioned in the roadmap at the earliest, if ever lol

It's weirdly phrased tbh, but yeah, what you need is to get the achievement called Housing Slot II which unlocks at 5 plots like Ciri said.

Instead phrase it as "It unlocks after you buy X number of additional plots"

For one, due to bugs, some people started with more plots than others.

Okay picked up all trees but the ones to be chopped. Now have 463 in storage Empty lot shows 209 Decor - 82 choppable ones on industry means 127 unaccountable, and unless I have 127 crafters/storage etc items that are part of that number something isn't adding up

why is fish stacking the absolute worst thing ever, sometimes they line up perfectly and other times they just wont. i keep running into this issue and i have yet to find a way other than unstacking and restacking all my fish tanks, does anyone have any idea why this does this?

It's 2049. Civilization has fallen. Palia is still in beta. The Pebbled Plunder quest isn't fixed yet. But there's a new long nose unicorn plush in 1/100000 chances.

Honestly, I think they've done a pretty bang-up job. Beta or not, there are a lot of folks that have tons of hours in this game (It's me, I'm folks) and even with all the bugs, the game is still enjoyable for me. lol

Can S6 patch things a little faster? .... Yes. Absolutely yes. But it's still a great game regardless!

In Singularity's defense, 7DTD was in Beta for 11 years or something around that.

Warframe is meant to be forever in open beta, though.

I think with it being MMO, there's going to be updates on it until devs decide it isn't worth it anymore. But even then, 1.0 isn't out yet. They're still developing the content of the game, which is the point of beta. When they finish adding all the content, then they'll start just doing improvements and bug fixes and nothing else. That's when "beta" would essentially be over.

We saw a big slump on content last year because the devs were putting all their efforts into EW, so that was the reason behind it. The problem comes in when they start using the "beta" label as an excuse for bugs/issues, which is what some of us are joking about.

Not saying they are, but some people like to throw that line when someone makes a comment on an issue.

Cuz weather in one place is different from weather in another place at any time. The two hemispheres have different weather, two different peak altitudes have different weather, n some places have a more or less set weather at all times - Snow, windy, rainy, scalding.

Are they just going to follow the weather in Uniter States of America, even then afaik not all of USA has the same weather either, with some more wet n some no-snow areas.

If they track only USA weather, I'm afraid players in other countries might feel othered, cuz it's a little odd to just use one State ?

To be honest I think my favorite thing about Palia is that there is no fighting or pve it gives me less anxiety when play but it still has all the adventuring and puzzles like legend of Zelda. ( which is one of my fav game series) sometimes I need a break from the action and just want to explore and solve puzzles without feeling anxious lol.

if you talk to them and don’t rush clicking thru the convo they give you a chance to back out, (you can also quit the game mid convo and it’s like it didn’t happen). but once that convo is finished you can’t change who you picked. so becareful when choosing dialogue options .

i picked mine based on who i thought would be a “good teacher/influence” for my character (i like writing stories but i also thought chayne would be hilarious”)

so far choices don’t seem to effect anything plot wise or etc, at most you get extra dialog for xmas(a little more if romanced then)/lunar new year? but otherwise their not talked about much

Is this a room for suggestions? If so I have one I'd like to see I feel better impacts both genders. I bought another outfit yesterday and my husband did as well but was a bit disappointed that there are less options for men and none had gliding without a glider like two female costumes. This got me thinking 🤔 I feel it would be more profitable if all costumes came with both male and female versions. I believe if they did it would increase the amount of people purchasing them as it would enable more options for men. Don't get me wrong, there are some masculine ones, but not many. By making two versions I believe it would increase sales as there are many who play as males as well as women. This would broaden the selection and increase Profits. Please take this into consideration towards future updates. Please and thank you from the Nightmoons. 😊

There's currently no way to delete your existing character to reset you progress, unless you contact support via their website. That method can take some time, but I've heard it's been done. Personally, I just used another email on login.

I have the Galdur Pup because I rarely see players running around with it, and it's something rare and special to me. It doesn't matter what color, it's the model that counts. And soon, all non-paying players will be running around with a Galdur Pup.

When I could afford to buy a pet I had chosen the Baby Galdur of Palium, in addition to the fact that I really liked it aesthetically, because it was very rare to see around, and I would not have found myself with an animal that everyone had. Honestly the fact that now you can get it for free seems unfair to me for those like me who paid for it. As for the fact that, from a rare animal, it will become the most common. It does not matter that the paid ones have other skills, it is the pet itself that counts (excuse my English)

I've already said that it's not about the colors, but about the model. I didn't buy my Galdur for its color, but because it's rare—most people prefer dragons and foxes. Making a Galdur freely available now is, in my opinion, a rip-off. Not everyone has to share that opinion, but players who also own a Galdur might understand.

make sure you don’t have suppress all @role mentions disabled in the discord settings of the server and have game news and server status roles in channels and roles enabled! (this is one of the very few large servers where i don’t have pretty much every ping turned off — they use them pretty sparingly). they’ll let you know before the servers go down, if there’s any unexpected issues that make the downtime last longer than expected, and when it’s safe to log back in.

We’ve teamed up with the Microsoft Gaming Accessibility Testing Service to run a deep-dive audit of Palia. Their mission: spotlight the most pressing accessibility gaps, map out a clear workflow for our development team to address, and guide us toward adding features that truly move the needle for players. The first wave of fixes ships with the Radiance Rising update, with even more improvements queued up for the patches that follow.
They've said repeatedly that tomorrow's patch has more bug fixes than other patches (forget by what magnitude though? double?) and they address that the building system isn't working so they're overhauling it.

Generally i'm with you though - they're addressing the 'things are broken' generally but not all of the specifics of everything players are bothered by

"Overprep" refers to players contributing extra ingredients beyond what the recipe needs in order to gain the benefits of the completed cooked dish. For example, macaroons only need 1 sweetleaf. However, you can have people "overprepping" additional sweetleaves in order to also get the macaroons.

It's commonly used in cooking parties to accommodate more players than there are steps in the recipe.

Nothing. If two sweet leaves are mixed for macaroons, only one leaf mix will be used to complete the recipe, but both players who mixed will benefit.

That’s true. I see flowers on blocks. I have watched tutorials on how to do it. But on console things are much harder. I also wish decorating was top down instead of my character is there. Not sure if you know, but if you're trying to place things on shelves you can place the shelf low on the wall, put the things on, and then move the shelf and everything will stay on it

Even without rushing EW, I was done in a week. There really aren't many alternatives if you aren't into grinding for plushies or decorating. I'm not saying this game needs to be OSRS but there's really not a lot of things you can do outside of that, and it's understandable why so many end up leaving for a while, come back for a week or two, leave again.

I do that with those new Elderwood lamps that are wall placeable. Place them low. Turn them on. Then move back far enough to place them high. Or use the mushroom launcher to get to the roof of my house.

They did. Personally, my issue with that is the lack of specifics. They didn't mention any of the accessibility improvements coming in the next update nor did they mention anything like how they're going to make fishing accessible (since they put the rubber duck recipe behind an inaccessible skill to many) so it's hard to take it at face value.

We have no idea if they're taken into account what disabled players ourselves have pointed out, or if they're only working off what the accessibility consultant points out

It's hilarious that they're so terrified of making the progression feel at all grindy or having people do "repetitive" tasks like dungeons or events to earn rare resources, but don't mind putting in a thousand plushies at 1% drop rates. :/

It took me five real weeks to get the unicorn fish for the bundle. I only ever saw three of them. I haven’t fished for another. Even if it would be nice to display one.

And that's the WORST kind of RNG: the kind that's absolutely invisible. It's so much different to me trying to find something rare when I can physically SEE if it's there while I'm running around or what not, rather than having to stand in the same spot doing the same task for hours on end just hoping to hit that 1% chance.

This exactly, I'm end game in games like HSR but I still have a reason to go on and farm for materials while waiting on the next story installment (not like I haven't skipped half of it but ). The plushies just end up being more filler RNG, they aren't even gameplay.

I thought they said they had made fishing easier. But I find it still seems the same way it was before. Any hard fish require so many buffs of assistance and then the fish you want, or need never is found while all the buffs are active making it just seem ridiculous to require so much for so little payoff.

This is me in the new Fantasy Life right now. The end game has so many things you can grind for, but there's clear goals to work towards and clear rewards you get for doing it to keep you going.

Even SDV for me has a better endgame because you work towards making your farm more profficient/profitable, decorating or getting achievements. The RNG in that game works a lot better too, since it's actually determined and you can load your save to see the rates.

I think different people have different definitions for it. I personally wouldn't consider it borderline cheating either, and just helpful for accessibility reasons as well. To each their own, as long as there's no shaming or "gatekeeping" if you will, the amount of times I've heard people complain about the regenerable resources in game is really something.

Plugins would probably be a better word for it, and many other MMO's also have them (such as OSRS).

Back when the rtb plush first came out, the mappers gobbled up all the rtb spawns. If you're a regular player, even with a buzzy jar, you stood no chance. So map users can be detrimental to normal players in some cases

It's a grey area, because mappers can also be helpful in parties, which is also how some were able to get the plush. I went and watched videos of all the ones I'll never do, and honestly Subira is actually wholesome, I don't really wanna say anything else since I don't wanna give spoilers, but when she was first released before Elderwood ||I was mad suspicious of her, like I thought she was gunna be bad, or the Order was going to cause havoc, but now that I've done the quests I actually like her, like she's actually pretty cool (and it helps shes always in her room so friendship maxxing is easy xD)||

I think the fish tanks aren't actually different sizes, it's that post-patch, they stack with a tiiiiny gap between the tanks. (For some reason they can no longer be stacked from the overhead view, which is inconvenient when building tall structures.)

Here's a set of fish I had placed on my stash plot before the patch, plus a stack of rainbow trout (blue ones) that I picked up for a party today and then just now put back down. You can see the gaps between the tanks.
