The reason is because the dialogue stopped working for almost all of us. We finally spoke to Reth again and then could continue and go to Delilah afterwards.

I think visitors from last year are bugged and that will be need to be addressed for next year as well. With only a day or so left, there’s probably nothing they can do to fix it now… perhaps they can compensate you? Definitely send in the ticket. That’s all I can think of right now

Late reply, but that's a magnificent idea. It could even be tied to a quest reward piece of furniture (I'd love more functionable furniture that's not just there to look pretty and do nothing)

The Enchanted Sundial: A mystical artifact that can warp space and time in a small area around it. Interacting with it will allow you to change the time of day (But the ingame time will remain the same, for gardening purposes of course)

Something this reminds me of, is how for Runescape, Jagex has a convention called Runefest every year in the UK and they hold the Golden Gnome awards for all the best content creators in the OSRS community and they actually win a trophy and some have won a lifetime of subscription.

There's a podcast for OSRS by one of the content creators where he interviews a random OSRS content creator or real life famous person who plays OSRS and they just talk about whatever. It's actually really cool.

They recently had a player for the Tennessee Titans on the podcast.

Also the Jmods hold Q&A questions every couple months in addition to having their own podcast where they talk about the state of the games industry and some personal stuff.

Rather than seeing the Jmods as "the man hiding behind the curtain", because of their openness with us and willingness to work with us; we view them more like colleagues or friends.

I think it has to start with certain members of S6 giving us a reason to trust them before we can get to that level of comfort with them.

They could have just said that it was just that, and while I still think it is a very flawed feature, at least the expectations would be realistic.

Yep. A few years ago they hired an actual economist to figure out how to stop gold from inflating. They implemented a trading tax for using the Grand Exchange (The OSRS version of the stock market) and The wealth from that tax goes towards buying out extremely valuable equipment and deleting it from the game to keep the prices of said equipment up. There's a difference between Venezuelan gold farmers and bots. Jagex will ban the bots but they can't really prove the Venezuelans are farming gold most of the time. This actually isn't super uncommon! This is usually rendering issue with the game, and if you're on switch, it happens more often there (I believe). Usually the solution is to teleport home if the unstuck button doesn't work.

I'm going to make a hot take and say Elderwoods isn't going to be enough to save Palia. Not even close at this point.
I think we'll get a resurgence of players who will want to check it out for a month then just go back to playing whatever their favorite game is.
And there is no shot that Elderwoods is going to have a smooth release if these last few sloppy updates are anything to show for it.

If anything, it will put Palia on life support from Daybreak and from some returning players buying items in the cash shop; but that's it.

On switch you can: get stuck in the stairs that go down to the underground entrance door, fall through zeki's floor into a void, fall through tish's floor (but it's still solid underneath), fall through some places in Bahari. All because of rendering issues.

They could, obviously, hold items for you. Pick up lootbags that are in a specific area around you (so you know, would help those that are under the ground or too high in the sky for you to grab). But, on a tiny cooldown, being able to send them back to either your storage to drop the items off, or being able to send back to 'town' to sell the items in the bags.

And you would have a special obelisk or shrine on your plot that you would attune it to that would look pretty AND would be functional.

Imagine that, S6. Furniture that actually does something other than take up space.

I just want to point out that a large proportion of disabled folks play games like this because of many reasons, we can do things in the game world that we can't normally do, some things as simple as being able to walk in video games and needing help in real life. Video games can be mentally healthy for people who aren't able to socialize often. But when the game has so many glaring accessibility issues, and seems to be run on the model of a super competitive RPG, then it becomes more like a massive slap in the face to anyone who chooses to play your "cozy" game.

Think something like those energy drinks that an old buddy from school got in touch with you to try to sell you on.

I'll also add that most if not all NFT's and that internet currency I can't name are usually attempts by celebrities/influencers and content creators to capitalize off of the loyalty of their fans. They'll usually build up as much hype as possible around these kinds of schemes and then once the value is at its highest, they will dump their share (And the share of everyone who is also in on the scheme) and crash it for maximum profit (Also known as a rug pull). It has destroyed the lives of many people.
