the plot you have selected could be empty but it wont be at 0/3000 of the decor limit, if any other plot has (for example) trees or cooking stations.

no, I was asking if there was short term plan for renown to be used in something else. Most people capped on renown and there is nothing else you can do with it at this point. I got 5 renown as a prize from the wishing tree so i thought I might ask if that was put there on for a special purpose... Please refrain to answer if you do not even understand the question; might as well just shoosh me instead.

(Understood it pretty well thank you .. hence I stated what I stated above, We all hope for a future use for it, Perhaps with EW who knows we might be surprised and with future content there could be a use for it, surely S6 has plans for renown , not just plan for it to accumulate, max the cap and nothing more to it. But hey that's my common sense talking.. Still I don't appreciate being spoken to in the manner above. the gif served a purpose ( jokingly) what Am I supposed to do about it.?? On that note, Pretty sure renown is not on the top of the list of concerns atm.. (it is just one more issue that needs to be addressed however there are more important things that need to be fixed first ..Like the rest of us here , we can only give feedback and hope the team takes it onboard. This has been an issue for a while, and it's why they raised it to 9,999. Which def doesn't help the problem. Just wanting to say that i hope there is a reason for it and hopefully plans later on, for a renown sink (Because like you said above, raising the cap doesn't help the problem.)

I do have a question. Which I've kept meaning to send into feedback or bugs or whatever, cuz not sure which it'd fall under, but--

When you hit a tree, a mining node and stuff, it has that small ball that's a flash. When I lower effects, it makes it a bit more opaque/bright (and in some instances, bigger). Was it intentional to have a hit marker that looks like this ball of light, if you know? And if not, can you bring it up to potentially get it fixed ... or even bring up, maybe, a way to remove it-- even if it's something that can be toggleable for people client-side?

I've been wondering if it was a bug, because it's similar to how the Snowball was but on a smaller scale. Still gives me headaches, and I have to look away when I hit trees/rocks/etc. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way!

the early part of the game is such a grind. later game is… not. there’s not much of a balance. you either have too little or too much of a resource. from the ama ages ago, i do believe that making these things difficult to obtain was intentional, at least at the time. i feel like that intention still exists. but yee. i’s just going to get zeki coins every couple of days when i played regularly cos i was at gold cap. and renown… shares the same rent space in my brain as guilds.

I could also say that putting the game on "the right path" benefits me personally for enjoying the game (or what it could be and pretends to be), or that I put effort into it because it is something my friends enjoy... and maybe it just happens by coincidence to align with what the community wants. Or it's just because game dev is an actual interest of mine.

I've brought popcorn when the community has been on fire and added fuel instead of being constructive, chuckled while the dumpster has been aflame, I've ran ahead with pitchforks, I've stoked the flames instead of avoiding them or help putting them out. Ehh, I'm not a gem nor do I want to be, and good is the wrong word for me.

What I said was more of a general statement (and not aimed at you) to back up what ValkOrii said, that people in general seem to think store update is the same as patch, and it has created a lot of misunderstandings in the past. Honestly, it's more a failure on Singularity 6's part than anything else.

They've been a bit more present the last few weeks, but not nearly enough to the point where I'd say the community feels seen... and for their talk of improving communication, there's still way too many instances of confusions that arise from their wording in announcements and how they deal with things in game.

Pretty much. And they just never say things in clear text, they're obsessed with having to either say things the corporate way or say things in "look how fun we are" ways. Recent example was how people got confused about the new outfit "Cast a line and reel-in the new Local Catch outfit, available now!" making some people think they could earn it from fishing (like with fish plushes)... instead of just saying "The 'Local Catch' outfit is now available in the premium store."

This. If you compare patch notes from right after open beta started to now, you can see the drastic uptick in premium content. I also hate how they don’t include an extensive list of bug fixes in the patch notes. Starting to suspect the handful they include is the whole list though.

Yeah the info you get is just luck of the draw. I’ve had several people tell me they just gave up because they couldn’t get support to understand the issue. One example in particular was sending screenshots of their quest log to show they didn’t have a quest and the support agents kept trying to help them with the quest that was showing in the quest log until they just gave up.

There's one support member who I cringe whenever they respond to one of my tickets, b/c they're NEVER helpful. Just go into a roundabout of "ok I'll forward this" which now sounds like those issues NEVER got forwarded

This. Don't get me wrong, they do help people sometimes, but the amount of times what they say isn't correct, or they ask you to provide stuff you've already provide, etc. It's not good. And clearly not enough gets escalated seeing as how many bugs are "unknown" to S6.

The Raspberry Beetle and Vampire Crabs weren't showing up at all during the early alpha tests. I'd just get told they looked like they were working but... Yeah lol

I think it’s both. It’s pretty clear that support is outsourced. I’d wager many of the agents aren’t even familiar with the game. But the knowledge base they have to pull from is probably lacking if I know S6.

i especially loved it about the pebble plunder achievement still not showing that i've completed it, event though i've put in a ticket for it. they came back and said basically that yeah, we see that it's complete in your files, but you have to send us a screen shot of the achievement. first off, i don't have an easy means of getting you that screen shot, second, why would i waste people's time to get the achievement unlocked if i got the reward in the first place?

I was watching a lot of YouTube videos about Palia yesterday and someone said that they wish they had clipping because the person was making a bookshelf and had to manually clip the two shelves together in the video which looked tedious to me if I wanted to build something like that. I like baby steps, b/c it allows devs to quickly make adjustments to sale prices without affecting a lot. So if strawberries are released and they're essentially the same as blueberries (plant sizewise and growth wise) but worth a LOT more than blueberries when processed, devs can fix it before we use them to break recipes.
That being said, the BIGGEST gripe when new crops are released is that we still only have 9 crop plots, which doesnt seem like a lot if you want to plant a little bit of everything

I know this is a whole other topic, and the devs are aware, but as much as I’d like more placeable food options, I’d really like a raised decor limit before implementing things that take up decor space. You can only have X amount of plots, with X amount of items. For us decor enthusiasts, especially with ghosted rooms/other advanced glitching techniques, we need at least 1 (some 2) empty plots for our glitched houses/rooms.

For sure. This had actually been a high priority thing for us for months (or longer), but it’s actually an IMMENSE technical hurdle. Our engineers and artists have gotten pretty creative with potential solves, but there’s a lot to overhaul on the performance side to possibly make this a reality. • Putting a starred forageable in the seeder would give you 1 seed of that type.
• The plot would behave like flowers, where they'd be watered but not fertilized/weeded and fully grow after a few ingame days.
• You could pick the fully grown forageable to get 1-3 of it (Starred or not depending on gardening level) and 1 seed.
• Planter pots would be placeable on the ground, on surfaces like tables, and on outside windows.

This could be a way to have a renewable source of cooking ingredients while also adding some more beauty to a home.

It probably depends and depends how complicated the issue is - what's best is if new information is added that helps us better understand how to fix that. Past that upvotes should be somewhat similar to writing a new ticket. One thing to note though: bug fixing is a prioritization problem - if you went in and upvoted every single issue you might actually hurt our understanding of which ones were actually the most impactful.

whenever people played Heavy Metal Chapaa down in the Black Market it would cause a crash that came up as Pure virtual function being called while application was running. don't ask me what it means or why the arcade caused that, i'm not the game engie here XD /joke
anyways, that was in 2023. and this thing seems to be making a comeback. like i said, down in tech-help we're recommending people report with screenshots and gamelogs, but hey, since it's something that happened once before - and was fixed once before - i figured i'd bring it up with you. there isn't much we on the player side can do about it/to help each other with it.

We have constant reports whenever ANYBODY crashes, which is different from functionality bugs like "this recipe is wrong".
If we have players crashing constantly, we track this immediately and it becomes a live incident if it's very bad (for example, when players started crashing constantly on tool skins that one time) and it warranted a hotfix

If players were crashing on just visiting Black Market that would be setting off some flags 💀

To be clear, we don't know for sure that the "pure virtual function" type crashes are being triggered by the arcade machines this time ... just that they have in the past. And we've seen an uptick in them since the last patch. We're pushing people to report with logs/screenshots/etc, but a lot of people can't be bothered. (Also, across a range of system specs, so not just affecting low-end machines or anything like that).

They used to teleport things randomly / out of bounds and the "temporary" solution seemed to be making them just teleport to the entrance of the plot, but that was months ago. Seems like a pretty major issue for a game that's main purpose is decorating.

Yeah on the blocks isn't considered a "valid" placement. So they go to the front of the plot now.

Which is 1000% better than having to play scavenger hunt literally all over (and under) your plot for things.

Available with level 40 Agriculture (What Animal Husbandry + Gardening would be when they're merged into 1 skill)
You get your first Ormuu after completing a quest for Kenyatta/Nai'O "Saving the Kilima Rodeo". More can be purchased from Nai'O.

Diet: Crops + Knapweed. Different variants of Ormuu recover more happiness + hunger from certain crops.

Byproducts: Milk, Ormuu fur (Used in making special furniture and used alongside peki down to craft plushies), Fertilizers.

Environment: Barn (Also an upgradeable building. Lv1 = Copper + Sapwood. Lv2 = Iron + Heartwood. Lv3 = Palium + Flow wood.) The higher level the barn, the more Ormuus you can keep within and the slower their happiness goes down. Permit purchased from the Town Hall.

Variants:
1.) Normal - Produces a moderate amount of milk and fur with no notable features.
2.) The shorthaired Ormoo - Basically a cow. Produces a lot of milk but very little fur.
3.) The highland Ormuu - We didn't know Ormuus could get any more hairy! Produces a lot of fur but very little milk.
4.) Megamuu - A very rare variant of Ormuu that is too stubborn to provide milk or fur, but can be equipped with a saddlebag and trained with a special whistle to transport items from your inventory to your plot's storage chest.

The whistle must be crafted from various rare components and is expensive, but once crafted it can be used once every 5 minutes to call your Megamuu to your location. From there, an interface will open up where you can place 1 stack of items from your inventory into its inventory and they can be transported either to your storage or to the sales bin if there is room.

It's extremely out of date in regards to options that's why kost just avoid using it and the more looking issue of "they ain't listening" which to be fair they sometimes do it just takes time for somethings which is fine but there's no consistency within support. 2 people could make the exact same ticket and get 2 very different answers I hope to see the support section improve and be more widely available (fun fact the support page still has loading issues!) since as always not every player is on the discord (game is rated 10+ discord is 13+) so it's hard to work out issues sometimes

I am putting down the same concrete pavers and it has three different shapes. I am mildly annoyed by this

if you cancel placing the paver and then go to place it again, you can just keep going until you get the shape you want before you place it. Or do what I did and place them all out and organize them by size, pick up the size you don't want and keep replacing them until they're all the same size. and the wood slab pavers have 4 sizes I think? lmao

there haven't been any new cooking recipes in a full year, last LNY were the most recent ones afaik. I would hope for new ones with elderwoods but other than that they havent really shown any inclination to add new ones :/

The new ones from elder woods probably won't even be good and the only good one will need expensive mats to even cook

We should be able to make food and set how much focus it restores up to 1k. The only good focus food being cakes so you don't have to click multiple times is really lame

I think they'll only edit previous recipes to require some elderwoods ingredients or it'll be an option

The entire food system is lame. Tying focus solely to some bonus EXP means focus is essentially worthless, which then makes food worthless.

Only uses are selling it for gold or using it for decorating.

I think we will get more as the game progresses and eventually with new events (because they mentioned at some point we will be having more majiri inspired events throughout the year)

If they made leveling up more worth it/enticing after the first few levels it would be worth it for the xp buff, which hopefully they will get round too 🤞

I disagree with this. Allowing players to SET focus sounds like a nightmare.
I also think using cake as focus food is wild. I always use chili dumplings or spicy crab rice when I need focus food.

It gives the highest focus so why wouldn't I use it as focus food. Plus with the parties and how easy it is to make once you get it.

Also clicking too much hurts so the less I need to click to top off my focus bar, the better

And it's less cooking which is less clicking too. You need fewer batches of cakes for a play session than the dumplings etc so if your focus bar is big enough, cakes carry you further. I haven't played in ages but it was common enough for people to eat cakes even before cake parties were nerfed.

lmao i tend to be overwhelmed and impatient abt decorating too but i suppose you can look through #🏡│decor for tips and ideas!!

personally i broke my plot down into rooms and garden sections and worked on it one by one so it was less overwhelming. got a basic idea like 'i want this room to be a bedroom' or 'i want to put my silverwing nest here' and then i picked out some basic furniture that fits and put that down and then filled in the rest with whatever smaller decor i thought might look good. you can always change things if you think your first attempt didn't look good

also i think it helps a lot to have an 'ikea plot' where you've put out all your furniture on display, rather than going through and squinting at all the little icons in your storage chests. an ikea plot makes it easy to walk through and pick out furniture when you have a particular aesthetic in mind
