I use my mouse and AWSD keys, and in the beginning I feel there was a toggle to auto run (or something like that) and it was the fast run. They did some update in 2023 that borked that, and it hasn’t been the same since. Like, every time I switch servers I have to turn the fast run on again.

I'm jumping in late here, and what you say is fair, but I still want to throw out my two cents in a more general manner since there's a lot of people that do use beta as an excuse: Storefronts generally don't list this game as beta/early access. If you go to the website and to the download button, nowhere along the way is it listed either.

And honestly, with the state this game is in, in my opinion it feels a lot more like an alpha. We're not in the "ironing out bugs" stage, we're in the "things don't work and is waaay unfinished" stage.

Ok, speculation time. Focus bar and buff list are supposed to be separate. Focus bar requests a certain size. The buffs occupy no internal space when it's empty, and supposed to "overlay" when something is there. As soon as something is in it, the buff icon section requests a minimum size... but instead of being an overlay it is treated as an entire column making the requested minimum size also add to the bar.

How many buffs are there in total. Three types of fishing buff iirc, right? Are there any other things that apply buffs? Trying to think, but drawing a blank right now.

Just trying to see if we can increase the size even further by going beyond the default minimum width requested by the grid. I don't know what the minimum requested size is, so pushing as many buff types as possible is the thought. But I can't think of any buffs but those three, which probably isn't enough to break minimum width.

It seems its just as soon as you get a buff there's a hidden frame for buffs and it's now connecting to the focus bar forcing it to resize instead of being independent of itself

And unsure. It could be that the buffs area requests a minimum width no matter how many buffs (i.e. 300 pixels), so one or two buffs ain't enough. But with enough buffs, it breaches that minimum width (say 350 pixels) and then starts adding more length.

Again though, no worries, I just like doing silly stuff to break game. 😂

like just imagine a long bar (just like at the bottom where it says "Press Enter to chat" well when you get a buff that bar shows up but its opacity is set to 0% so you dont see the bar but thats where your buff icons show up. Well now it's connected to the focus bar and will increase its size when that bar shows up (the buff bar doesn't grow as you get buffs but instead just adds icons to it as you get them) a lot of games use this method

Indeed. I will say though, while the lack of clarity on this one makes it a lot harder to trigger, I personally think this should be among the highest priority fixes right now. There's way to many people now who are still on the "just can't play the game at all" because of this. It's entire player/market groups that can't play now. It might not be the same flash after all, but reviewing the footage I got now, and I'm wondering if it is related to loading (or failing to load) UI Texture2D elements. But considering partially transparent overlays can still be Texture2D images with alpha channel, that can still go white

It doesn't seem to be full zone loads either. Afaik, home tours doesn't load you out of the map either, but it does throw up a loading screen for a brief moment as it switches out assets and stuff... and that is still enough to trigger it.

Actually, what happens is when you go to a new zone or switch house tours, it throws up the loading screen for a frame, then makes it completely transparent, before fading to black, and then making load screen 100% visible again. It is that single frame at the start that blinds in this particular case.

Honestly, from my mediocre Unreal Engine understanding, it seems like an issue where they add UI to the viewport (screen in this case) first, then populate it or set values like transparency, rather than the other way around: prepopulate and set transparency then add to viewport.

Alternatively, defaulting the UI to being transparent.

That said, they may just have the UIs added permanently added to viewport, and just do the settings for it in the wrong order.

The more footage we have, the merrier. If you're getting a completely white screen, it could still be the same issue. Might have something to do with some computers loading elements faster than others, so more of my loading screen finishes before it gets hidden, whereas yours doesn't manage to load as much, thus getting completely white.

The big white screen flash seems to be lighting or post process for sure. When it happened, first flashed, but you could still vaguely see outlines before it faded more and more to white. Some elements in world are still partially visible at "max fade".

This reminds me a lot of how you have camera exposure settings you have in the post process of UE that is supposed to mimic eye/camera auto-exposure. Simulating how eyes or cameras react to different lighting settings and adapting to it, or getting blinded.

I can confirm this is a lighting/post process issue though because it also affects the previews of party members (which are generated from models).

While whitescreened, going into inventory, then premium shop, the whitescreen disappears as it fades out and opens premium UI, but when you go back out of premium UI it goes straight to whitescreen. Again, seems to hint at post process to me at least, as I'd assume it disabled some post process during fadeout to the fullscreen premium UI, and re-enables it when you exit the UI.

Ok, so big warning (and therefore spoilered) about this featuring white screen of death. That said, take note of the difference when I change the bloom settings. Particularly Chapaa Arcade on the right, and the shadow from furniture on the left. You'll also be able to see some bluishness of rocks from the rocky fireplace thingy near the lower left corner when bloom is off.

For me to reproduce it all I had to do was plot hop on the tour board a few times and it almost always triggers for me within the first 10 votes. -other than restarting if people make their way to kilima/bahari entrances and go in and out it fixes itself

At 4:47 AM ingame, note how as it changes to day sky it has like 3-4 steps of fading the WSoD until "regular" state... darker than regular actually before readjusting to normal.

Yeah. It that the while the clock it self is segmented into the 6 PM/9 PM for dusk and night, the actual skybox switches roughly in-between those those two. So it's definitely cycle related.

What would you also think of us being able to have the crafted SV/MS furniture be "different" than the stuff we get from Zeki Coins/Fishing? Like, it'd be a different item ID but identical in looks. That way you could break down and study the RNG furniture but not stuff you crafted. That would leave room for another workstation.

Recipe Roulette Machine - Insert a furniture recipe into this machine for a 50% chance to receive a different recipe from the same furniture pool.

That way if you keep getting a lot of the same kind of duplicate furniture, you can turn it into other recipes from the same item pool.

I'd definitely be in favor of a bartering system with no gold involved. The current donation system just doesn't work. I think a barter system where we can exchange one item for one or more items of an equivalent gold price (Within 10% of the other item's value) would be fair.

You know what I'd like to see? A Plushie crafting system that also uses Animal Husbandry. Hear me out...

1.) We get Pekis with Animal Husbandry for useful byproducts like eggs. Since birds moult their feathers, one of those byproducts could be Peki Down.

2.) S6 gives us a study machine like the furniture study machine @stuck oar mentioned where we can destroy "x" amount of plushie for a recipe of that plushie.

• 10 Plushies for commons.
• 5 Plushies for uncommons.
• 3 Plushies for rares.
• 1 Plushie for legendaries.

3.) These recipes would be tradeable and be fairly expensive to craft but HIGHLY sought after.

4.) At 30 Furniture Crafting, we could buy a "Build-a-Buddy" machine from Tish (From the guild store with tokens).

5.) The build-a-buddy machine would allow us to use Peki Down and materials of different rarities depending on the tier of plushie we're making to make a new plushie from that recipe.

You can have more than 8 storage chests across all of your plots - you are just limited to 8 on one plot. If that is what you are asking.

The game, which not labelled correctly, is a beta. Bugs happen. For months (like what was it spring or summer?) I couldn't water or gain flow seeds. Now hey look at that more people can't interact with flow trees on their plots.
The white screen of death is a on going problem for the majority å quick search on the discord can show it and it happens across devices and launchers many players have invested efforts into helping finding the triggers and the cause, within reason, bugs happen we live, laugh, suffer through them. At best we get a few haha funny outta it

I don't really understand this response. This game has been advertised as inclusive and cosy, etc. imho, when a game is advertised as such, it's fair to assume you won't encounter anything that can give you headaches/migraines, sensory overload, or even life-threatening for some. That aside, WC has mentioned that this specific issue is a priority now, and has gotten data from some helpful people over this specific problem.

1. This is just an annoyance. When playing Chapaa Chase, there are people with pets and outfits that resemble the Chapaa (some actually have a Chapaa as part of the outfit), and it makes it frustrating to chase one down. Or you think they have one in their hand, then yoink the one you’re about to take. 😭

2. Unless I’m missing something, I went through all the stamp card rewards, and none of those grant the fireworks wallpaper. When I go to the register that sells it, it says requirements not met, but I don’t have any quests for it? I am confusion.
