OMG, thank you for this picture. It seems that my bundle had bugged and I never got the reward. I only found out because I have every quest, bundle and achievement in the game finished but I did not have the Young Silverwing Nest. I went back to the temple, click on the gales symbol and got the item and achievement. It seemed to have been patched but I never noticed it.

My best suggestion would be to use an ore compass when you can

But in general when you find one, start calling it out
It sets an example and others start calling it out too
Then you'll get more :)

Yeah my old community used to ore hunt for them and call it out after every 3-5 rotations - so it gave us a break and let anyone who was new to the server wanted to join - same with flowtrees

You should be able to change the keybinds to get around #2. #4 is a pitfall of being an MMO - sometimes things just don't display correctly due to various connection points. #7 I believe is a known issue that they've said they're going to address? Tho I can't remember where I saw that.

that shouldn't be an issue for palia as unlike most mmos they don't seem to shard instances you connect to a singular game server for the duration of being inside that area

I was a little confused. I stopped playing for like 2 months because of finals. Then switched to the steam version and all of a sudden players and npc's would be invisible the next second

No, I mean like, there's your own internet connection point to the Palia server, then somebody else's connection point to the server, and the server has to sync/display all those connection points to everyone else's connection points. If somebody's connection is weak, those external inputs can be compromised and not display correctly

That actually sounds like an issue with Steam - you may want to report that one as a bug to the Palia team

also it most likely is an issue with steam, but players should not be the one who validate their movement states in mmos

trusting the player client to do anything outside of render graphics is not good as anything the server trusts the client on is just one place it can fail between players.

its almost certainly an issue with the steam version of the game as its not something I've noticed while playing on the standalone version at all.

few other things, game feels like it lacks alot of polish in the farming system in general, seeds are clunky to place, no support for click holding fertilizer, no growth stage visual prompts in examine

The macro on my razer mouse does wonders in this game. Buying items (especially mod kits), picking flower seeds & crops, placing fertilizer, glitching furniture, etc.

thats another thing alot of uis are also just kinda bad, storage and crafting are a pain to find specific things in, stores limit purchases to one at a time so you need to spam click or use macros.

alot of the farming aspects feels like it tried to mimic other farming games but forgot what made them so good was the fact you could have a whole farm setup and not just a tiny backyard garden.

on this I don't know how I'd particularly solve the clunky seeds without removing the animations, perhaps some form of replant system where you can toggle a patch of soil so it prevents you from misplacing seeds?

An easy replant option would be nice. Choosing the amount of fertilizer to place at a time. Their own spin on farming.. like protection against bugs or something. (Using good bugs to fight bad bugs)

Sunhaven has seasonal totems against pests that can be placed. Thought that was interesting. But while Palia doesn't have seasons exactly, they could use zone totems or bugs like you said or something like that. Different zoned could have different veggies and you'd need to use specific totems for them to grow in your plot. Idk. Maybe it would be too complicated tho xD some people already refuse to place specific crops next to each other to benefit from their effects

That sounds cool. It’s not exactly their own spin but it’s a good example. Never heard of that game. I’m going to try to find a video on their bug system. I think the complex approach they took to gardening is the right way to go. Adding more complexity and features is always good. It’s not going to interest everyone, but i like the direction it’s going so far.

you call that anywhere near realistic lol. What I'm suggesting is already very stripped down to fit the theme of being a casual game with crops slowing down when placed off season.

you aren't forced to follow crop rotations like real gardening, you aren't forced to fertilize your crops or keep track of water and nutrients in the soil. You plant crops water them harvest them.

Gardening is not the main focus of this game, the current system is fine as is (except for not enough tiles)

thats because animal crossing lets you actually decorate with crops which we cannot do here what so ever as crops are hard locked to the 3x3 grid. Also my changes don't just affect gardening they make the world feel livlier by at the very least adding texture changes to animals in the world and at most adding new seasonal things

The 3x3 soil plots don't have to be in the same spot, you can put all of them in different places if you so desire

From what I've heard, one you've launched (or possibly even just put your product on Steam?) you can't put the game into Early Access retroactively. They'd probably need to delete the listing and start over.

Early Access can mean a lot of things, and yes, that also includes beta, and I also struggle at times to consider this game as beta personally. just because the game is so far from finished, and beta is usually used to Iron out things

For steam though, it should of been in early access imo since they are saying it's in beta, it doesnt mention it's on beta (on the main page for steam that's clearly visible), and there is monetization in the game-- even if it's just 'cosmetics'.

And as it is now, there has been people confused about the game being in beta once they downloaded it. Yes, it's free, but people have still felt really weird about that, or "lied" to in some ways. Since the only way to find out was/is joining discord or seeing the launch screen after you downloaded the game.

You can turn the brightness up on your monitor, not in the game tho

But that isn't always the thing for others! For some people, it's also too Bright, or too Dark. It's different for everyone! But it's also nice to be ablet o have that option in game, esp because... well, for me, I can easily forget to change my settings on my PC. plus it's colour-corrected, etc. Also, changing it on your own monitor can alter how the contrast and stuff looks, too! It isnt always the best way to do this.

If I forget to do that, it can be a pain bc I'm an artist. I want to make sure i see the colours properly! So it'd not be good if I forgot to fix it afterwards.

And w/ the headaches and migraines-- I am just sensitive to some colours and lighting. Along with other things. Even after 5 minutes, I can get a major headache, and get pretty dizzy and I have to close the game.

Why adjust your PC brightness every time you switch games when pretty much every game manages to offer brightness settings so you can adjust it once on a per game basis

^^; Our issue though is that we have been asking since closed beta, some even before that (from my understanding!), and it hasn't been properly addressed or added (until somewhat recently w/ being addressed, i guess?). Brightness Sliders are usually a really basic things in games! I'm not sure how those work on switch though, however! So I can understand if it's different there.

But it definitely should be something there already at least for PC! Same with colourblind settings! Those 2 things I think are a must for games, personally! I can understand why colourblind settings can take time though, to make sure you get it right, but it's still super important.

how can you what? raise your furniture making skill? just make furniture. you get an XP bonus for crafting something for the first time, so best to focus on things you've never crafted before; you can get the first few recipes from tish and then you'll unlock more as you craft them

Each item will have the requirements when you click on it or hover over it. The skill level requirement will always be in red I think until you reach the required level. The blue area above your item tells you what you need to do to unlock it. For example in this screen shot you sent, it says it will cost $1500 gold and you need to be at level 6 in furniture making to unlock and purchase the recipe; then it will only cost 5 silk thread to craft. I hope this helps you
