idk about upper floor but you can get on the bridges by gliding /climbing

Upper floor? There are a few routes, all involve gliding and climbing.

The best is via the aquaduct fragments in the front. You'll climb vines to a mid-level, jump to a little platform (need to glide) then up another set of vines, along the outside to the highest tier and that should get you where you're trying to go.

Star ingredients have a higher chance of a star dish, otherwise having other players help you cook them makes it easier to grind usually with others, I get it on the 2nd try

I've got a few * Petit 5's.. they look nice on a counter. But yeah, use * ingredients, you can even screw up a step or two and still get * results.

temple of gales will probably be fixed by the time the earth temple comes out, since the next update is focused on bug fixes. (and in the latest update they already prevented most newer people getting bugged by removing the ability to fly over to the orb island early)

A relative of mine was disappointed with the slow release of content and the various issues (in their defense they went in thinking the game was 1.0 and they’ve never played a game in Beta before); so they decided to step away but look forward to the eventual 1.0. Or at least to when more polished content is available, I’m sure a lot of people are in the same boat.

I completed the temple before the previous patch and was able to complete it because I knew what caused the bug

You can go in, you can walk around, you can collect collectibles, and if you get lucky, you will be able to turn in and advance your quests. If your not, NPC's will take off on you, and you'll wind up stuck, like me - NPC's have all gone to the last area, but the fan isn't on, and if I drift-respawn there, Zeki isn't interested in the key or the locked door, so quest will not advance. His last treasure is also beyond the last door, as is the first part of the hidden puzzle.

@umbral relic Not me - went in, found all the silverwing eggs, all but 2 evidence, and Elouisa just left and never came back, then Zeki took off, finally, later, Caleri left too and I was stranded.
Not sure what the actual cause was - though I know glide-respawning is also a trigger, but they had gone MIA long before I said "YORR!" (You Only Respawn Repeatedly) and made a leap-of-faith. Spawned up on the last area, found the key and the 6th treasure, and that's where I am until fully fixed.

I don't there is such a Thing as a "regular" MM. it's dumb they recycled the name. I see it like all other games of this type (Stardew, ACNH, etc), there's summer festival, fall festival x2 (usually a "spooky" and a Just Autumn), winter time, lunar new year, usually a Spring (easterish), etc. Maji Market is just a prefix really.

problem with the temple was that players were skipping dialogue and flew directly to the most interesting island that was obviously unreachable but reached it nonetheless bcs they respawned on it, a small thing missed by the devs that caused the progress blocking bug, they should've thought about the scenario tho

Ok so uh I have romanced Subira and at romance level 2 her voice lines reset to friendly and her dialogue stopped being the one of friendship level 4 but ones before. When I got her to romance level 3 she started having flirty voice lines again but her friendship dialogue is still not the ones I had before at level 4.... She can invent stuff for us, as a means of introducing new items and equipment. She's already work(ed[ing]) on a diving suit (could open up underwater areas and exploration for us), a speargun would be the next logical (underwater fishing - basically a cross{bow}, and she could peddle fireworks she makes - and keep it interesting by having her rotate which fireworks she has for sale from out-of-game-day to out-of-game-day.

And/or, to really make it interesting, base which fireworks she has in her rotation based on which liked/loved/always accepted gifts we give. Add just a dash of "consequence" to our choices.

The use of honey lure depends on what bug you are trying to catch, both in Kilima or Bahari. Check the timings in Palia tracker, choose from the menu - for fish or bugs. Only use honey lures for rare or epic bugs. You can use buzzy jars for them too, which a lot of players find more effective.

In regards to a player coming up and mining palium while other people are standing or waiting for others to join, we've been pretty much told, esp on Reddit, this is not a reportable offense. It might be rude but does not go against TOS. Even so, I'd never play that way. I'm mostly a solo player who doesn't call out palium, but I would not go break a node which had been called out or had other people standing around it.

But if a player was griefing me with a constant barage of fireworks after I asked them to stop and/or ran away, I'd might consider reporting them. Not sure what customer support would do, maybe just track that player for other complaints against them.

either they're worst coders 2024 and it depends on the maji market somehow, or they stealth fixed it because the devs got hit by the bug when adding new maji market content

That's not really true, some bugs are just really hard to fix. Or not high enough on the prio list to get fixed. And there's always bugs in any piece of software, it's not realistically possible to make a software completely bug-free.

I've seen too many bugs that took far too long to fix to have many doubts there to be honest. Chances are, it was not their highest-prio bug, it 99% likely did not get worked on the entire 144 days, and from what I've understood it didn't even delete your progress - just didn't show it.

144 days were likely not given full priority to fixing the accomplishments bug (which I was also afflicted by.)

AFAIK it wouldn't be given high priority status as it was not one of the big 3 issues (safety/security risk, major translation/interpretation error, and absolutely gamebreaking bug such as crashing or file wipes).

My progress indeed was not deleted. It's back to where it was prior. Once I had the accomplishments bug, it was not gone until the most recent and final solution to where my data is all back.

When they claimed to have fixed it a few patches ago, that was part of the patch notes. Their excuse the whole time was that it was a hard bug. I'm not interested in playing a game where it takes 6 months to fix every hard bug that pops up.

I was able to still complete some accomplishments such as the normal quality catch-all-fish, even when I was affected by the bug. I also completed the cook-all-meals accomplishments, both regular and star quality. It still retained progress.

If the Switch requires to buy a NSO for all accounts at the same time, you might be out of luck, but unless that's the case you should be okay.

I didn't know where to stick this. But I am starting to see a influx of aggressive and even downright disgusting players. Here is a really helpful tip. Get metal TV. Set it to 5 minutes. Then when something happens just press f8. Records the last 5 minutes. Gives you an opportunity to remove yourself from the situation without having to worry about anything right then and there. I use this to get the names of the players to later report. But only after I have removed access of myself to said person. I really hope this helps to protect all players. I love this game and the community. Also do you think that I should make a thread or report of people using bypass words to say vulgar things? I've already reported them just think maybe the devs need a list of the words. Or is it a waste of everybody's time? Am I going about this the wrong way?

That way I don't have to remember what I planted beforehand if I just harvest and replant each type of crop at one time

As fun as it has been here with you all I've decided to pop in and officially bid you all farewell. Been playing Palworld for the last week or so, and it's an absolute blast. Made in less time, with a fraction of Palia's budget, and without the industry experience some of the devs in S6 have. Granted it costs money to get it, but it really has helped solidify (for me anyway) that buying a game outright and not supporting it through a cash shop model is the way to go. If the aim for the dev studio is to get purchases as their main revenue source then they will do everything they can to make you want to buy that game. If it's the cash shop model then they will do everything they can to get you to want the stuff in the shop. Perhaps even to the detriment of the game if the focus becomes too great. The whole f2p pets argument comes to mind here. That said I don't regret the time (or money) I spent on here or in game in the slightest. It has been fun, but I'm over it. You win, WizardCrab. Perhaps someone else will take up the mantle and continue the hunt, but for me it is time to put the Old Bay seasoning on the spice rack for good.

So far, the entire endgame revolves around furniture/housing decor. There is almost nothing you can earn that isn't furniture, and even for things like upgrading tools, etc, what do you do it for, if not just to obtain more furniture in the end?

clothing and things on your char = paid
housing and etc = free

Exactly this. Cosmetics are often used as a way to show off your achievements to other players, there's a REASON why so many other games out there offer cosmetics or mount skins or pets as achievement rewards.... but all of your achievements in Palia are effectively isolated to your housing plot, that no one will ever see unless you friend them and invite them over.
The only achievements you get to show off while running around outside your plot is..... "I paid for a cosmetic" lmao.

Give communities a shared housing plot that they can build TOGETHER, as a group, that kind of thing. Palia claims itself to be an MMO but it feels more lonely than any other cozy game I've ever played.

I'm always hesitant to share my plot because of all the clipping I do. Without fail ever picture I share of something cool I made I will get 3+ replies from people asking the same question "How did you do _____ ?"

After a while it gets tiresome answering the same question for the 100th time. I feel bad ignoring them, but I just don't want to take the time to answer the questions anymore, so I just stop sharing my plot all together. It make me sad because I put in a lot of work, and I love how it looks and I would love to show it off, and I think people would love to see what I've done.

Awww... so I just got the Friendship gift from Dalihia, and it's kind of broken..

The rotational orientation when attempting to place it on a wall is on the wrong axis (Y instead of X or maybe Z instead of Y, dunno how they oriented it), so it rotates the wrong way when you try to place it, the correct way if in an invalid location when rotating, but snaps back to being "backwards" when placed on a wall, and then rotates on the wrong axis.

It snaps so the back faces forward and the front faces the wall. That's why it clips into the wall when placed. Easy mistake to make. Probably moved the orientation marker in Max or whatever they're using to do their modeling.

When the game was new there was some etiquette - sharing was encouraged, by the way that people participating in collecting flow-wood, and stones etc were all given the products - and encouraged to cooperate and collaborate with others.

Now, people on the game seem to be more rude, and impatient. There is markdly less cooperation. people seem to be just out to grab resources for themselves. For example the flow-groves system is being subverted. They are not prepared to call out flowtrees or paliunm or are not giving others a chance to travel acrods the lanscape to join in. I have just witnessed a flow-grove being stipped bare without giving others any chance to arrive

I'd suggest that these behaviours go against the entire ethos the game was set up with. It may be newer players who are not aware of the sharing cooperative ethos of the game or that various mechanisms are present in the game so it runs better when people cooperate - could I suggest that perhaps all new players need to have some sort of brief orientation presentation whih they meust view/reads and acknowledge before being let into the game? At the moment the friendly atmosphere of the game is being seriously damaged by the impatience and selfishness of some players

I reported it. I never count on anyone else to do it. If they're already aware, they're already aware. If not, at least I reported it in a language they can relay to their modelers and get corrected in a few minutes. It's a pretty easy thing to fix in Max.. you just select the orientation marker, tick the box to make it independent of the object, and click to reset the orientation. The marker reoients to the "world" (scene) and you re-export, and no more orientation issues.

This one is actually fairly simple. The idea is that the grid to place things IS THERE, you just have to place items like chests to line up with where the grid was removed in the openning. The grid will show up, and allow you to place things.

I think this lack of communicate is the reason why you are seeing what you are.

I would argue that the game systems are at fault- when someone else can 'take' a node from you, it turns the game into a competition. The cooperative element you want to encourage isn't something you can force, it developed in spite of the system, not because of it.
The Switch release is a large contributor to this , because the text is tiny and relaying messages in chat is more trouble than it's worth(quick chat feature when?), and it resulted in a huge influx of players, all at once, who were unaware that the game's playerbase up to that point even had an 'etiquette' system to begin with.

As it stands now, it's on S6 to re-evaluate the game systems that are causing this friction to begin with- Competitive nodes like the ones we have now have no place in a cozy game. Communication is really difficult on switch. etc etc.

And it is true, there are no writ rules that say you have to share, which is good, because sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I'd snip Flow Saplings and seedlings because I can. Bigger ones, I'll announce. Same with Palium... while a group is standing around waiting and waiting and announcing and flaring, I can usually find 3-5 more nodes along the way, and unless it's significate - multipe nodes, or multiple large nodes, I'll pick them up myself. Likewise, if I'm in a hurry, because I have limited playing time, I may not say anything, harvest and move on.

Someone called out a large FT. A few people called out OMW.
I was not one of those people. I doing something else, so I wasn't intending on going.
While I was doing my own thing, for the next 8 minutes in chat kept seeing the caller keep asking if one of the OMW people was still OTW - but getting no response.
FOR EIGHT MINUTES "XXX are you still coming?" "XXX are you lost?" "XXX do you need help finding it?" "XXX I put up a flare, did you see it?"
And the person just never spoke up.
I checked in the server, and the person was definitely still on the server.
After a 8 minutes the person finally spoke up with "Oh, I was OMWing to some other call out"

I wasn't involved in this other than just being an observer, but just observing this made me angry.

If someone's running up while you're collecting something, maybe you wait a sec for them, but it's unreasonable to make someone wait 10-15 minutes while you bus in friends from another server who then get lost for another 5 on their way over.

I was out in bahari a week or so ago and saw a girl waiting at a flow tree. she had called it out 5 minutes prior and nobody said they were coming, but I just happened to run past so started chopping with her so she could get it. she didn't chop and instead asking in chat again "anyone for this tree?". refused to chop with me. I waited a minute and a half and then just left. she then asked me where I went. just chop the tree ffs 😂. I do think the beginning of the game where people would practically be labelled criminals for chopping or mining something alone has contributed to this

Not to pun, but when it comes to resources, I mostly just go with the flow. Sometimes I make it in time if something is called out, sometimes I miss it. Either way, there will be more resources and so it isn't worth getting hung up over.

I think being able to spin up public servers with labels “mining no call outs” “mining with pal call outs” “fishing party” “ flow tree farming” could really help. In addition to the general servers we already have. To be able to pick specifically my play style via server would be great. Bc sometime I do want to call out and chat a lot and other times I just want to be a mining goblin and not talk

Since switch release I've gotten even less involved in community stuff.
If I need to fish/mine/bug catch/cook together for the weekly, I just spin up my second account on my switch.
