What do you mean by relog onto a different server? Changing maps and going back will usually put you in a new server

I like to go to different servers to get different ores, and I like to stay in the same area without changing maps. So I exit Palia and re-launch it, and it gives me a new server to play on. Rinse and repeat.

OK. Gotcha. As far as I know there's no way to force a server change under those conditions.

Hi, wondering if anyone may help with redeeming the referral reward? I had a friend sign up and make an account on Pallas website but I haven’t received the reward yet. I’m playing on ps5 since it launched but played on switch prior to that - loaded into my switch as I wondered if that was the problem - no reward there either. I did referrals successfully before they added the fun guy reward, and they arrived on my news tab almost immediately. On my own refer a friend page, it’s showing a tick for the first reward. Any ideas? Edit to add: or where I should ask advice on this?

I had trouble with my 2nd round of referral post Elderwoods, I wasn't getting the plushies nor the double of the fountain. They did send them all to me once I sent a ticket and I gave them more info. Just be aware that it might take a while before they respond. For me it took close to a month, but it was also just after EW released and they were swamped with tickets

If they ever release a switch 2 version it'll probably look closer to what litterally all other platforms have. Switch one is just such old tech that it can't handle it (it can barely handle the discount version it has), hence why they removed a lot of the grass texture and all the pretty wildflowers. Does make it easier for us to spot forageable stuff on the ground without the clutter in the way though, so there's that I guess

When I glitch furniture I use a builderstone with a rug on it, then place that on top of whatever I want to glitch. I make sure im selecting the rug and use the select all( let trigger for.xbox) and then the piece of furniture building block and rug move as one, but it thinks im placing the rug so I can put it anywhere I want.

Oh, sorry! I thought someone got back to you! The yt videos I'd recommend are by kfiercescene to start with for cancellation. That and the cup thing are your basics. Look for tutorials there that say they're for switch or console. You'll need to figure out what buttons=your consoles buttons, but all the stuff I can do on switch, you'll be able to do on yours 🙂 It's fun after you learn cancellation especially.
As for not getting an answer on the channel, they likely just missed your question. Their time zones are all over the place, but there's so many very talented and very helpful people in there that love assisting with issues like you're having. I'd try again in there for further specific assistance. I'm sorry I'm not more help 😦 I would still qualify as a beginner. I will say that the tool more powerful than the cup is to use a pillar with a small rug placed on top. It's the magic wand. Put the"wand" on what you were putting the cup on and group select on the rug. If that doesn't help, cancellation method likely will

Ok, so, I just hopped on Palia on my ps5 for the 1st time in a while (usually play on switch cause more convenient) and I can't enter the overview or placement mode with the designated buttons. What's up with that? Had to go through pause menu to enter placement mode and now I'm stuck in it cause the button still doesn't work and we can't open the pause menu while in placement mode. Seriously, that's so weird. I didn't have that problem before. For reference, I have L3 as overview and R3 as placement/auto run (idk why they decided to pair these 2 on a single button). When I press R3, it does the auto run only. Nothing happens when I press L3. And, no, my controller definetely isn't the problem cause all the buttons work perfectly fine in litterally any other games I play. Anyone else got that problem?

All arrows seem to have some kind of aim assist even if you deactivate aim assist, and it is bad. I can't count the amount of times I was aiming at a sernuk and the arrow curved for no reason to shoot between the one I was aiming at and another one

The update on my switch 2 didn’t take as long as it sounds like it took others, maybe 8-10 minutes. But the game graphics seem blurry and kind of pixelated now. Someone mentioned in another channel that their game was running better on Switch if it was in handheld mode. Just tested it on Switch 2 and yep - definitely the case for me. I never play handheld due to size, but the update seems to have done something that affects output from the dock to tv.

Switch 1 uses hdmi 1.4. Switch 2 uses HDMI 2.1. The cord that came with your switch is the proper one.

So you don’t need a different one unless you’re using the wrong one. But I’ll try a different 2.1 cord just as a rule-out thing.

@mint sedge you will need to open the main menu first, the one with all the different buttons for stuff (inside of game, after logging into game with charcter)

then you will see a button for 'support' (near bottom of list), so click that and you'll see QR code, scan that code (or type the URL into phone/computer/tablet, whatever)

after you go to that link from qr code, you'll see a web page with a form, near bottom (after the username/password stuff), you'll see something that says something like 'upgrade account' (i think that what it says, it doesn't sound like linking account, its more like upgrading), click on 'upgrade account link' then you create your palia.com account and it will automatically be linked to your game/character account

no, don't make a palia. account first, we will make the account using the qr code link, the qr code has the link to your game, that qr code link is how palia.com knows which console you have/account etc

if you make the account first, you can't link it to a console, you need to make it using the qr code

You can trade plushies, stickers and artifacts, either in the underground market (the first 2) or in the central stables in Elderwoods (for the latter)

You can visit other's plot either by the green board if they are up for tour or by the blue board which is a live visit. These are the boards at the entrance of your plot

So, I can't swear this is super helpful, but I was told that if you're holding your hoe before you start cooking, it cuts down on that nonsense. I can say that since I started trying this, I haven't run into this particular issue again (knock on wood)

But to actually answer your question: yes, it's a fairly common issue that has led to the burning of many a meal in my kitchen :p

For me, Palia is currently unplayable on the Switch. I was already having major problems yesterday; it just wouldn't run smoothly, but today it's gotten significantly worse. Every time I tried to fast travel, the software crashed due to an error, and I ended up frozen at the central stable in the Elderwood Forest, unable to play. 😭

if you're playing on a docked Switch try playing it handheld. lots of ppl have said switching to handheld solve the lagging in elderwood

I have my game laoded to the main memory which makes a difference. Having it saved on the SD card caused issues.

Tbf the switch 1 is very old in terms of technology, it's not surprising that it struggles more and more with every patch. My guess is that as soon as they get a switch 2 version working they'll drop switch 1 support, which would suck for people who can't afford switch 2 or another console/a good enough pc but I can't see switch 1 being able to handle a bunch more Palia updates without being utterly unplayable.

Also have just discovered I can go through elderwood while docked... ONLY if i have my camera entirely top-down facing but if i even move it slightly forwards it wont let me 😂 I can fish at the docks, but if i look behind me (where most of all the area is) it will lag.

Playing handheld isn't the best personally, i have arthritis and it gets heavy. Handheld is so much better than before the patch and I've had no crashes since(usually i would get 1 or 2 a day)

I am playing on Switch 2. No lagging playing handheld, very much lagging docked, particularly in Elderwood.
The lagging stops when I undock and returns when I dock again. Seems to be a loading issue for the most part because the lagging (docked) lessens after I’ve been in the area for a while.

I just experimented a little bit and if I get my watering can out and "use it" while walking forward, I'm able to navigate my plot without lag, as long as I stay in the mode of utilizing the tool. So watered my path forward all the way to Bahari. I've found it less laggy out here while my console is docked.

@jade sundial same. The screen is just too small. Using the kickstand and the controller together makes it only slightly better. But the small screen, IMO is very difficult, especially when hunting prey that requires several arrows and runs away fast.

Ah, sorry, that wasn't clear cause you asked how to add more than one person, implying you already knew how to send an invite. But yeah, like Slynnk said, open the menu, go to friends tab and in the options next to every friend there's an invite to party one

Switch 1 and if I undock it, the lag is almost gone but not completely. Docking it again brings it right back to unplayable. Although bcuz of the screen size handheld it's still unplayable for me.

Also on my Switch 2 the issue only happens in Elderwood and on my Elderwood Clearance Landscape.
Pointing the camera down to the ground in these areas also resolves the lag

I play on a switch 1 OLED and was having same issue. Then the game closed due to a software error and I couldn’t get back in! Removed it from the dock and it is fine now!

Playing on the small screen is poor ergonomics for me, though. Please try to fix this devs! We appreciate your hard work! 💕

I’ve been having this issue too. Everytime I try to accept friend requests, it gives me an error since my friends list is full. But when I go to unfriend someone to make room, I get the se error message. Sometimes restarting works other times it doesn’t

if you have a linked account then yes, its crossplay. when you started game did you click "skip" on the signup? If so, there's a specific set of steps you need to do to make a linked account. if you need walkthrough let me know, i walked someone through steps yesterday (they were on switch too) and I did it myself (ps5), because I clicked 'skip' at start, then needed to link to do twitch rewards

ok, first, pay attention to steps, it's easy to mess it up.

1. inside of game, open the main menu, click 'support'
2. you should see a qr code and hyperlink, use either to open that hyperlink
3. the hyperlink will have a code on it which is your switch device code (this is important and why we need to use qr code/hyperlink there)
4. when you open that page, don't fill out that form!, scroll to bottom of page where it says "upgrade account"
5. use the "upgrade account" link
6. fill out this form with email, birthday, etc. This will create a palia.com account linked to your switch account!
7. once that's done, log into palia.com using that account info
8. go to "accounts page", go to bottom of page, look in "characters" section
9. you should see your switch character name there
10. now you can use your account to log into pc, xbox, ps5, switch, etc. and play the same character - full crossplay

If you’re lagging when it’s docked, the reinstall won’t help. There is an issue with it being docked since the update. Undocking helps the lag for many people.

Yeah, I'm Glad I decided to check this chat out. Now. I know it's not just me. Ever since the update, I feel like I'm moving at 24 FPS on switch 2. Aiming wild bug, catching and hunting ogupoo take five to seven business days. I had to cancel a frog hunting party I was hosting. 😫😫 And now I have 11 friend requests from a cooking party. I was trying to host that I couldn't accept. I keep getting 409 errors and I can't click on the three dots to delete anyone. It won't let me click show more without giving me another error.

A 409 error when trying to accept/send friend requests usually means you or the recipient has a full friend list, which includes pending requests. Clear out old requests first.

while i haven't been to elderwood since the update, and mostly staying either on my plot or in kilima... it runs smoothly, no to little lag (especially noticeable in kilima with the windmills still stuttering), things load in in as soon as you get on to the server, and i can actually hunt muujin from trees without them jumping half way across the map. your miles may vary, but compared to playing on the s1, it's a big improvement. elderwood can and has (in the past, again haven't made my way there since new update) crashed multiple times. graphics wise - nothing to report, same as on the s1

the only reason i got the switch 2 is because of the hopes that there will be future games (animal crossing, pokemon, star fox, kid icarus) that will come to the system. palia needs(should) get a s2 version of the game so that it can be brought up to that of the pc and other consoles. ps5 version has all of the graphics that the pc version gets (all the flowers and textures) that the s1 game doesn't have

Ps5 runs very smooth. Some glitches but every system has those. If Switch 2 will be as good as that, ill definitely buy it. Love Pokémon,Mario games.... lots of Nintendo games.

If you like Nintendo, Switch 2 is the way to go! The price is really good for what you get (Switch, but 100x better) and it has some awesome games already, with many more coming (Kid Icarus Uprising port, please) Plaia will likely get a Switch 2 version soonish, as well!

This potentially could be a Microsoft thing. Some Xbox players report the Microsoft censoring will block player names as well.

You may just need to restart the game/your console as well, see if that helps.

What you can try is to clear-cut the area before chopping the tree you want. That way the muujins stay out in the open for longer.

hunter's horn, if you are at least level 8 hunting, get yourself the recipe to make them. they track all magical creatures and will even track the bluebristle to the tree that it;s at. though if multiple blues jump out of the tree it will track all of them so it doesn;t help to track the one you were hunting previously
