Runs anybody's Switch fluently in the tower? I can't get my jumps timed with those massive frame skips... I played Guild Wars 2 in the past and loved the puzzles 🥺

A bit of minor stutter but not too bad, sometimes I can't seem to keep a foothold on one of the surfaces though. For the tower it is best to follow a path you will less likely fall and don't go in too quickly. I find it stutters more when there are other people around me so I miss jumps more often, kind of wish there was a server with less people in those instances. I used to play GW2 too! good times. I miss the winter Parkour, it was super difficult but super fun

Been playing mostly on switch the last few days, thinking it may be worth putting in a ticket with some button map suggestions.
The switch might not easily allow for custom remapping, but maybe if people suggest their preferred button layouts the team can make some presets.
Something with a little diagram maybe in the preset menu that pointed to each button showing what it does.

star crops also can make your food give more focus, but it's not gauranteed.

You can sell star crops for more money, but I tend to use them in cooking or the seed maker

I'm not great at the mini games, but so far, I just have the stove and prep station. I only have 2 soup recipes. Both require using the prep station to chop veggies and then stir a pot on the stove. I have another cooking station, but can't remember what it is and I don't have any recipes that use it

Fish must stay in between the icon bars and should be green in order to pull the line. If you press the button when the bars are not green you drain health. Once health is empty: Fish gone.

If you have problems to get a fish on the hook: There is a sound and animation (and on switch vibration). In theory is every fish after the pole went down 4 times.

I've found that filling the water can is hit or miss most of the time. I unequip the water cana nd then re-equip it. That seems to reset the problem and let me fill the water can.

It's like sometimes I can move items in my backpack and sometimes I can't. There are definitely bugs on the Switch when it comes to controls.

Yeah, in a soil plot. I have two right next to each other and the tree takes up a whole plot but I accidentally put it down right in the middle so it takes up part of two plots.

I've been able to move plots with crops, so maybe you can. Just click down on the right stick to enter move mode. Then try to target the tree and see if you have the option to move it.

though thinking about it more, I moved the plot, not the crop...

from what i just read on the wiki, you can get a max of 4 tomatoes from a plant before it expires. But then you need 3 tomatoes to make 2 seeds. So you can get ahead, but that's only if you collect all the tomatoes from the plant before it expires.

oh no, switch suffers the same about updates being out. I played Cult of the Lamb, and there was a bug with the game that teleported you all over the place due to lag. not good for a rogue like game with combat. pc/xbox/ps all got the update to fix it in a timely manner. took switch like 3 weeks until it rolled out. at that time i had moved on

It’s a bit glitchy for me. Sometimes I have to exit the whole game and then reload it to get it to work. Also make sure you have synced to the same server first or it won’t work

I moved the game to my internal storage and it runs a little bit better. Not a drastic improvement or a miracle worker but if you have the space for the game in your internal storage I definitely recommend moving it. You can do this in system settings -> data management. Or power down the console completely, remove the SD card, and download the game without the SD card inserted

For note, I didn't use unplayable as an exaggeration. I've been playing off and on the PC since launch and have dealt with the issues. I was only wondering if it was the game or the switch being unable to handle it. It was still playable on switch on launch day this week for me. But the last 2 days, the input has gotten so bad that the camera is constantly turning by itself, making my character move or any other button is literally not doing anything. Sometimes waiting helps but sometimes I just have to quit the game out because of being soft locked in an interaction. It's not just graphical or humorous errors anymore.

Have you tried different controllers?. Neither I nor my sister has had issues like that with Palia on switch. HOWEVER we have seen it in other games and it is linked to the controller malfunctioning. A switch to a different set always fixes it and that is her backup set now.

I had a weird bug happen. I was making the hearty veggie soup and instead of it coming out with 3 soups, it gave 21 and the whole stack was star quality. Also, my focus bar was empty when it was halfway full before. I'd check my veggies, but I haven't been keeping track of those. I had a lot and it still looks like I have quite a bit, so not sure if it used the normal amount.

if you just started playing on the switch and you didn't make an account on the website, you can't link that specific switch account to any cross-platform account on the website (as of now). HOWEVER, you can make an account on the website, and the make a new profile on your Switch, and link the account on the new Switch profile to the website acct when you start it up (but you'd be starting over from scratch--probably not a big deal since it hasn't been long since Switch launch but I guess depends on your personal preference how much that matters to you)

the switch is a potato with a screen. yes, there is performance issues including lag at times (i find it most often in or near the village where a lot of people are), npcs and creatures movements are not normal (walking sideways, moonwalking, not even moving legs like they are on a moped, teleporting). but it hasn't been to the point of "i can't play this at all because of the lag". it does get itself in order after a few moments.

Yeah the lag in town is the worst and when hunting. It’s not fair the deer can warp in and out of existence lol. I haven’t had any issues with it when I’m doing a temple.

When you except a friend request your not going to them on your friend list they only show when their online

so, the friends list that you .... i just had a wolf hit and run wth... there are naturally three parts to the friend list. the top shows friends online, this may be closed/empty if no friends are online. next below that one is the server, all the people on that server that you are on, and then all the way at the bottom is friends offline, which should show your friends

i’m getting a lot of connection errors on the switch ^^^ same as the above but, also sometimes the game just boots me back to the entrance screen. i disconnected and reconnected my wifi but the problem persists occasionally

if you're going through the inventory, have you tried to back out of the menus and then go back in?

Also when other games use different controls for sprint and pick up and that's what you're used to. Took so long to get used to a instead of y for picking up

You’ll need to level it up because you’ll need them for a quest with Jina where you have to catch specific type of bugs and then taken them to unlock the Phoenix puzzle

In inventory sometimes it’s glitchy, but press A over what you want to move and then move the selector to whatever spot you want and press A again. Sometimes it takes leaving the menu entirely and repeating until it works.

Furniture on plot you press in on the right thumb stick.

You know some people get to play with their friends on servers, I haven't worked that out

If you’re trying to play with friends you need to be on your plot or they need to be on their plot for it to work. Other players says it works 50/50% of the time, that’s also something the developers need to fix when they come back from break
