1 - Pick/Bucher: jump then "action" to launch the action in advance
1a - After the 1st hit, launch the 2nd hit in about 1.5 seconds to increase the rate.

2 - Pickup: While moving forward "Jump" then "Pickup" at the same time will cancel the animation time

3 - Insects: the red cross reaching a larger size indicates the moment when the ball should reach the insect to make the capture easier
3a - the rare ones are obtained more easily by making new insects reappear

4 - Fishing: Release the action button when the fish jumps or out of cursor and fill the gauge to the max
4a - Cook your "spicy" fish with the players

5 - Hunting: Right click just after a throw to cancel the animation then left click when the character no longer moves after reloading to relaunch
5a - use 1 poisoned arrow on the magic muuji to follow it with the smoke

6 - Inventory: full, you can always pick up a bag containing at least one ingredient already in your possession
6a - Divide a pile (of apples) into 2: Hold SHIFT then move the pile
6b - (PC) Press space to validate your purchases and use a secondary shortcut to use your tools/seeds instead of the mouse

7 - Fountains: Jump ~10 meters in the center of a fountain well will propel you quickly and higher.

8 - Loot: Recover a "pile of debris" inventory full or a seed via the statue of galdur, full, and with the 4 types of wave tree seeds to more easily recover a recipe or wave tree seed.

8a - Change server (consult the list of players) to change the loot

9 - Gardening: dig on the face of one side of a square.
9a - place the trees close to each other and water by alternating with the next one

Yeah I was just typing, you have to open them in your backpack within your inventory menu from your main menu on switch, you can't open them in your chest stroage access I believe

If they're not open-able, they're just quest items you'll likely have to give back to npcs during the completion of your quests, if not and after all your quests are done, like Ciri said, you can toss em in storage

Yeah that's really all you can do with quest items. For example, the only thing you can do with the pebbles are gift them to einar the same way you'd gift a normal item, just tab over twice in the gifting menu to the tab. Look up the rest of the items on the palia wiki for specific walk-throughs!

And a final note: some found items quests can be picked up/interacted with again once completed so you'll end up with a duplicate item. Again, just throw it in your storage if you want!

the closest thing is the hook time buff, it makes fish bite faster so you get more chances to hook an epic fish in the same amount of time.

and fish in the bubble hotspots when possible, those give a slightly higher chance of catching rare fish

thats your focus bar, the purpose of it is that whenever you do a skill such as mining or fishing, you gain xp, allowing you to level up that skill, having focus means that you gain more xp if your focus bar is filled up

judging by that photo, it seems that your bar is empty, refill it up so you can level up your skills faster

Yes, you can unpin romance pins for any, remove all, you can romance NPC without wearing any pins, (iirc there was a 1 week cool-down period ) Each pin slot can be changed once per week. There is a notification Upon trying to remove the pin from the Pin slot, you will get the following message: "(NPC of choice) might not be happy if you remove this." However,
removing the pin will have no effect on the relationship/friendship with them.
It does reset romance if you actually break up with them, but only levels, if you have already romanced and received gifts/rewards those do not repeat again and you lose none, however the romance level bar will commence again
There is a little notification that says breaking up with NPC will upset them etc if you choose to actually break up with them by selecting breakup on the options gear wheel icon under relationships panel for NPC ... but do not worry about that. No harm from removing pins
Also you can choose to keep wearing those 2 pins if you wanted, and romance all others, there is no impact romancing all NPC.

Basically if you already have completed and reached the max level of romance with NPC, and have all the rewards, yes it resets the relationship romance level bar, (love meter) you start filling that up again, but you will not receive the rewards again, those are a once off. Portraits, pins etc.

Many of us have romanced all NPC purely because we wanted to have all portraits, their pictures are quite cute to have 🙂

Romance in palia, IMO is not a proper romance, not a marriage like other games. End of day after romancing all NPC, they are more flirty if you flirt with them, which you don't need to do, avoid those dialogues. It is just an extra to the game, but has no impact to the main story of the game/ quests as such.
Palia does not require you to romance NPC. Its there as a bonus, more gifts, something extra do, totally optional 🙂

quick question: How can I or can I even set up more than 8 boxes? I've seen in videos that people have 10,000 storage space which is more than 3x as much as I have xD

The limit for regular chests is 8, but they can be upgraded twice to provide better storage. Recipes for upgraded boxes are in the cash register at the back of the furniture shop, where you'll also find a lockbox recipe. You may also have up to 3 lockboxes, which give you 100 slots each of protected storage so things aren't accidentally crafted or traded.

If you have everything maximised you end up with 10,300 slots (with lockboxes)

As a workaround for this if you send a party invitation to someone anyway and they* accept, the ghost party will go away and you'll be free to leave that newly formed party and reform another if you want (until it happens again) and try to leave parties manually going forward before logging off if you want to avoid this happening more often

Yes it's a common party bug since market came back. A workaround to this is inviting someone into your party (they will need to accept the party invite) then it will self-correct and your new party will show & you'll be able to leave and/or reform another party

yeah, if a fish you don't want bites, just let it leave. then reel in and recast otherwise the same fish will keep biting. this doesn't use bait

For Renown, yes

Renown is earned from chatting with them, you earn this renown for that, gifting counts towards your friendship level. The points are different. (see the initial link for villagers I linked up, it shows what gifts and how much friendship points you gain from each item) I'll also link you a wiki page for more detailed info.

I need a hand, what does over prep mean in cooking parties i understand that its a bunch of people over making that one ingredient but my question is do u gain the reward?

In cooking parties they assign everyone a position, be it stove, oven. prep station or mixing stations , chop, stir, bake whichever ingredient etc, or you choose your position .

There is no reward, you gain to level up faster, you get food quicker, you also if you have reached level 10 cooking, can complete your weekly cooking achievements this way faster.

cake party i know only requires 4 leafers but they sometimes have like 9-10

It basically means that you make more of an ingredient than is needed. For the cake you need 4 sweet leafs, but if you’re overprepping then you’ll add more than is needed. So a total of 5 or more sweet leafs will be prepped etc as an example

Midnight paddlefish are active from 9PM-3AM in Kilima Lake and the Maji Market. You catch them with glow worms. I caught them when I was fishing for the Ancient Fish.

To catch the Duskwing, you should drop a Honey Lure near the Dragon Shrine. Buzzy Jars don’t help since Duskwings are Uncommon.

That occurred quite a while back after one of the updates we had, and everyone had to go back and manually turn on all of the lights, candles, tubs, sinks etc. afterwards that they had on.

Were they on builder’s blocks? Crafters don’t like being placed on them. Check the main gate of your Housing Plot.

You can also try picking up the building block they were on and wiggling it, or pocketing it entirely then hopping plots, it should pop to the front of the plot. Crafters, cooking stations included, can't be placed vanilla on blocks anymore

I believe when this happened on a grand scale, the simplest trick was actually just hop plots or reload your game for the station/crafter to appear at front of plot

Each time you use a 30 day period, you can purchase another ZLC to top-up again to the 180 cap.

there are two relevant achievements: one for catching all bugs once, and one for catching all star quality bugs once. if you catch a star quality bug it'll count for both achievements. you don't need to keep the bugs after you've caught them, though you could just to be safe

i collected all 3 balloon-types from the Maji-market balloon game (purchased another one of each with tickets to have a symmetrical setup for my plot entrance).
But than i found this page:

It shows a balloon with the same shape like the middle one from the balloon-game but with a different name and texture. Where does it come from, and was it obtainable any time in the past?

Whenever i was invited to a party at the mansion of the mayor, there where balloons as decoration, that look different to the ones, that i have on my plot now.

Yes it happens sometimes with a high difficulty recipe with many prepping steps, you need to check and manually change the ingredients if you don't want to repeat the same ingredient. Food out come is short 2/3 probably you failed a step, during cooking or add ingredients there will be a timed step you might not noticed.

I was under the impression that if you get so many votes on the house tours you unlock the corresponding nameplate that people vote for, I wanted the nameplate with the pink hearts and I got 200 votes on that one, so why did it unlock a different nameplate? Hello I just logged in to palia and 2 of my flow trees are missing not sure why

They are almost certainly on another one of your plots- hop around to your active plots and when you locate them simply plot hop back to where you'd like them and they should stick. They'll continue to do this during the growth cycle changeover at 6a in game so if you'd like to prevent it from happening you can try staying on your plot that you'd like the flow trees to stay on when that time hits/when you log off or change map zones for activities.

Leather comes from animal hide, fabric comes from cotton, and silk comes from silk thread obtained from rare bugs.

Spitfire cicadas are easy to find in south Bahari with a buzzy jar.
Giant Kilima stingray and giant goldfish are epic fish, it can take you 50-100 casts (or more) to get one. For the giant Kilima stingray it helps to fish in the bubbles, higher chance.
Ancient amber beetles can be found naturally in north Bahari, but they also have a 5% chance to spawn from chopping medium and large sapwood trees anywhere in Bahari

Alright here's what ya have to do- you have to be the one to send the party invitation when your party is bugged and they have to accept, then it will show the party properly and you'll be able to add people, leave, reform etc.

I discovered the card game today, and it's a lot of fun. One thing I was wondering, though, is what's up with the "spam" table? What does that mean? People in chat were telling people to check chat before joining the spam table, but what am I supposed to look out for?

Is it like a special playstyle?

Spam tables are where the players all 'spam' the spacebar (or whatever it is on Switch) to immediately bypass their turn, therefore cycling through to the max number of rounds to skip gameplay altogether. It's a way to farm the Zeki coins. Fair warning, the constant zooming in and out can induce headaches and motion sickness.

Under the right circumstances it can be. A full, cooperative table can make 30 to 40 coins in one night if they aren't spending the whole time trying to fill the seats. Hi did you try reloading the game or leaving/reentering the map? If you leveled up while in the same map it might have just needed a rezone to register your proper level to access the store

i just started playing recently but how many times can you give a gift to a villager a day? online it says 1 every 24 hours IRL but i swear i've given 2-3 gifts today. i just didn't pay attention to the timing

It just passed the daily reset time a little bit before you can gift again so maybe you encounter this and yes they do only accept one gift a day. Daily reset at <t:1741924800:t> (this shows your local time)

OK - In my friends/party list it shows that I'm in a party but I'm not. Is this a bug and how do I fix it??

It's a UI bug and it has been there for a while now, you can join and leave the party as normal. If you have problems joining a party, try reloading the area or restarting the game.

hey im having some trouble! Im trying to start a party with my friend but the menu is saying im already in a party (members 3/4), however, this isnt true. I have no other friends (and havent until today) and have NEVER joined a party previously. I have a button to leave the party but when i click it, nothing happens. Any ideas?

would this be a better question for tech help?

You can find the completed quest in your quest menu, there's no visible list of hidden quests in-game or else they wouldn't be "hidden"

It stays like it no matter, if you and your friend are currently not in a party and no party member (name and pfp) showing under the focus bar, you can add each other through the friend menu and click on + icon to add to party.
