I normally use the small fishing hooks, but getting the large ones do help a lot. When I was trying to catch my first ones I used those. I was using large area typically.

my issue is with the fish that swim back and forth rapidly, I can barely keep it within the paranthesis

don't feel bad, the star quality ancient fish, the unicorn fish and the giant kalima stingray were the hardest ones for me to catch. The star ancient fish got away from me at least 5 times before I caught it.

I think the bookshelf glitch is back again. I had a potted flower placed on my homestead bookshelf and I accidentally picked it up. Went to go place it back where I originally had it and I keep getting the "something is in the way" message. This persists even with completely empty shelves

when i use the fertilizer that boost how many items i get when i harvest when does it use it? if i place it on the plant once fully grown will it work?

u need to apply fert to every grow stage of the plant

lets say potato, which grows 5 days, to ensure the harvest boost u need to fert all 5 days (u can stack fert on one tile so u don't need to apply it every day)
if u apply it only once u have a 1/5 so 20% chance that the fert boost gets applied

Is anyone having issues fishing with glow worms in bahari bay? As i'm reeling in the fish I keep getting stuck all the way left or right, unable to move until the fish gets away. I took the bait off and it was much simpler but uhmm that is not an issue since i'm lvl 65+ in fishing.

I'm struggling to harvest non-starred ingredients. Almost every harvest I make are all starred vegetables and fruit and it's driving me crazy. I'm not using any fertilizer to get quality items. It sucks because it's making cooking food that gives me enough focus really difficult.

Especially with rare 'Gatherable' items that are super rare to find starred. I don't have enough ingredients to make regular quality food, and to make it worse every ingredient isn't available for purchase.

Anyone know how I can go back to harvesting regular quality ingredients, or am I stuck like this forever?

once you start the recipe if you dont have the foregables stared it will let you use non star quallity ones only the ones used to start the recipe have to be stared

You don't need every ingredient to be star to use that option, it just allows you to use star ingredients at all

yeah, i've been trying to get the starred proudhorn antlers, so i just run north bahari like a chicken with my head cut off and just collect all the sweet leaves i can find. i also have an unhealthy obsession with the dragontide fern planter, well any of the potted plants, and a majority of them require sweet leaf in the recipe

It is currently a known glitch that people are talking about, some people have been able to use /unstuck to get around it but if it’s not something you can access I’m not really sure what the fix could be. You could try going in settings and turning off the cooking animations?

yes /unstuck in chat is the only workaround for that issue atm. you used to be able to fix it by opening and closing the housing menu but that stopped working with the latest patch

Dear Palia game developer. Thank you for a great product of your creativity and digital engineering. With pleasure, we play with the whole family. We especially like mining and gardening. The quests are interesting, but they require frequent hints. There are a few questions about the quests. In the fishing for answers quest, I have all three bottles reflected in the inventory quest, but it does not reflect that the quest is completed. Perhaps I did not finish some steps. In the hints, I did not find anything. And more in the location temple of winds quest with eggs I completed, but other quests I cannot do as I cannot fly to the last island (no flow at the main nest). Most likely, these are my mistakes, but maybe there are bugs in the game as well. Thanks for playing, and I would appreciate any help.

You can mine and if you get the gems (not starred) you can sell them. Save at least one star quality each of the gems. You can sell crops and bugs and fish. And food you make.

yea it’s a known bug with pick up quests that you can get duplicates everytime

You can sell iron and other stuff as well. Make sure you have your focus all the way up. I think as you level up the more likely you are to find the gems more often.

once you get gardening up (it’s a passive income really) to get a seeder and jammer you can make some good money, otherwise heros mining for star stones is good and selling meals, and it’s slow but fishing is good too (i think grilled fish is 46g still?) on the campfire per fish

if you get a worm farm/glow worm farm they can sell too if you don’t fish a lot (i don’t fish a lot) i make sure to keep 2 stacks of worms for me for fishing purposes (or if i need more i stock up) and i don’t use the fertilizers they produce (tho maybe i should sometimes) as i’m not a big gardener and they can sell for quite a lot (idk 100 worms, but 100 glow worms was like 2500? i think)

I do so. Certain gems are in certain nodes. I know amethyst is in the palium nodes which I have yet to find.

The onyx is in the copper nodes. It doesn’t really matter on the size I believe except I think there’s more iron and other materials in the big ones. Only one gem though.

i think the most are people’s quests to level 3 for most things, if you wanna do temples you can as it’s more “lore” quests really, i don’t that there are “game stopping” quests that if you don’t do them can’t do anything

Today, I've noticed a kind of "stutter" or if you will a "pause" after I complete an action (mine a node, chop a tree, fish, etc) then I try to MOVE ... if your tool is out, put it away before interacting with anything, but otherwise it'll still stutter here and there. i should probably report it so the devs are aware of the issue

elithesia is right, if you look at it it's because the corner of the large room is colliding with the corner of the harvest house. there may be a glitch you can use to get it to work (try asking in #🏡│decor ) but otherwise you'd have to put a hallway or something in between so it's not touching the harvest house

the gazebo is not for total amount of plots owned, in the first few months of open beta many players had 3 free plots instead of the usual 2 so make sure that u rly bought all 3, if the next one u can buy is still 100k u will need that one as well

Yeah there are several found items that can be picked up even after you've completed the quest. (such as the grocery list from flooded steps, and the small wish from chaynes temple)

Oh! I'm sorry, I missed the part about you looking for new quests and furniture. ||You can purchase new furniture recipes from Zeki in the Night Market and from Reth's Cash Register (The Paltech and Gourmet sets respectively. You can unlock the full sets by crafting the recipes, just like with the other sets.) As for new quests, look in the rooms of NPCs that you've completed their level 3-4 friendship quests for (even if you've already searched the room before the update), and also make sure you're grabbing the Rummage Pile in Bahari every irl day.||

I've been searching since the patch came out and I only found that little flag in Bahari and they only gave me a lot of wood and I've been going every day and I haven't seen anything again or I don't know if it changes location every day, I have the rest and the level As for friendship, I only have Sibura left

The Bahari Rummage Pile changes place every irl day and it only spawns along the Bahari coastline. If you're having difficulty locating it you can either ask for its location in chat or check https://discordapp.com/channels/809856101326913567/1172250012873408615 The items that you get from it are random and can be anything from some wood, to quest items, to at least one new decorative item recipe. (I don't know the full list of available items, unfortunately)

I suppose it depends on what you're doing a lot of. I have one of each worm farm, and I'm honestly constantly getting rid of basic worms because I simply do not fish enough to keep up. (Though if you're doing a lot of glow worm fishing a second glow farm may not be a terrible idea.) They are great for generating a lot of fertilizer. With the seed collector, it does take a while to actually get the seeds and you can only do one at a time, so if you're doing a lot of farming you might get 2 or 3.

they changed how mining works, it's in the patch notes: https://palia.info/patch177 all nodes work like forageables now, once it is broken it will persist for 3 minutes before despawning entirely. this does seems to affect drops if you just tap it and don't pick them up promptly enough, so my advice would be to call it out and then just break the pal immediately to ensure you get the drops.

atm nothing really, it says they won’t like that you took off/moved the pin from where you put it (even just switching its spot into the other circle) it puts the pin you took off on a weekly cooldown so you can’t put it back on until it’s done

there's a timer once an ore has been mined, you only have about 3 mins to get to it. I'd use the quick teleport board to get as close as you can so you don't miss the timer. Quick teleport boards are horseshoe icons on your map. They look like map stands

unfortunately the game doesn't tell you when an ore has been previously mined; sometimes people will think an ore hasn't started its timer and would call it out, and right after the ore will despawn that;s just unlucky but just letting you know now so that you're not disappointed if you rushed over and still don't see it

you'll be okay! Look to the skies and sometimes you'll see coloured lights; people will flare ore sometimes. And with the quick teleport board, you'll reach an ore about 80% of the time

you're still better off now the timer's been added, before the ore would've vanished the moment someone broke it. now at least you have 3 minutes to get there. if you can, use an ore compass, they point to large iron nodes and palium only

no unfortunately, you have to put another type of fert down and hope it gets used by next cycle to fully remove fert from the soil

with bigger plants actually you can remove it once you plant a blueberry/apple tree on that spot, for some reason that always removes it

I doubt it is a bug. It has worked this way since just after close beta.

But you can totally use non star stuff in a recipe they start as star. If you have anything the recipe needs in non star, you can use it. BUT if you have star too it will use star first

so the only answer is to keep whatever is used in that recpie star you dont wanna use in your safe storage.

I feel like fishing is the slowest skill to level... the best advice I can give is to max out your focus % at the phoenix shrine to 100%, and to always have focus food to keep your focus bar up while fishing, so you get that bonus. fish next to others for the speed boost so you can do more fishing in less time, drink your fisherman's brew so you can land more fish, and always try to land your fish perfectly (with the bar filled up from not letting them escape your reticule) because you get a significant (I think 20%?) bonus from that.

definitely go back to the phoenix shrine where you started the game and offer your renown to get your focus % up! there is also the dragon shrine on the top right side of the kilima map, you can increase your max focus there so that you can fill your focus bar less often since it's easy to forget to eat constantly.

personally, I think it is more important to get the % up at the phoenix shrine, but some people prefer to do both at the same time, just depends on your preference.

the EXP boost from your focus bar will help you with ALL things that you can gain EXP for, so it is very very useful for all skills to make sure you have the focus % up and are eating focus food 🙂

Mathematically definitely prioritize the Phoenix shrine. It’s out of the way but gives you the most important buff as long as you remember to eat.
Of course, the percent bonus only matters if you have focus, so prioritize dragon shrine if you do forget to eat. Focus worth half as much is still better than no focus.

the bonus is permanent, so now whenever you eat food to gain focus (in your focus bar), you will get that bonus % of EXP for any action you do that uses up your current focus. if your focus bar is empty, no bonus. so always keep it filled up! 🙂

this is part of the quest chain that starts with ||signet ring|| from the rummage pile. 🙂 you can get it by climbing up a nearby structure or using a water spout, and gliding down to it, and then looting it once you are close enough in the air

I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be floating that high lol, you can also submit a bug report about it being weirdly placed so they know it's happening like this to people

With the new update allowing you to change your character's appearance, they baked in a 1 week cooldown (resets with the weekly wants)...... However, it goes based on your system date/time, so if you just set your clock ahead of the next reset window, you can freely change your appearance as much as you so like.

(Just make sure to set the date back to current so other stuff outside the game doesn't break.)

the audio is pretty quiet but if you turn up your sound you can use this to figure out the different voices at the mirror!

thats a flow tree :D if you have a fine axe you might be able to get it your self (will take a little time) but usually those and the larger ones you need another person

there’s groves at 12am in bahari (watch for call-outs in chat if you can) but listen for a loud deep humming sound and which ever way is loudest is the direction it’s in , hit all the trees once so you get to it so you get loot

on PC, what do you do when you're stuck in front of the oven and you can't make the recipe and you lose all the components?

If you are in your own plot, press H key, it brings up the overhead build placement grid, then press H again to make it go away. You should be unstuck.
