What helps me to fix this problem was changing region settings on my PC, "country or region" and "regional format" was set on my country AND THAT WAS THE PROBLEM, so for the game to properly work you need to set "country or region" to United States, and "regional format" to English(United States). Hope it will help for some of you

Too late to help in this case, but when I only have access to some commands, I've found doing an emote helps reset the UI back to normal.

The "unable to connect" is not a issue on our side but on S6 servers and infra side (cloud services for sure). None of the remedies indicated by other gamers work. I have tickets with Palia support on this since mid October.... They even closed one as "solved" without waiting on my feedback on networking checks. I also tried a paid VPN on various EU and US servers to no avail. I have days like today I can play if, and only if I connect, for 2 hrs. The time needed to fill invent and come back home. Without then being able to leave plot without hitting same "Unable to bla bla bla". This is a SERIOUS issue on S6 side. Not ours.
Never played a game in 20 years where I was told to reinstall, use a VPN, store my furniture on another plot, change my region settings on my PC, etc... S6 is shooting itself in the foot well before release. And spare me the "it's beta". I have dozen of games on Steam. They work fine every day without a network itch.

Unfortunately, all anyone in this channel can do is give the tips we see work for some. It sounds like it works for a few people, but not for a bunch others. The only thing anyone can do is put enough tickets in to make S6 notice and care

You uninstall the epic launcher delete the folders and the registry entries and then download the launcher from the Palia website and install it

Ask the people on your server if anyone can host a cooking party. That really helped me learn. You need a prep table to chop and a mix table to mix, along with your stove and an oven. Eventually you will have recipes that require multiples of the furniture

You can start some recipes with the stove, but they will require work at the other tables. And some recipes start with the other tables but require some stove work.

If you chop alot of trees down it frees up the tree spawns to try to rng a flow tree
A popular area to do it is around the lighthouse

I'm sure people out there know areas where flow trees spawn normally. But I have the best luck at midnight every Palian day just waiting in Bahari Bay for a Grove to spawn (chat will tell you where they are usually, if you don't see it) :3

That is the hard thing sometimes with this game. Getting starred antlers, fishing up certain things (recipes, fish, etc.) it can feel like it's broken if you do it for a long time and nothing happens. So it's always that balancing act of "should I keep going or wait on this?"

trying to find the red beetles around the farm is a lost cause. Apparently they are only "rare" which should usually mean they are easier to find compared to "epic" rarity bugs

however, in just one outing I have caught more of these proudhorn beetles than I have seen red beetles

The beetle around the farm is extremely hard to find as it only spawns in a very small area and not 100% sure but I think it only spawns at night? (or at least I've caught all of mine at night)
If you want to farm silk it's easiest to do so in Bahari. During the day I catch Hairy Milipedes in north Bahari and the Azure Stonehoppers in Southern Bahari.
During the night I farm Vampire Crabs and can get up to 20 in a good night (with a Buzzy Jar)
Or just catch all the Purple Centipedes from Mining

I feel that Honey Lures are a waste for the really rare bugs.
I think I spent around 10 in the Maji Hollows and only got like 5 Duskwing Butterflies (not a starred one) in total and never a Spotted Mantis.

I have maxed focus all the way up to like 900, and honestly its been challenging to keep the type of food that fills me up in stock. Im finding only cakes and other really scarce food sources come with that much focus. Takes up room in the inv to store them all....

So final opinion for you all - if you have maxed your focus to past 900, the most effective, and least cumbersome, food to make and keep onhand is the Chili Oil Dumplings?

I personally focused on the focus bonus before the total focus. XP conversion will reward you actively more than maxing out focus.

1. you're missing a station

if you look at the cooking, do you see any of the tabs look "Red"

It’s always the station that you are starting the recipe with. It only allows you to start/add ingredients/finish the recipe there but for some reason doesn’t allow you to do any preparations there

Nothing else will really help as it should either be missing stations or missing ingredients
