i think node respawn speed might be affected by amount of nodes (less existing=faster). That combined with everyone mining rn would explain super fast respawn time. When i farmed palium, it's nodes would respawn faster then iron nodes nearby.

to visit a friend's house, if you have both completed the tutorial, go home and talk to the blue sign. They have to be home at the same time, and you can't build there or anything, but can water their crops, chop trees, etc. if they give you the technical permission to do so and you can cook together (and get the full food from it).

I found a mask in my garden while digging up the dirt... it started the whole 'mask' quest, and now I'm supposed to find the meaning of the masks which is, from what I find online, in the library which Jeni never gave me a key to yet.

I finally JUST reached level 3 friendship with her and have no quests from her to do anything EXCEPT find the meaning of the masks, but no key quest.

Flow trees can spawn anywhere a normal tree is. All over bahari. Normally I'd say you can find people flow tree farming, that is chopping trees so flows can spawn in, but nobody is doing trees since patch because they're mining.

If you mean the rare foragables, those are just tough. There's only one heartdrop lily on a server max, for instance. Dowsing rods can be really helpful.

For iron, it's the cliffsides in Bahari. I especially like the ones around the ruins east of Hideaway but of course since the starstone update, everyone is out mining them in full force. You can try to keep hopping servers until you get one that's less busy (or play at a very off time). Things will calm down eventually as people stock pile starstones. You're definitely not alone here.

Gazebo is for housing slots! You can obtain these by going to your house and clicking on the H menu. There is a dropdown at the top to purchase more housing slots- you'll have to buy three of these for 50k, 75k, and 100k respectively. Then, after that, you go to the townhall and buy a gazebo blueprint, take it home, then throw resources in to make it. This counts as a room. (The first gazebo should be free, but some players don't receive it, so better to plan to spend extra than to not plan for it and be disappointed).

You're not wrong. From my experience, it is the next Palia day and at least one cycle (morning, day, evening, night) away from when you last spoke to them.

So if you speak to an NPC just before midnight on Day 1, they won't be ready to talk to you again until at least day time (6am) on Day 2

It's a lot of bugs in a small radius, of course you get more to spawn the more you catch (so advisable to bring friends) which is why you're more likely to get a rare bug from one of those spawns. For more details #🐞│hunting-insects may be able to help.
