I don't know the exact amounts of Lunar XP awarded for a skill (and don't think this has been shared explicitly by S6 yet?). Essentially skills Lunar XP works like: every time you complete an action -- such as mining a rock and picking up the loot -- you earn an amount of Lunar XP. You can track the progress on a lunar path level with the HUD under your username in top left corner of your screen.

I know the XP we currently see on screen is for our actual skill level -- so when you see that pink 20xp when looting/picking up a that's for your skill level itself

Rest XP: when you are offline, you gain rest XP. This is a multiplier, so it boosts the Lunar XP you earn from a skill by 10. You can bank up to 24 hrs of rest XP

i think the lunar xp is the same amount that we get from skills, so if its 6 xp for foraging when collecting X, its also 6 luanr xp, 60 xp if you have the boost. but i haven't tested this theory

You're correct, so as you log back on and play, your rest XP depletes.

So for example, I log off for 10 hours overnight and then log back on the next day. I have 10 hours of rest XP to use during my current and active game session

For lunar XP via skills, I'm honestly not sure what skill would be best to grind out! From my personal experience, I did a lot of bugging (since this was fairy mantis release time too) and got 3 or 4 Lunar path levels in a couple game play sessions with skills XP only

The two dailies of course guarantee 1 Lunar path level per day, so combined with skills XP and a longer session, you could definitely get 2 or more levels a day
