I think what makes it easier for me is the haptic feedback. I can't rely on visual cues alone (for disability reasons), and the vibration makes it much easier to know when I've hooked a fish

i play with little to no sound, and keyboard/mouse has no haptic feedback.....i catch virtually every fish, every time....unless it's the first time and it's a twitch monster of a fish so i don't recognize it's pattern right away....

I still use keyboard sometimes but when I do, I've got to crank my volume high up bc hearing in one of my ears is practically non-existent (an exaggeration but only by a little). I rely heavily on audio cues and the 3 bait sounds before the actual hook screws with me too much, so I rely almost soley on the haptic feedback from controller

Although I can't blame my hate of fishing entirely on disabilities, it is certainly a skill issue on my part lmao

Fireplaces are different with the new housing stuff......if you watch the trailer that came out for the housing line, you'll see that there are fireplaces.....just a different way entirely of installing them into your house due to multiple-story houses

so with fishing, unlike other games that will change fish if you don't pull the fish right away....Palia keeps it the same fish every time it pops up, so even if you miss it the first time, if you don't pull your line outta the water, next time it pops it'll be the same fish

It doesn't, really. People who say this are generally worried about "easy mode for lazy people" but that's not the case at all. Again, read up on how NMS does this. NMS still has brutal RNG in the game and that includes fishing, which is also biome dependent.

That's fine, though. Most other resources (aside from bugs) have easier options to get them, be it player requests, shops, or quests. Having an easier option doesn't remove the ability to choose the harder one, just makes it easier for people who don't or can't do the the harder one

They will do that with a different pool of fish/bugs anyway, so what will you accomplish? And having a different pool for "the easy way" will lead to a whole host of other problems. Like, you will never be able to control the way people play, so why even bother? Give everyone the option so everyone can play instead of this weird gatekeeping because you believe that's what everyone should be forced to do to really earn it. And that's wrong.

you can do these tricks if it can remotely help with your fishing experience

• position yourself in a way that the camera blocks the fish, the game will outline the fish in yellow, which can help you see the fish better while you align it with your green brackets
• buy the different bobbers, though this still requires you to grind out your fishing levels to level 10 to access einar's guild shop

The best way to level farming (i think) is to plant produce that grows very quickly! Because harvesting is the biggest farming exp earner. So, basically, bok choy, and watering every 12 Palian hours. Fertilizing may also give farming exp, can't remember rn.

Ok so I checked and I was wrong(?) about Harlequin Feathers - I only have one Harlequin and it is white and red but…given that both Lavacake Feathers AND Sweetleaf Feathers have more than one colour combination (I have pekis that show this), then perhaps Harlequin Feathers may also be possible in more than white and red but I have no way to see if this is true as I have only one peki that is Harlequin so far. If anyone has a Harlequin that is other than white and red let us know please

This, bc most blind people do still have some residual sight. 100% loss of vision isnt as common as people think it is when they think of blind people, but saying I'm blind is easier (and still true) rather than explaining that I only have slight light perception in my right eye, and can only see directly in front of me to a short distance and its still all blurry with my left eye 😅

I love coffee. I love caffeine in general. I don't drink as much as I used to for many reasons, but I must have it in the morning when I get up or I cannot function. On weekends I will have double, but it's still not as much as I used to drink. I have CKD (from life long T1D, not from caffeine lol) so I'm far more aware of what goes in my body. Luckily, coffee does not affect kidneys like I was worried it would. Black coffee is a-okay.

Also, if you farm for something specific , like goldfish in your scenario, you're not gonna find it, go to the same area to fish for somehting else, you'll get it , trust. First rule of palia, game knows what you want in the moment and will not give it to you .

They're on pine trees I believe in certain areas. One of the best sections to look in is Mitana Grove tbh. You can knock them down with smoke bombs or arrows

Keep in mind, some folks will chop down trees in those areas too, not realizing they're the spawn point for honey. So if you need, just go home & come back out to that area to server hop. Mitana Grove has a sign that's super convenient for that

Im not one to complain....however why are people being so selfish atm. When I joined 3 months ago people would call out Dari, Lily, events etc but lately it seems they have stopped. I still do...flare before take or pick for maximum time before despawn...but just saying. Please be kind Palians....please be cosy 🥰

I think folks are trying to rush to get what they need to do all the new stuff rn. I see plenty of folks still calling out, but it's mainly the new map stuff or things for the current board

Chat is bugging for people atm and won’t work so there’s that, there’s people who can’t use chat due to disabilities or because typing on controller is hard and takes forever assuming the worst isn’t very Palian either

The amount of ppl playing (new and old) might have also been larger as that was still fresh after release of EW, that was the largest spike in players ever for palia. If you're looking for a specific plant I'm sure people will call it out if you mention it in the chat

i’m having good like at mitana grove, once you get all the honey it takes a few mins for them to respawn(they share with the nuts and also can be infected) so far i got 12 that way

yup! They stick out pretty solidly color wise and they're a pretty large & cartoonishly shaped hive

some of the larger trees may have 2, but normally it's just one hanging on a lower branch and they can spawn on the younger trees too
