About OP (Overprep) yeah so basically if u need X Y and Z to make a Cake, it doesn't matter if u have 25 people doing X, and 1 person doing Y and Z, everyone will get the Cake as long as you fulfilled the ingredients necessary and everyone participated, even if u did overprepared 24 times the X ingredient. Does that make sense?

had my first experience with the Maji Market today. (two nights) loved the balloon pop mini game, but i didn't have a great time with the chapaa chase. it felt like everyone running around like crazy and it felt too much like an "everyone for themselves" thing than collaborative, which is what the rest of Palia seems to promote and encourage. my first round i only got 1 chapaa, the second i did significantly better and got 8. don't think i'll ever be able to get the rewards on the stampcard for that though.
any tips on making the experience less...chaotic? or is this just. kinda the way things are

The way I see it, this is a game with a small team and they’re tackling a lot of exponential issues but there will continue to be others that don’t get fixed as quickly. I can send some pics of my spa later on (is nearly 1am my time rn), though it is still a work in progress. In a very basic description-- I used a grand harvest house-- bottom floor is spa, second floor is inn rooms, and I will make an attic eventually. The spa on the bottom floor is divided by stone wall panels to make rooms, where I put baths and decorations indicative of a spa. The plushie pools I put all in one room like a kids' spa area. I also had a dressing room and a bathroom, as well as a check-in station guarding the stairwell to the second floor and entrance so that only people checked into the inn could enter and exit. UwU

I am thinking of eventually adding another duplicate of this spa house so I can entirely separate men and women, but that is ambitious. For now, I just have a single general spa house.... A bathhouse of sorts, really.

You can craft things on your crafting bench or receive them from tish’s store which is the 2nd building on the road When you head to the mainland village. from you

you should get all the furniture, there achievements to craft some of the sets.
Just start by buying 1 recipe at tish's store and you will unlock the rest of that set by crafting. Once you are done with that set buy then next. I suggest one at a time to not get overwhelmed :).

Las someone on console it can be a bit iffy to do let’s say a cake party. Let’s say I’m in charge of making batter sometimes I’ll make frosting or sweet leaf because it will glitch to the wrong item in the list as I “click” on it. Generally as long as you do your part no one will be upset about a bit of over prep. So don’t worry too much about it, you got this!

If you’re on PC, open your map, and middle click the character icon. It’ll pin it to your compass.

You can use Paliatracker site to tell you what area they are currently in too. A few reside in bahari and won't always be in Kilima or at all (Like Tamala). Also with the Maji Market currently running a good chunk of the kilima crew will be there from 6-7pm to 3am every palia day for this week. c:

Unless active quests with them pull up the map it depends on the time of day where some of the NPC are

you can use the palia wiki and look up each npc's schedules and try to plan around it, do note that as of right now some npc's schedules are outdated and some dont include the ones who go to elderwoods as part of their schedule

Palia is not down/etc. Disconnection issues are common. You can potentially try to restart your Internet router, but all you can do is try to connect.

this is not a complaint, but it doesn't make sense that the gardening can doesn't deteriorate after participating in the flowers event

Its so you don't crap out in the middle of the event. It's the same reason why we seemingly have "infinite water" bc there are not easy access points to refill at most flower event locations.

It would cause much negative player experiences if your watering can stopped working in the middle of the event.

That's why I specified not easy access, not that there wasn't water access. Some of the spawn locations would take you a bit aways from the event itself to refill if you needed to.

My watering can goes out regularly during the event because I just don't fill it as much as I should.

The watering can only deteriorates after gardening but not when watering trees, flowers, or during the flower event.
Think it was just an oversight.

I think it was intentional in the design to ensure the event could run smoothly for players. I've had my water run out x1 because I was nearly empty when I started the event. If I remember to fill, never have run out of water during the event.

For events they dont want your equipment deteriorating or else it would cause people to not want to do the event. So that's intentional.

Gardening on the other hand is a mechanic and skill in the game.

I meant the can only deteriorating for gardening was an oversight because the premise being that watering = can decay is expected. Not that it should specifically decay for the event or that they did it wrong.

And it was mentioned that because it was the event the can wouldn't run out of water/wouldn't decay to preserve the can is inherently wrong because the can only decays for the gardens.

Like any time a tool is used outside of it's designated skill use it doesnt deteriorate which I think is intentional.

It doesn't deteriorate when doing events but it does for normal use like tilling the fields and hunting animals and fishing and watering your garden plots and plants.
