Basically everyone who participates get into groups, and hit the same bug, for example. People go in groups and pick up lillies with the chances of there being a ladybug, and when it comes out, everyone hits it. If a plushie comes out, everyone gets it cause you're in parties together and hitting the same thing

I have an issue with the courier pet system and the way they're monetizing it. Palia dev team has always said they are not monetizing core gameplay mechanics, only purely cosmetics. They have said, exactly: "If you can’t buy the things you earn, it also means you won’t be able to earn the things you can buy." I feel like this is just the start of monetizing gameplay mechanics, idk. Sure, it's small now and I'm sure most people won't care and will buy the founder's pack to get the extra storage. But they're clearly going back on what they stood on before.

I don't think its a big issue. if you read the patch notes they mention you can get one for free but completing a quest. so you don't have to spend money if you dont want to. plus some people dont want to spend their money on skins. So this gives them a reason to spend. Devs gotta eat too.

I totally get where you're coming from, especially if you’ve been following their original stance closely. Personally though, I don’t really see it as an issue right now. I’m actually glad they’re offering extra perks for those who want to support the game a bit more. As long as there’s still a way for everyone to earn those things through regular gameplay, I don’t mind them adding optional bonuses on the side.

So, this is an opinion, and not a particularly persusasive one. The "upgrade" is minor at best. I don't think having an extra 4 items every 10 minutes is enough to throw hands over.

I think it's minor enough to not be "missed" by F2P, but enough for min-maxers to want it, and make some extra money thorugh a relatively fair means.

So, funny enough, i actually specialize in this at work. The idea of Least Trust principle, and how it's generally abused in the wrong direction.

I think, if you have the view of people that I do, tha tmost of them are relatively okay, you have to see if they'll cross the line before you can assume they will. I think we can only wait and see where it goes. If it accelerates, then the mistrust is founded. If not, then we've extended them trust, and they've repaid it.

I think there blog post was pretty clear. Some players don't want the skins and this is for players who might want some in game convivence. There really is no winning in this game. If you could fight people to get exclusive items and could pay for bonuses thats one thing. But its really just saving you a quick trip home so you can get more crafting items/ decor for your home is guess lol

Totally fair take. Personally, as long as the core content and progression remain accessible to everyone, I’m okay with a few optional perks here and there. If it ever gets to the point where you can buy, like, 60 levels and skip early gameplay entirely that’s where I’d start to feel uneasy too. For now though, I can see them leaning more toward things like furniture packs down the line, kind of like what The Sims does.

It is a change in direction regardless of how small it may be, which is why S6 felt it was necessary to write a blog post about it in the first place. They need to see feedback in order to know how to proceed with their strategies moving forward, so I think players provding their thoughts and concerns is important.

As there is no competition with other players there is not really a line to cross into p2w as there is no winning in this game. As of now they offer a minor convenience for some money. If that is the line you draw that is your decision entirely.
I would draw the line if they block content like new areas, quests or (and that is personal to me) decoration items for f2p.

The vast majority (if not all) of the concerned players I've seen aren't upset that there are paid items in this game. They understand that premium items need to exist in order for the game to be sustainable. The concerns revolve around the monetization strategies themselves, the items and their functions, the pricing, etc. Properly managing those aspects of the premium shop is just as important for the game to succeed.

so i can definitely see this one from both sides. on one hand, why do you need 30 crafters, on the other, if it has a limit but we can pay to break it, then there isn't really a limit and that's crappy.

with the current pet thing, i would be much more inclined to be upset about it if we only had the basic 8 inventory slots and no overflow feature. with crafting, i would be inclined to be upset if we were confined to, say, 10 crafters. but the game is INCREDIBLY generous in it's mechanics with having 30 crafters and the overflow system, so it's just really nitpicky to be upset about it
